Abstract

Tujuan dari Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini ialah 1) memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang imlpementasi kurikulum merdeka di SMK, 2) Edu parenting dalam penguatan karakter profil pelajar Pancasila. Kegiatan PKM melibatkan dua Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri di kabupaten Kapuas Hulu antara lain SMKN 1 Seberuang dan SMKN 1 Hulu Gurung. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) dalam bentuk workshop, dengan langkah-langkah: (1) Persiapan, dengan melakukan wawancara dan need asesmen di daerah yang akan dituju, (2) Kegiatan, dengan memberikan materi dengan bentuk slide power point, (3) Tanya jawab dan diskusi pengayaan modul para guru. Hasil kegiatan (1) seluruh peserta mampu memahami materi yang diberikan dalam kegiatan workshop, (2) Seluruh peserta antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan, terlihat dari banyaknya peserta (seluruh guru matapelajaran), (3) guru dapat membuat beberapa kesimpulan dalam kegiatan workshop ini.

Abstract

This study aims to describe what factors influence the quality of the Guidance and Counseling program at the junior high school (SMP) level in Pontianak city. This study uses qualitative research methods with interview techniques as the primary tool. In addition to that, observation is carried out as a research support tool. The selection of the sample in the study used purposeful sampling. In this case, the participants in the study were School counselors who are members of the School Counselor Deliberations (MGBK) for junior high schools in Pontianak City and already have educator certificates as professional School Counselors. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The study's results concluded that two factors influenced the quality of the Guidance and Counseling program at the Pontianak City Junior High School (SMP) level. The first was internal factors, including; educational background, work experience, work motivation, and competence in managing the Guidance and Counseling program. While the second is external factors, namely leadership support, facilities and infrastructure, and cooperation with other parties.

Abstract

Mental health among adolescents is a growing concern, particularly in culturally diverse regions. This study investigates the mental health status of multiethnic adolescents at State Senior High School 1 Sungai Kakap, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, focusing on six major ethnic groups: Malay, Dayak, Chinese, Bugis, Madurese, and Javanese. A quantitative, descriptive research design was employed. Data were collected through a mental health assessment and analyzed using percentage calculations. Each participant’s score was categorized, and the proportion of individuals in each category was computed by dividing the frequency (ni) by the total number of participants (n), then multiplied by 100. Findings indicate that, overall, the mental health of multiethnic adolescents falls within the "high" category. However, some variations emerged across ethnic groups, with certain students—particularly at State Senior High School 1 Sungai Kakap—showing lower mental health scores. Among the four dimensions assessed—physical, psychological, moral-religious, and social—the psychological aspect scored the lowest, suggesting it is the most vulnerable area. The lower scores in psychological well-being highlight a pressing need for targeted interventions. Cultural diversity may contribute to unique stressors that affect adolescents' psychological health more than other domains. This study underscores the importance of enhancing adolescent mental health, particularly the psychological dimension, in multiethnic contexts. School-based guidance and counseling programs, alongside strong family and community support, are recommended to foster better mental health outcomes.

The methods used were socialization, workshops, and classroom simulations of basic GC services. The results showed an increase in teachers’ understanding of the role and benefits of GC, with an average perception score between 3.92–4.00. Teachers agreed that GC is essential to support students’ social-emotional development. Abstract

Mental health is a crucial aspect for adolescents, as those with poor mental health may experience conditions ranging from depression and anxiety disorders to suicidal tendencies. Identifying mental health issues is essential, necessitating an instrument to assess adolescent mental health. This study aims to adapt the Arabic Scale of Mental Health (ASMH) into Indonesian and evaluate its validity using the Rasch model. The adaptation process followed the Procedures and Guidelines for Translating Counselling Assessment as outlined by Lenz, Gómez Soler, Dell'Aquilla, and Uribe. The translated instrument was administered to 685 high school and vocational school students from Yogyakarta. The instrument was then analyzed using the Rasch model to determine its suitability for use. Results indicate that the adapted instrument is deemed appropriate for use based on statistical analysis using the Rasch model.

Abstract

Adolescents often face academic challenges that require strong self-confidence or self-efficacy; however, many students exhibit low levels of learning self-efficacy. Self-efficacy plays a crucial role in determining students' motivation, perseverance, and academic achievement. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group guidance using problem-solving techniques in improving the learning self-efficacy of junior high school students. The research employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 10 students with low self-efficacy, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a self-efficacy questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed an increase in the average score from 95.50 (pretest) to 111.80 (posttest), with a t-value of -12.899 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that group guidance using problem-solving techniques is effective in enhancing students’ confidence in dealing with academic challenges. Further research is needed to explore its long-term impact and effectiveness across different educational levels and cultural contexts.
