Abstract

This study analyzed planned innovation to improve the quality of Islamic education management at SMA MTA Surakarta boarding school. It was conducted using a qualitative approach and a case study method to explore and understand information from taking steps to improve strategies of quality education management. The information was analyzed by (a) processing and preparing information for analysis; (b) reading all the data; (c) describing the setting (domain), people (participants), and categories; (d) presenting descriptions in qualitative narratives/reports; and (e) making interpretations. This study showed that 1) to increase teachers’ competency. 2) educational innovations at SMA MTA Surakarta include: a) strengthening boarding school governance b) Strengthening the character of the school community c) Innovation in education management, d) Innovation in increasing the competence of teachers and schools e) Innovation in facilities and infrastructure f) Innovation in developing students’ soft skills to provide students with provisions so they can adapt to the demands of developments in science and technology. The forms of activity are very varied. As an Islamic Educational Institution, it should implement strategic management that is systematic, consistent, programmed, comprehensive, and sustainable.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the implementation and associated challenges of character education in Al-Mukmin Islamic Boarding School, with a specific focus on its integration into the curriculum. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative methodology, the research involved a thorough examination of educational practices, guided by data collected through document analysis, observations, and semi-structured interviews with teachers and students. The data analysis, conducted through thematic analysis, shed light on how character education is structured and the myriad challenges that emerge in its execution. Key findings reveal that while Al-Mukmin Islamic Boarding School adopts a comprehensive approach to character education, encompassing learning, habituation, and practice, it concurrently grapples with significant hurdles. These include the scarcity of qualified educators proficient in both academic and moral teachings, the need to balance academic rigor with moral values, cultural influences affecting educational practices, and the complexities of engaging students and assessing moral development effectively. These insights not only highlight the intricacies of embedding character education in Islamic boarding schools but also underscore the necessity for tailored strategies to surmount these challenges, thereby contributing valuable perspectives to the field of educational research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyse how the judge's consideration in the decision of the East Tanjung Jabung District Court Number: 83/Pid.Sus/2022/PN.Tjt and how the judge's decision in the decision of the East Tanjung Jabung District Court Number: 83/Pid.Sus/2022/PN.Tjt. The research method is normative juridical. The results of his research are that the legal considerations made by a judge are also one of the duties and obligations of a judge, namely the obligation to explore, follow, and understand the legal values and sense of justice that live in society. This becomes material that is processed to make legal considerations. It is also implied that a judge in carrying out his duties can carry out legal discovery or rechtvinding. And the Decision of the Judge of the East Tanjung Jabung District Court Number: 83/Pid.Sus/2022/PN.Tjt is the result of something that has been carefully considered and assessed beforehand by a judge in written or oral form. A judge's decision is a decision made by a judge after a criminal procedure procedure that contains a verdict of punishment or acquittal or release from all legal charges made in written form with the aim of resolving the case.

