Abstract

Bungur  (Lagerstroemia loudonii T. B) is a type of plant widely grown in Indonesia and can be found in teak forests, mixed forests, and is found as ornamental plants or protective trees on the roadside. In the fruit section, Lagerstroemia loudonii is used as antituberculous and antimalarial. On the bark, the part is used as antidiarrheal. Based on some parts of the Lagerstroemia loudonii  plants' activity data, this plant has the potential to be developed into traditional medicine. Standardized traditional medicine material is necessary to identify efficacious compounds and characterization in some parts of Lagerstroemia loudonii. The purpose of this research is to develop Lagerstroemia loudonii into traditional herbal medicine or standardized herbal medicine. Identification of efficacious compounds and characterization of crude leaf drugs, bark, stems, and fruit of Lagerstroemia loudonii. The phytochemical screening phase of the crude drugs of leaves, bark, stems, and fruit ofLagerstroemia loudonii against includes examining alkaloids, flavonoids,  quinones, tannins, polyphenols, saponins, steroids and triterpenes, monoterpenoids and sesquiterpenoids. The determination of the characteristics of raw material carried out includes nonspecific parameters. Nonspecific parameters are the determination of total ash content, water-soluble ash content, acid insoluble ash content. each experiment was carried out three times and calculated the average yield and deviation.  Identification results of the class of efficacious compounds in some parts of the Lagerstroemia loudonii  plant are on the leaves and fruits containing alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, quinones, tannins, polyphenols, monoterpenoids, and sesquiterpenoids as well as steroids and triterpenoids. At the bark and stem, the bark contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, quinones, tannins, polyphenols, monoterpenoids, and sesquiterpenoids. Characterization results of Lagerstroemia loudonii  leaf extract total ash content 4.45 ± 0.30% w/w, water-soluble ash content 4.08 ± 0.27% w/w, acid insoluble ash content 0.59 ± 0.06% w/w, the extract specific gravity was 0.59 ± 0.063. Lagerstroemia loudonii  stem bark extract, total ash content 1.94 ± 0.12% w/w, water-soluble ash content 1.47 ± 0.03% w/w, acid insoluble ash content 0.24 ± 0.02% w/w, the extract specific gravity is 0.82 ± 0.01. Lagerstroemia loudonii  stem extract, total ash content3.18 ± 0.16% w/w, water-soluble ash content 2.36 ± 0.38% w/w, acid insoluble ash content 0.43 ± 0.07% w/w, extract specific grafity 0.81 ± 0.01. Lagerstroemia loudonii  fruit extract, total ash content 11.45 ± 1.16%w/w, water-soluble ash content 10.1 ± 1.49% w/w, acid insoluble ash content 1.46 ± 0.88% w/w,extract specific grafity 0.81 ± 0.01. Abstract

ABSTRAK Pohon kemiri Aleurites moluccana (L.) Willd.,  adalah tanaman asli Indonesia multiguna, tumbuh menyebar hingga 10-15 meter pada area terbuka di dataran Indonesia Malaysia dan kepulauan Pasifik. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan tanaman kemiri mengandung tanin, saponin, flavonoida dan polifenol.  Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi anti kanker melalui pengujian toksisitas ekstrak etanol kulit batang kemiri Aleurites moluccana (L.) Willd. dengan metode BSLT menggunakan hewan uji larva udang Artemia salina. Pengukuran toksisitas dinyatakan dengan nilai LC50. Pembuatan ekstrak dilakukan dengan teknik maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol. Hasil pengujian toksisitas ditunjukkan dengan nilai LC50 dari ekstrak etanol, fraksi etil asetat, fraksi n-heksana, dan fraksi air.  Nilai toksisitas yang paling kuat hingga paling lemah adalah fraksi etil asetat, fraksi n-heksan, ekstrak etanol, fraksi air secara berturut-turut adalah 17,10 ppm; 35,74 ppm; 39,29 ppm; dan 378,532 ppm. Intensitas nilai LC50  hasil pengujian BSLT dari fraksi etil asetat, fraksi n-heksan, ekstrak etanol dan fraksi air berturut-turut adalah sangat toksik, sangat toksik, sangat toksik, dan toksik. Hasil Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT) menggunakan penampak bercak spesifik menunjukkan dugaan golongan flavonoid pada ekstrak etanol dan fraksi etil asetat pada kulit batang kemiri. Kata kunci   :  BSLT, kulit batang kemiri, Aleurites moluccana (L.) Willd., flavonoid. ABSTRACT Aleurites moluccana (L.) Willd., also known as candlenut, is a native to Indonesia great domesticated multipurpose trees, typically grows to 10-15 m in open areas,  It is native to the Indo-Malaysia region and was introduced throughout the Pacific Island. Previous studies have demonstrated that the leaves and stem bark of Aleurites moluccana (L.) Willd. presents  tannins, saponin, flavonoid, and polyphenols. The aim of this research was to determine the toxicity value using BSLT method as screening for new potential cytotoxic drug. This research was started with maceration technique using ethanol solvent. The research was started with maceration method using ethanol solvent. Determination of toxicity value of Aleurites molucana (L.) Willd. stem bark were examined using BSLT method. The toxicity value for extract and each fractions was reported as medial lethal concentration (LC50) value, expressed in ppm. The LC50 value using BSLT method of ethyl acetate fraction, n-hexane fraction, ethanol extract, water fraction were 17,10 ppm; 35,74 ppm; 39,39 ppm; 380,93 ppm respectively. While intensity of LC50 value for toxicity value of ethyl acetate fraction, n-hexane fraction, ethanol extract, water fraction were very toxic, very toxic, very toxic, and toxic. Chromatogram pattern were observed by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) with specific spray agent, detected the flavonoid in ethanol extract and ethyl acetate fraction from stem bark of Aleurites moluccana (L.) Abstract

