Abstract

This research aims to examine the structure of the legend of Goa Putri and Si Pahit Lidah in the Padang Bindu area, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method combined with Levi-Strauss's Structuralism theory. Data mining techniques were carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that there are four episodes of the Legend of Goa Putri and Si Pahit Lidah, namely (1) the initial episode and the origins of Putri Dayang Merindu, (2) episodes of the characters' lives and daily lives, (3) problem episodes, and (4) final episodes. There are four myths in the Legend of Goa Putri and Si Pahit Lidah, namely (1) the myth of the tiger guarding Goa Putri, the friend of Princess Dayang Merindu, (2) the myth of Sumuhun water which can make you stay young, (3) the myth of Si Pahit Lidah's curse on Princess Dayang Merindu, and (4) the myth of the curse of the Si Pahit Lidah for the village area. There are three forms of binary opposition relations, namely relations of differences in status between characters, relations of place, and relations of differences in time. The values contained are (1) friendship can be made with anyone, (2) an invitation to love the environment, especially water, maintaining the sustainability, cleanliness and clarity of water as a source of life for humans and other living creatures, and (3) teaching humans to be able to hold back anger or be patient and be kind to anyone. Abstract

The multicultural approach in Indonesian language learning plays a strategic role in strengthening cultural diversity amid the challenges of globalization and digitalization. This article aims to analyze the relevance and implementation of a multicultural approach in the context of Indonesia's diverse education system, with a focus on Indonesian language learning as a unifying tool for the nation. The research method used is a literature review, examining various theoretical and empirical sources related to multicultural education. The results indicate that the multicultural approach not only teaches language skills but also instills values of tolerance, inclusivity, and appreciation for cultural diversity. Its implementation includes integrating regional literary works, using diverse media, and employing collaborative and interactive learning methods. This approach also encourages critical reflection on social injustices and strengthens national identity. The conclusion of this article emphasizes that the multicultural approach in Indonesian language learning is an effective solution for fostering a tolerant, creative generation ready to face global dynamics while preserving national unity within the framework of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.

Abstract

Mantra is a part of oral literature that is still commonly found in the lives of Indonesian people. The Tetulungan Mantra is one of the Javanese mantras that is still sustainable in the life of the people of the village of Cahaya Mas. This research was conducted to describe the structure and meaning of the Tetulungan mantra in the life of the Javanese people of Cahaya Mas village, Mesuji Makmur district. This research is a type of field research conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The research data is in the form of quotations of words or sentences contained in the Tetulungan mantra. Mantras are obtained through an interview process conducted with elders who master the Tetulungan spell. After all the data is sufficient, then the analysis process is carried out using interactive techniques. The results of the research show that the Javanese mantra has the main function of rejecting various logs, calamities, calamities, and all the suffering that can come in human life. The spell has a unique structure compared to the structure of spells in general. Successively, the structure of the Tetulungan mantra includes opening, aim, suggestion, and closing elements. The mantra begins with the remembrance of Allah and ends with complete submission to Allah, the one who has power over all things. It also shows that the Tetulungan spell can only be recited by people who believe in Islam as their religion. In addition, the Tetulungan mantra also contains a very deep meaning regarding belief in God's power, submission to God, and the human perspective on God's creation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis novel Pancarona karya Erisca Febriani dengan menggunakan pendekatan strukturalisme genetik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teknik dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa novel Pancarona karya Erisca Febriani. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan ialah teknik analisis dokumen berupa novel Pancarona. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat unsur intrinsik berupa tema, sudut pandang, alur, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, gaya bahasa, serta amanat. Terdapat pula unsur struktural genetik berupa fakta kemanusiaan yaitu fakta individu yang berupa fakta dibalik sifat tangguh dan ceria Rima, ia memiliki sifat cemas dan penakut. Terdapat pula fakta sosial yaitu masyarakat lampung percaya bahwa setiap orang harus memiliki anak laki-laki untuk menjadi pengganti ayahnya. Adanya fakta sosial tersebut menyebabkan terjadinya perselingkuhan. Adapun subjek kolektif yaitu mengenai kehidupan sosial kelas menengah, yang mana terdapat larangan bagi wanita untuk bekerja. Terdapat juga pandangan dunia pengarang pada novel yaitu menentang perlakuan semena-mena kepada seorang perempuan, menentang keras perselingkuhan dan setiap orang harus berdamai dengan luka.

