Abstract

The student program, which includes extracurricular activities, student organizations, and social activities, plays an important role in supporting the character development of students. This research aims to analyze the influence of student participation in extracurricular programs on character development at SMPN Sijunjung. This study employs a quantitative method with a survey approach and cross-sectional design. The research sample consists of 200 students randomly selected from several middle schools in Sijunjung. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire to measure students' perceptions of their participation in student programs and character development. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, specifically Pearson correlation, using SPSS software. The research results indicate that students' participation in student programs is positively and significantly related to their character development, with a Pearson correlation value of r = 0.65. Sports extracurricular programs have the strongest influence on character development, followed by student organizations. More frequent participation in student activities is also associated with a higher level of character development. This research suggests the need for an improvement in the quality of student programs and stronger support from teachers, parents, and school authorities to maximize the positive impact on students' character

This research uses a mixed approach, namely qualitative and quantitative, involving 300 respondents from various stakeholders, including students, parents, educators, and government officials. The data collection techniques that will be used in this research include surveys, interviews, and content analysis. The analysis used in this research employs SPSS for descriptive data and thematic analysis methods for interview results. The research results show that social media serves as an effective tool in disseminating information related to education policies, with 89% of respondents agreeing with this. Additionally, 70% of respondents stated that social media facilitates public participation in the education policy-making process. There is doubt about the extent to which input from social media is considered by policymakers, with 40% of respondents expressing skepticism about this. An analysis of the content of 300 posts related to education policy revealed that issues such as educational gaps, curriculum, and access to technology in online learning are top concerns for the community, with 75% of posts showing negative sentiment towards existing education policies. These findings show the importance of increasing digital literacy and creating a more inclusive mechanism so that people's voices on social media are more accommodated in policymaking

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of technology usage on the work ethic of educators and students in Islamic Education learning at SMPN 2. The approach used is qualitative research with a case study design, involving data collection through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results of the study show that the use of technology has both positive and negative impacts on the work ethic of both parties. For educators, technology facilitates access to teaching materials, improves time efficiency, and enriches teaching methods, which leads to an increase in motivation and commitment to performing teaching duties. However, the main challenge faced is how to ensure that technology does not diminish the moral and spiritual values that are the core of Islamic Education. For students, technology enhances motivation and engagement in learning, provides flexibility in studying, and makes access to teaching materials easier. Nevertheless, there is a tendency for students to be distracted by other technological features, which can reduce their focus on religious studies. This study also finds that technology can be optimized by designing its use in a planned and directed manner, both for educators and students, so that it remains in line with the objectives of Islamic Education, which emphasizes character building and morality.
