Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini berjudul peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat di bidang pendidikan melalui kegiatan kemah bakti dan dakwah mahasiswa di kota Padang. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana partisipasi masyarakat di bidang pendidikan melalui kegiatan kemah bakti dan dakwah mahasiswa. Target yang diharapkan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah Ibu-ibu yang ada di kawasan kecamatan Bungus Teluk Kabung Kota Padang dengan dua kelurahan Bungus Barat dan Kelurahan Bungus Timur. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan melakukan kegiatan penyampaian materi tentang pentingnya pendidikan anak usia dini, bagaimana mendidik anak dengan kesantunan berbahasa, memilihkan jajanan yang baik untuk anak dan bagaimana memberdayakan berbagai potensi seni yang dimiliki oleh anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode partisipatif berupa keiatan ceramah, tanya jawab dan memberikan door prize. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah terdapat antusias masyarakat di bidang pendidikan bagi anak mereka sebeagai upaya mewujudkan generasi penerus yang memiliki akhlak mulia.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of a preliminary study conducted in class III of the Incasi Raya Gunas 01 Pesisir Selatan Elementary School, that the process of writing narratives in Indonesian language learning has not been carried out optimally. This study aims to describe the improvement of narrative writing skills with picture and picture models in third grade elementary school students Incasi Raya Gunas 01 Pesisir Selatan. This study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach, with the type of Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted in two cycles, with the stages of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year at SD Incasi Raya Gunas 01 Pesisir Selatan. The research subjects were teachers and third grade students of SD Incasi Raya Gunas 01 Pesisir Selatan. Data collection techniques used are observation, test, documentation. While the research instruments are observation sheets, test sheets, photos. This study shows that the learning process of composing narratives using the Picture and Picture model can improve the learning process of students in learning Indonesian in class III SD Incasi Raya Gunas 01 Pesisir Selatan. This can be seen from: 1) The improvement of narrative essay writing skills with the Picture and Picture model at the pre-writing stage in the first cycle, the average percentage obtained is 75.9% with Good increasing in the second cycle 89.2% (an increase in 13,4%), very good criteria 2) The improvement in the writing stage was carried out by the researcher conveying the learning steps using the Picture and Picture model , in the first cycle, the average percentage obtained was 51.9 % with sufficient criteria (C) increased in the second cycle 91.7% (an increase of 35.4%) with very good criteria 3) The improvement in the post-writing stage in the first cycle, the average percentage obtained was 59.1% with the Enough (C) criteria, the increase in the second cycle was 91.7% (32.6% increase) with the Very Good criteria.

Abstract

This research was done because there is still the wrong assumption in the society that it will be ashamed if one of the family members has suffered from a disability. Even, they do not ready to receive him. One of the disabilities cases is blind. It is indicated by not being able to see either totally or partially. The blind people are caused by the different background. Some suffer are congenital birth, this blindness occurred since they were born. Then, The others happened when they are still teenagers and even adults, which is caused by several factors such as illness, accident, style of reading, or blindness is an undetectable cause. This research tries to reveal the various life skills education provided by the administrators of Blind Orphanage Tuah Sakato in West Sumatera so that the cynical and apathetic impression on the blind disabled patients will be reduced or even lost by knowing the various life skills that they get during their education. Thus, there is no longer the assumption that people with blind disabilities are only used as a sacrifice for begging on the streets or just working as a masseur only. In addition, this research also tries to describe the impression of alumni after taking education at Blind Orphanage Tuah Sakato West Sumatra Indonesia. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with direct participation approach. The techniques used are observation, interview and participate in their daily activities. The results of this field research obtained a lot of information about life skills provided by the managers for their students. By providing many life skills, their students are ready to return to the community. There are many life skills that are providing there. They are; preparatory classes, massaging skills by recognizing the structure of the human body, the ability of foreign languages, the ability to cook, the ability to play music, memorize the Qoran and recitation of the Qoran with rhythm, the ability to make speeches and they also got the counseling guidance so that they can be optimistic to look for their future. From the interviews that the authors conducted to the alumni of Blind Orphanage Tuah Sakato who had completed his education there, the results obtained that 90 percent said they are very satisfied with life skills education that has been given by the managers of Blind Orphanage Tuah Sakato and they feel like getting a new family and they are also assisted to find work.

Abstract

There are still many parents who take their children to go to kindergarten institutions with the aim that their children can learn to read, write, count and be good at (reading) the Koran. Like what happened in Hauriyah Halum Integrated Kindergarten. Since the learning process is implemented, parents only fulfill all the needs of the children requested by the institution for the learning process including completing school administration. After that, the parents are only tasked with taking the child to school in the morning and picking up the child from school after the learning process, and sometimes asking how many stars the child's work got. Parents do not think at all about the child's behavior while at school, such as annoying friends, making noise during the learning process, hitting friends, and saying bad words to friends. This is often conveyed by the teacher every time the child comes home from school with the hope that the parents advise the child while at home. However, every day there is no visible change and even more protracted. For this reason, it is necessary to do counseling on the importance of parental involvement in kindergarten institutions in stimulating children's socio-emotional development from an early age. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out community service in the form of counseling. The extension method is in the form of lectures and questions and answers. This community service aims to ensure that teachers always involve parents in educating children, especially in stimulating children's social-emotional development from an early age. So that children can follow the learning process and behave well to teachers and friends while they are at school. As a result of this community service, it is hoped that all parents can train themselves or get used to behaving well in front of children at all times while at home as teachers have been accustomed to while the child is in school.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the application of the 7E (Elicit, Engange ,Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluation and Extend) Learning Cycle Model to the learning outcomes of the Basic Science Concepts of second grade student of Elementary School. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was all students of Primary Teacher Education in higher educational private university college in Padang in the 2018/2019 school year. The sample consisted of 24 control class students and 28 experimental class students. The experimental class uses the 7E Learning Cycle model while the control class uses the conventional model. The data collection technique is in the form of a learning outcome test (cognitive). From this study, there were differences in student learning outcomes using learning with the learning model Cycle 7E with conventional learning. Learning with 7E Learning Cycle model gives an effect of 72% (moderate) to the improvement of student learning outcomes in the Basic Science Concept Course.