Abstract

Novels as literary works always present various realities in society. One of the realities presented is the existence of quite complex gender relations and routines. This research aims to describe the representation of women in the novel Masyitoh by Ajip Rosidi. This study uses the theory of women's image which focuses on four aspects, namely physical aspects, psychological aspects, aspects in the family environment, and aspects in the community environment. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. Research data in the form of sentence quotations was collected using reading and note-taking techniques. Once collected, the data was processed and analyzed using interactive techniques. The research results show that the image of women in Masyitoh's novel is very complex and diverse. Judging from the physical aspect, women are imaged as beautiful and graceful. Viewed from a psychological aspect, the female antagonist is depicted as a rude figure, while the female protagonist is depicted as a woman who is worried, determined, brave and patient. Viewed from the family aspect, women are imaged as responsible, caring and loving, loyal and open figures. Meanwhile, if viewed from the perspective of their relationship with society, women are portrayed as humanist, humble and powerful.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa pada jenjang SMP. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami teks bacaan, meliputi mengidentifikasi gagasan utama, menarik kesimpulan, dan menghubungkan isi teks dengan pengalaman pribadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen menggunakan nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan model STAD dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata skor post-test kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan setelah penerapan model STAD. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model STAD efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aktif, kolaboratif, dan memotivasi siswa untuk memahami teks lebih dalam. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat menjadi strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa. Model ini mendorong partisipasi siswa yang lebih besar dan menumbuhkan tanggung jawab belajar baik secara individu maupun kelompok, sehingga sangat cocok untuk pengajaran bahasa Indonesia maupun mata pelajaran lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa model kurikulum Tadris Bahasa Indonesia berbasis analisis kebutuhan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan yang mengadopsi pengembangan Borg dan Gall dengan implementasinya hanya pada tiga tahap pengembangan saja, yaitu tahap analisis kebutuhan, tahap analisis dokumen yang ada, dan tahap pengembangan produk. Sementara untuk tahap pengembangan produk kurikulum mengadopsi model Richard dengan empat tahap pengembangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa terhadap kurikulum Tadris Bahasa Indonesia menyangkut ilmu kebahasaan, kesastraan, pendidikan dan pengajaran, metodologi penelitian, pengembangan literasi, teknologi dan komunikasi, serta ilmu moderasi beragama. Analisis kebutuhan dosen terhadap kurikulum Tadris Bahasa Indonesia meliputi relevansi antara tujuan kurikulum dengan visi misi Prodi Tadris Bahasa Indonesia dan  pola sebaran mata kuliah. Adapun  analisis kebutuhan pengguna lulusan terhadap kurikulum Tadris Bahasa Indonesia menyangkut penekanan pada aspek kompetensi kepribadian pemahaman kode etik profesi guru hingga evaluasi pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, pada tahap analisis situasi memuat pembelajaran abad 21, pendidikan Islam berbasis moderasi beragama, dan kurikulum merdeka belajar. Hasil analisis dokumen Kurikulum Tadris Bahasa Indonesia meliputi beberapa problematika terkait mata kuliah yang masih tumpang tindih, tidak mendukung perkembangan teknologi, tidak sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman, dan tidak mendukung kompetensi keilmuan, dan beberapa mata kuliah yang dapat dipadukan. Rancangan draft kurikulum Tadris Bahasa Indonesia berbasis analisis kebutuhan ini dilakukan melalui empat tahapan, yaitu tahap analisis kebutuhan, tahap analisis situasi, tahap capaian pembelajaran lulusan, dan tahap organisasi materi.

Abstract

This study investigates the morphophonological process in Indonesian, with particular focus on the polymorphemic construction {kә-base morpheme-an}. The research adopts an inductive approach, supported by acoustic data analysis, to identify shifts and sound changes during word decomposition. The findings reveal the vowel alternations, in which [i] and [u] in the penultimate syllable nucleus are realized allophonically as [I] and [U] in the final syllable nucleus of the stem. Consonant changes are also observed, such as the phoneme /k/ in the coda of a final syllable shifting to /ʔ/ in the coda of the base morpheme, as well as the change from /x/ to /h/. These shifts and alternations can be categorized as substantial substitutions, motivated by morphological factors. The study demonstrates that an inductive approach to morphophonological processes enriches linguistic inquiry and offers pedagogical implications, offering new perspectives on the interaction between phonology and morphology.

Abstract

Research on oppression against women in novels is motivated by the complex representation of injustice and oppression against women in literary works as a reflection of patriarchal society. The purpose of this study is to analyze the manifestations of oppression in Dian Purnomo's novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam using Iris Young's theory of oppression. This is a qualitative study with descriptive methods. This study takes a literary feminist approach, drawing on Iris Young's five faces of oppression theory, which includes cultural imperialism, marginalization, powerlessness, exploitation, and violence. The main data for this study comes from Dian Purnomo's novel, Perempuan Yang Menangis Kepada Bulan Hitam. This study uses data that includes excerpts of sentences, monologues, dialogues, and paragraphs that contain practices of oppression against female characters. Data collection in this study was carried out using observation and recording, while data analysis was carried out using content analysis. The findings in this study confirm that Dian Purnomo's novel Perempuan Yang Menangis Kepada Bulan Hitam  manifests the reality of women's lives trapped under an oppressive patriarchal structure and reveals criticism of gender inequality in society. These forms of oppression are interrelated and manifested through cultural imperialism in the form of Yappa Maniwe culture, which then leads to the marginalization of women in social environments, the powerlessness of women in decision-making, sexual exploitation, and physical and mental violence.