Abstract

MI Al-Iman, as a known Islamic private madrasah in Magelang City, must have a strategy to increase the characteristics and quality of the madrasah. The method used to form strategies by looking at internal and external aspects is by analyzing the Kekepan (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) that exist in the madrasah. The first stage of Kekepan analysis, by calculating the IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation) matrix and the EFE (External Factor Evaluation) matrix, obtained results of 2.73 and 3.34, respectively. In the IE (Internal and External) table, the position of MI Al-Iman is in cell I, namely growth, which means that the strategy is focused on improving service services in the field of Tahfizul Qur'an and increasing competitive access. Based on the results of the Analytical IFA and EFA methods and the Kekepan matrix, it was found that the best alternative is the SO (Strength Opportunity) strategy, which is a strategy that utilizes all strengths to make the most of the opportunity. The SO strategy formed is to increase cooperation with madrasas or Islamic boarding schools in the field of tahfiz Al-Quran and introduce special programs for tahfiz classes to the wider community through brochures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi nilai-nilai Moderasi beragama dalam penanaman pendidikan karakter siswa di RA Nawa Kartika Ngarengan Kabupaten Ngawi. Peran pembelajaran tentang nilai-nilai moderasi beragama terhadap pendidikan karakter siswa sangat pentig diterapkan sejak dini karena menjadi dasar dan pedoman kehidupan supaya menjadi generasi penerus bangsa yang berkualitas serta mampu berkontribusi dalam pembangunan Nasional. Implementasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama terhadap Pendidikan Karakter siswa adalah merupakan sarana dan media dalam pemahaman dalam sikap toleransi serta cinta tanah air. Studi ini mendeskripsikan tentang implementasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama di RA Nawa Kartika Ngarengan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Bahwa Implementasi nilai moderasi beragama sebagai dasar pendidikan karakter siswa RA Nawa Kartika Ngarengan dilaksanakan dengan metode pembiasaan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran. Metode pembiasaan dilakukan dengan cara mebiasakan pada siswa untuk mengucap salam saat masuk dan keluar kelas, berdoa sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan, mencuci tangan sebelum makan dam membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Sedangkan media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah berupa banner bergambar yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai moderasi yang penggunaanya seperti bermain ular tangga. Implementasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam menanam pendidikan karakter memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam pencegahan sikap bullying antar teman sebaya. Penerapan pembiasaan dan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan inovatif menjadikan pemahaman tentang konsep moderasi beragama dapat menjadi landasan dalam membangun dan menanamkan pendidikan karakter siswa. Akan tetapi, masih diperlukan Pembinaan dan pelatihan untuk guru dalam penguasaan materi dan media inovatif untuk mengatasi tantangan dalam implementasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama, serta komitmen bersama, kolaboratif dengan pihak orang tua untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang menghargai hak tanpa adanya perbedaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran Pendidikan Islam terhadap kuasa otoritas kekerasan seksual yang terjadi di lingkungan pesantren, dengan fokus pada relasi kuasa yang timpang antara kyai dan santri perempuan. Studi ini menganalisis kontribusi Pendidikan Islam terhadap hierarki kekuasaan di pesantren yang menyebabkan terjadinya kekerasan seksual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi fisik pondok pesantren sebagian besar kamar santri putri, tidak memiliki jendela yang cukup dan pintu tidak dilengkapi kunci. Kondisi kamar mandi putri pun terbuka dan kurang memadai, sehingga privasi santri kurang terjaga. Setidaknya 15 santri putri telah menjadi korban kekerasan seksual yang dilakukan oleh kyainya. Faktor penyebab yang berpotensi terjadinya kekerasan seksual adanya budaya patriarki masih menjadi fenomena yang menonjol, menempatkan perempuan dalam posisi subordinasi dan rentan. Pada praktik budaya patriarki memperkuat ketidaksetaraan gender, menormalisasi dominasi laki-laki, dan melegitimasi eksploitasi terhadap perempuan. Budaya patriarki kemudian menguatkan relasi kuasa untuk menempatkan pada posisi yang tinggi dan dihormati. Pada situasi dan kondisi inilah santri perempuan menjadi tidak berdaya, bahkan ketika peristiwa itu berlangsung. Dalam lingkungan pesantren dan masyarakat sekitar, kekerasan seksual masih dianggap sebagai isu yang tabu dan memalukan. Hal ini berdampak pada minimnya pelaporan kasus kekerasan seksual yang terjadi di pesantren. Dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, akhlak merupakan fondasi utama yang seharusnya diterapkan di pesantren, mencakup: Prinsip Akhlak dan Etika dalam Pendidikan Islam, Implementasi Maqashid Syariah, Penguatan Sistem Pengawasan Berbasis Nilai Islam. Dari sinilah Pendidikan islam, harus terus di tegakkan dengan sungguh-sungguh meskipun di Pondok Pesantren.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of implementing the principles of restorative justice for children who are perpetrators of criminal acts by the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Jambi Regional Police. It also examines the challenges encountered by investigators and the strategies employed to overcome those obstacles during the investigation process. Using an empirical juridical approach, the study finds that restorative justice is particularly effective in handling minor criminal offenses such as light assault, threats, and group violence. The effectiveness is reflected in three main aspects: informal resolution of cases, active participation of perpetrators, victims, and the community, and prevention of reoffending behavior through reconciliation. Internal obstacles include limited understanding of diversion procedures among investigators and the lack of child-friendly facilities. Externally, prevailing punitive public attitudes and distrust toward non-litigation resolutions hinder the process. To address these issues, investigators distinguish between diversion and restorative justice, enhance internal capabilities through training, and collaborate with external institutions while engaging in public outreach