Abstract

Karakter kinerja adalah semua aspek identitas diri individu termasuk cara berpikir, sikap dan keterampilan yang terinternalisasi dan menjadi kebiasaan individu dalam menjalankan pekerjaan. Karakter kinerja menjadi modal dasar dalam mencapai kesuksesan karier. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dan menggunakan instrumen karakter kinerja mahasiswa yang mengukur tiga aspek yaitu aspek pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas karakter kinerja mahasiswa berada dalam kategori berkualitas dengan rata-rata 61,17%. Aspek pengetahuan berada pada angka 61,4% dengan kriteria berkualitas, aspek sikap 74,4 % dengan kriteria berkualitas dan aspek keterampilan 47,72% dengan cukup berkualitas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses penggunaan metode tikrar sebagai metode untuk menghafal hadis pada pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas dan pengaruhnya terhadap hafalan hadis peserta didik. Metode tikrar dapat difahami sebagai metode menghafal yang menekankan pada pengulangan bacaan sehingga tertinggal dalam memori jangka panjang peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, dengan peneliti sebagai instrumen utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan metode tikrar dilakukan masing-masing peserta didik di kelas dengan suara yang dikeraskan di bawah bimbingan guru. Pada akhir pertemuan, peserta didik diminta untuk melafalkan kembali hadis yang telah mereka tikrar-kan tanpa melihat teks. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, metode tikrar dapat membuat peserta didik lebih mudah menghafal hadis. Keefektifan metode tikrar dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang bersifat hafalan seperti hafalan AlQur’an dan hafalan hadis sebagaimana hasil penelitian ini, menghasilkan kesimpulan sekaligus rekomendasi agar sekolah-sekolah Islam menggunakan metode tikrar dalam pembelajaran  Alquran dan hadis.

Abstract

Derasnya arus globalisasi dipicu oleh lingkungan dengan aktivitas yang sangat padat bisa memicu anak- anak kehilangan kesempatan untuk mengenal nilai-nilai islam dalam keseharian mereka. Apalagi, pada masa pandemi ini anak-anak lebih banyak berinteraksi dengan gawai dari pada bercerita bersama orang tua mereka. Sekolah daring yang menuntut anak untuk bisa mengakses berbagai referensi dari dunia maya membuat anak menjadi semakin tak terkendali serta ada yang merasa frustasi diakibatkan pandemi ini. kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat oleh dosen Universitas Adzkia bertujuan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai islam melalui aktivitas bercerita bagi anak-anak di Kelurahan Pasar Ambacang Kecamatan Kuranji Kota Padang selama masa pandemi ini. Adapun tujuan dari Kegiatan abdimas ini dalam menstimulus kecerdasan berbahasa anak melalui aktivitas bercerita serta menghindari kejenuhan bagi anak selama masa pandemi. Sasaran dari aktivitas abdimas ini adalah anak anak yang tinggal di sekitar RT 01/07 kelurahan Pasar Ambacang Kecamatan Kuranji Kota Padang. Cerita yang dipilihkan adalah cerita yang memiliki konten positif dan dikaitkan dengan nilai-nilai keislaman. Cerita yang dipilihkan adalah berkaitan dengan kisah sahabat nabi yang bernama bilal bin rabah. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan aktivitas simulasi dan games. Semua peserta terlihat bersemangat dan tidak ada rasa bosan dalam mengikuti materi. Melalui teknik bercerita, para peserta memiliki pengalaman kegiatan yang menarik dan berguna dalam membentuk karakter yang positif seperti menghormati orang tua, peduli terhadap sesama dan memiliki akhlak yang terpuji sesuai dengan nilai moral yang ada dalam cerita.

Abstract

Dalam berorganisasi, ilmu manejemen sangat dibutuhkan bagi pengurus yang akan menjalankan roda organisasi. Hal itu disebabkan  kesuksesan suatu organisasi didukung  oleh sejauh mana kapasitas pimpinanan dan anggota dalam mengatur organisasi yang dikelolalnya. Sebenarnya, dalam ilmu manejemen terdapat beberapa fungsi pengelolaan  yang mesti diterapkan, yaitu fungsi planning (merencanakan), fungsi organizing (pengorganisasian), fungsi directing (menggerakan) dan fungsi controling (pengawasan). Dalam pelaksanannya, empat fungsi manajemen ini sangat dibutuhkan sehingga dengan menjalankan empat fungsi manajemen tersebut maka apa yang menjadi tujuan organisasi akan dapat tercapai. Terkhusus kapasitas kesekretariatan, memegang peran penting dalam menata berbagai administrasi dalam organisasi OSIS serta surat menyurat yang diperlukan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini berupa tanya jawab dan studi kasus sehingga tidak terjadi kebosanan di kalangan peserta pelatihan
