Abstract

Urban issues such as limited land, traffic congestion, and air pollution in Jakarta require efficient solutions. Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) is a concept aimed at maximizing land use and improving public facilities around transit hubs. This research evaluates the implementation of the TOD concept at the Harmoni Busway Station in Central Jakarta using QGIS software to assess data conformity with TOD principles. The results show that the Harmoni Busway Stop meets most TOD principles, mainly walking, cycling, and connecting, with sufficient sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and intermodal connections. However, further development is needed in mix-use and eco-friendly facilities to optimize the area's function as a sustainable transit hub.

Abstract

Reduced land for development, congestion due to the large number of private transportation, and air pollution are some of the problems of big cities like Jakarta that deserve to be solved with efficient solutions. Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is a concept for developing a transit facility that has the principle of maximizing land and improving adequate public facilities. Tanah Abang Station is one of the largest stations in Jakarta which acts as a Primary Activity Center. In this regard, planning is needed so that the Tanah Abang station is integrated with other modes of transportation to increase the effectiveness of the station in the development of the area and activities around it. The research aims to see the suitability of the application of the TOD area at Tanah Abang Station by analyzing the supporting facilities there and the availability of transportation facilities with the help of ArcGis software to determine the suitability conditions of the TOD concept

Abstract

Strong cohesion within a community is reflected in its residents, where they feel a strong sense of togetherness, frequently interact, and engage in activities with neighbors, showing a keen interest in staying in the area. Conversely, communities with low cohesion experience the opposite. Gated communities are often promoted as ideal environments for fostering community ties due to the social-economic homogeneity of residents and enhanced security. Additionally, there is a connection between the level of community cohesion and the willingness to report or intervene in criminal activities. This study aims to assess the level of cohesion in the gated community of Taman Diponegoro using the Housing Cohesion Instrument developed by Buckner (1988), known for its reliability. The research covers Taman Diponegoro and Rolling Hills, which feature similar housing designs and prices. The survey method, along with second-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and scoring, was used. Out of 154 members in the WhatsApp group, 48 participated. Results show that cohesion is moderate, with residents rarely visiting each other. The large number of housing units, over 100, aligns with the rise of individualism. To improve cohesion, limiting the number of homes in gated communities is recommended.

Abstract

A brief, clear and comprehensive summary of the contents of the article containing : The problemsBlok M area located in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, one of the locations for the development of transit-oriented areas or Transit Oriented Development (TOD). TOD development is carried out in areas that have added value, by encouraging sustainable movement through increased use of public transportation. The development of the area also prioritizes facilities for non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians integrated with transportation nodes. The aim of the Research This research aims to evaluate the Blok M TOD Area to what extent the level of conformity of the development of the Blok M transit area to the criteria of the TOD concept. Research methods, The results show that the level of suitability of the Blok M transit area is only 85.215% or the Blok M area has not yet reached the TOD standard. To realize a more ideal TOD, sustainable space management is needed, reducing dependence on private vehicles, and improving the quality of public spaces that are friendly to all levels of society. Results and discussion, The results show that the level of suitability of the Blok M transit area is only 85.215% or the Blok M area has not yet reached the TOD standard. Abstract

Mount Merapi is one of Indonesia's most active volcanoes, posing a persistent threat to surrounding communities. Wukirsari Village, located in Cangkringan District, is among the areas most vulnerable to volcanic eruptions due to its proximity to active river channels and its inclusion in high-risk volcanic hazard zones. This study aims to identify and assess alternative evacuation routes that meet the safety standards set by Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency. A quantitative approach was employed, using spatial analysis techniques through Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the Network Analyst extension in ArcGIS. Five core parameters guided the route evaluation: route length, road width, direction away from the hazard source, presence of river obstacles, and estimated evacuation time. The findings indicate that among the three routes analyzed, the path to Barak Desa Wukirsari was the most optimal. It offers the shortest distance (0.82 km), the fastest travel time, and avoids both river crossings and the highest hazard zones (Kawasan Rawan Bencana III - Zone III of the Hazardous Area). This research contributes meaningfully to spatial disaster mitigation planning, particularly for volcanic-prone regions. The outcomes are expected to serve as practical references for local governments, disaster management agencies, and communities in designing responsive and safe evacuation infrastructure to enhance preparedness and reduce risk in future volcanic emergencies.

Abstract

DKI Jakarta is one of the regions on the island of Java and is the National Capital which is the regional center and is included as a Megapolitan area. As a megapolitan area with a population of more than 10 million people, the mobility of its citizens is also increasing. High mobility has an impact on the emergence of new problems for life. The availability of MRT transportation facilities in Jakarta aims to provide a platform for creating a city environment that is oriented towards humans as its users by emphasizing benefits in aspects of functional quality, visual quality and environmental quality. This Research is using Method is quantitative method. Quantitative Method is a Procedure of the research is producing descriptive data through writen words from people or behaviour can be observed with deductive approach. Collecting Data Method is done by Reference way. Reference way is a description about the relevant literature with the certain topic in which found in scientific books or article of journal. The Fatmawati MRT area is one of the transit areas targeted for development for the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area for the reason that access to this area is quite easy when there is heavy traffic on weekdays, especially when employees leave work.

Abstract

Various tourism development problems that arise cannot be separated from physical geography factors so that it becomes important to plan regions and cities by taking this into account in order to prepare for the future of life on earth. Survival does not only depend on the availability of water and food, but also depends on factors that can reduce the carrying capacity of land such as pollution and environmental damage. The main objective of this research is to plan tourism through reviewing aspects of physical geography plus human influence on the natural environment. The evaluations carried out included physical conditions, physical potential and inhibiting and supporting factors. This research took the location of case studies in two different regions, namely in Bandung City, West Java and Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung. The method used in this research is literature review from various sources of information and data. The results obtained from the studies that have been carried out are that the two case study locations have differences that are not too big but on the contrary, they have many similarities, especially in terms of regional potential so that the conclusion that can be drawn is that the two areas are feasible to be developed into tourism objects or areas that have potential. to attract tourists to come visit.