Abstract

Management of Guidance and Counseling Services at Inclusive High School Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Batangan Pati. Inclusive High School Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Batangan Pati is the only madrasa in Batangan sub-district that implements an inclusive education model, the inclusive classroom model is the implementation of teaching and learning activities that accommodate the needs of regular students and students with special needs. From the above background, this study aims to find out: 1) to find out how the implementation of Guidance and Counseling Service Management in Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Inclusive Madrasah Aliyah Batang Pati, 2) to find out what the supporting and inhibiting factors are Guidance and Counseling Service Management in Inclusive Madrasah Aliyah Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Batang Pati. This research is a field research using a qualitative approach, the data collection was obtained using field observation techniques on the management of guidance and counseling services, interviews with the head of madrasah, counseling guidance teachers, special assistant teachers, student representatives, curriculum representatives, public relations officers, madrasah security, subject teachers, students, parents and madrasa alumni. In addition to the primary data, the researchers also used secondary data including student documentation, documentation of guidance and counseling services, and photos of activities, all data were analyzed using data reduction, the main things related to the management of guidance and counseling services, approach models and methods. used in the management of guidance and counseling services, then verification as a conclusion from the analysis. The results showed that: (1) Guidance and Counseling Service Management includes planning, daily service planning, monthly service planning, semester service planning and annual service planning and individual guidance and group guidance planning, organizing includes, the existence of an organizational structure for guidance and counseling services, and division of tasks for guidance and counseling services, actuating includes preventive actions, curative and repressive actions, and evaluations which include monthly evaluations, semester evaluations, annual evaluations and supervision, (2) supporting factors, namely the active role of the foundation, the leadership of the madrasah principal, action fast response counseling guidance teacher. Harmony in the relationship between homeroom teachers and students and communication between counselors and related stakeholders, while the inhibiting factors are the corona virus pandemic, lack of parental response, limited facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

MI Luthful Ulum's Transformational Leadership Management in Achieving Excellent Madrasa in Pati Regency. MI Luthful Ulum's Transformational Leadership Management in Achieving Superior Madrasas in Pati Regency is as follows: 1) the principal's transformational leadership can be interpreted as the form or style applied by the principal in influencing his subordinates (teachers, administrative staff, and all employees) to achieve performance and desired educational goals. 2) The main principle of transformational leaders is that they have high competence and vision to realize success, leaders can inspire subordinates to respond with great enthusiasm and commitment to achieving goals. 3) Transformational leadership will have a positive influence on the relationship between superiors and subordinates in Islamic education. With the concept of transformational leadership, subordinates will feel trust, admiration, pride, loyalty and respect for their superiors and will be motivated to do work with results that exceed the targets that have been determined together.  These positive changes such as setting an example, such as leaders showing professional behavior in the teaching and learning process, honesty, discipline (on time), ability to collaborate and relationships between students and teachers will influence teachers at Islamic Education Institutions. 4) Implementation of MI Luthful Ulum's transformational leadership management in achieving superior madrasas in the District. Pati in the picture above there are 4 descriptions of transformational leadership, such as leaders who pay attention to the needs of subordinates, leaders who raise issues of need to a higher level, leaders who listen to subordinates' problems at work, and leaders who build subordinates' self-confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of alumni in the mentorship program to support the international achievements of MTs Abadiyah Pati students. Specifically, exploring the dynamics of alumni involvement in assisting madrasah students to compete at the global level, as well as identifying key factors that influence the effectiveness of the mentorship program in the context of Islamic education. The method used is a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and analysis of program documents during the period 2018-2023. The study involved 12 key informants consisting of alumni mentors, international high-achieving students, and mentorship program managers. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns of alumni roles and their impacts. The results of the study revealed that alumni play three main roles in the mentorship program: (1) inspiring role models who break stereotypes about the limitations of madrasa graduates, (2) academic mentors who facilitate the transfer of knowledge and competition strategies, (3) a central role as international network facilitators who open access to global resources, psychological-emotional supporters who understand the specific pressures and challenges of madrasa students. These findings indicate that the alumni mentorship program plays a significant role in improving student achievement in international competitions in science, technology, and arts and culture. Further research recommendations require a study of the impact of the mentorship program on academic and professional journeys to expand the reach and positive impact of alumni on madrasa students throughout Indonesia.