AbstrakPerairan Indonesia merupakan habitat bagi berbagai spesies makro dan mikro alga. Selada laut (Ulva lactuca) adalah salah satu makroalga hijau yang secara empiris digunakan sebagai makanan oleh masyarakat Indonesia yang hidup dipesisir pantai. Pada perairan tawar, ganggang hijau (Spirogyra porticalis) merupakan mikroalga filamen yang berperan penting sebagai bioindikator dalam sistem akuatik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil fitokimia dari selada laut dan ganggang hijau yang tumbuh di perairan Indonesia. Hasil pengujian kualitatif pada selada laut (Ulva lactuca)  menunjukkan kandungan metabolit primer  dan sekunder berturut-turut adalah karbohidrat, alkaloid, flavonoid, mono dan seskuiterpenoid. Sementara itu ganggang hijau (Spirogyra porticalis) mengandung karbohidrat, protein, alkaloid, flavonoid, fenolik, tannin, kuinon, mono dan seskuiterpenoid. Pola kromatogram selada laut (Ulva lactuca) dan  ganggang hijau (Spirogyra porticalis) mendeteksi aktivitas antioksidan yang dimiliki oleh senyawa- metabolit sekunder  seperti fenol, tannin, flavonoid, mono dan seskuiterpenoid yang memiliki variasi kepolaran dari semi hingga polar. Hasil uji pendahuluan aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode dinamolisis menunjukkan selada laut (Ulva lactuca) dan  ganggang hijau (Spirogyra porticalis) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai obat, suplemen, eksipien farmasi dan makanan nutrisi. Kata kunci: selada laut (Ulva lactuca), ganggang hijau (Spyrogyra porticalis), antioksidan, bahari, Indonesia. AbstractIndonesian waters are habitat for various macro and micro algae species. Sea lettuce Ulva lactuca is one of the green macroalgae that is empirically used as food by Indonesian people. In freshwater, green algae Spirogyra porticalis is filament microalgae that play an important role as bioindicators in the aquatic system. The aim of this research was to profiling the chemical constituent from native Indonesian sources, Ulva lactuca  and Spirogyra porticalis. The results of  Ulva lactuca  qualitative analysis showed the content of primary and secondary metabolites are carbohydrates, alkaloids, flavonoids, mono, and sesquiterpenoids, respectively. On the other hand, green algae Spirogyra porticalis carbohydrates, proteins, alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, quinones, mono, and sesquiterpenoids, respectively. The chromatogram pattern of sea lettuce Ulva lactuca and  Spirogyra porticalis showed the antioxidant activity caused by secondary metabolites such as phenol, tannin, flavonoids, mono and sesquiterpenoids which were various polarity. Preliminary test results of antioxidant activity with the dinamolysis method showed sea lettuce Ulva lactuca  and and green algae Spirogyra porticalis have antioxidant activity. Abstract

Paguyuban Jamu Manunggal Cimahi is located at Gang M. Ardjo No.224. Based on the initial survey, the problem was identified that knowledge about the benefits of traditional medicinal plants was still limited. In addition, the sales of products are still ineffective because the marketing is still carried out conventionally. This underlies the need for counseling on the benefits of traditional medicinal plants and website management at Paguyuban Jamu Manunggal which aims to increase the knowledge of the participants and to expand the target market. The counseling activity was carried out on October 08, 2023 which began with a pre-test, presentation, post-test, and workshop. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the counseling activities can significantly increase the knowledge of the participants, this is indicated by the average value of the pre-test and post-test which was originally 60 to 95.3.

Abstract

Background: Jarak tintir (Jatropha multifida L.) was identified as one of family Euphorbiaceae and used by Indonesian people as traditional medicine. This study aimed to measure IC50 of inhibition DPPH as free radicals and make statistical analysis of flavonoid and phenolic content and correlation with their IC50 of free radicals. Methods: Hot continuous extraction was done with Soxhlet apparatus using various polarity solvents (n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol). Results: Methanol extract had the lowest IC50 32.26 ± 0.37 µg/mL of DPPH inhibition activity. Ethyl acetate extract had highest phenolic and highest flavonoid content with 35.21 ± 1.50 mg TAE/g extract and 49.41 ± 1.65 mg QE/g extract. Conclusion: Flavonoid and phenolic content in extracts had linier correlation with their IC50 of inhibition free radicals.

Abstract

Abstrak: Situasi pandemik COVID-19 di Indonesia mempengaruhi beberapa sektor penting, diantaranya adalah sektor kesehatan. Farmasi sebagai salah satu garda penting di bidang kesehatan mempunyai tugas fungsi pokok untuk menyediakan obat yang aman, berkhasiat dan berkualitas. Industri farmasi merupakan bagian terdepan yang memiliki peranan penting tersebut sekaligus merupakan bagian terdepan yang terkena dampak dari situasi pandemik COVID-19. Tekanan untuk penemuan vaksin/obat baru sebagai antivirus COVID19 hingga produksi vitamin dan produk nutrisi lain sebagai upaya preventif untuk melindungi masyarakat Indonesia dari peningkatan penularan virus COVID-19 di Indonesia menghadapi berbagai kendala. Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB), kegiatan karantina serta isolasi merupakan salah satu kendala di dalam bidang produksi. Disisi lain, permintaan akan produk obat meningkat tajam. Apoteker industri dan apoteker komunitas bekerja sama untuk memastikan ketersediaan dan efek terapi obat dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Tujuan dilaksanakannya webinar ini adalah untuk mengubah paradigma permasalahan menjadi suatu tantangan yang harus diselesaikan oleh sejawat apoteker di seluruh Indonesia. Metode webinar dilaksanakan melalui penyampaian materi dan diskusi panel dari platform ZOOM dan youtube. Hasil post test yang dilaksanakan terhadap 1.700 peserta secara garis besar menunjukkan pemahaman dan kepedulian masyarakat dalam mengatasi berbagai permasalahan di bidang farmasi industry Indonesia. Abstract

Banyak pelaku usaha jamu di Indonesia menghadapi kendala dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk akibat keterbatasan keterampilan teknis dan pengetahuan pengolahan tanaman obat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan komunitas usaha jamu di Kota Cimahi melalui pelatihan pembuatan serbuk instan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan, praktik langsung, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test yang diikuti oleh 37 peserta. Analisis data dilakukan dengan membandingkan rata-rata skor pre-test dan post-test, disertai dokumentasi lapangan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor dari 6,05 menjadi 6,41 atau sebesar 5,8%. Peserta juga berhasil menghasilkan produk serbuk instan berbahan jahe, kunyit, dan beras kencur, yang sebagian telah memperoleh izin edar sederhana berupa SPP-IRT. Selain itu, pelatihan berdampak pada peningkatan kapasitas produksi mitra serta kepercayaan diri peserta dalam memasarkan produk. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini dapat dipandang sebagai model intervensi awal yang efektif untuk memperkuat daya saing UMKM jamu lokal, yang keberlanjutannya memerlukan dukungan pendampingan dan strategi pemasaran modern.
