Abstract

The purpose of writing this paper is to find out whether the principal's leadership style plays an important role in improving the performance of teachers who are none other than members or staff themselves, in practice, the teacher in carrying out tasks is still not optimal, one of the causes is the leadership style of a principals who are considered less effective so that teachers are also reluctant to carry out their duties wholeheartedly, therefore, the principal seems to understand and adjust his leadership style with staff and members so as to create a sense of comfort and goals desired by the school will be achieved more effectively and efficiently. The results of this paper also state that the principal's leadership style is very important in increasing or decreasing teacher performance, if good, then the teacher will be even more eager to do work and tend to be proud of his work, if bad, then the teacher will not be serious really or not wholeheartedly in carrying out their duties at school, and that also becomes an obstacle for the principal to realize the school he wants. If the leadership style of the school principal is good, then the changes felt by all groups in the school will be positive as well so that an environment can be created to encourage the achievement of the goals set by the school.Keywords: Leadership style, Principal, Teacher performance.

Abstract

The duty cycle of pulse width modulation is used to adjust the current of the oxyhydrogen generator with on-off square signals. These signals are essential for an oxyhydrogen gas generator to reduce thermal operation, improve the quality of oxyhydrogen gas, and enhance efficiency. A framework combining particle swarm optimization and regression analysis was proposed to determine the minimum temperature and production time of oxyhydrogen gas while maximizing efficiency using a single input, the duty cycle. The optimization results indicated that the duty cycle for the optimum solution remained within the upper and lower temperature boundaries. In this study, particle swarm optimization successfully provided valuable insights for practical applications in renewable energy technologies.

Abstract

The development of vapor compression refrigeration systems currently depends on the issue of environmental problems related to ozone layer depletion (ODP) and global warming potential (GWP). In addition to environmental issues, low energy use is also in the spotlight of researchers. To solve the problem of refrigeration development, natural refrigeration, especially hydrocarbons, is the focus of attention. Hydrocarbons are refrigerants that have excellent properties to be natural refrigerants. This study aims to compare the performance of refrigerant R-134a with R-290. The research used a standard vapor compression refrigeration system with a TEV-type expansion valve. The system performance is seen through compression, refrigeration effect, and COP with variations in compressor rotational speed of 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm, and 2000 rpm. The results showed that the compression work, refrigeration effect, and coefficient of performance (COP) of R-290 had a more excellent value. R-290 produces the highest compression work at a 2000 rpm compressor speed of 33.34 kJ/kg for the refrigeration effect at 1000 rpm of 353.33 kJ/kg and COP at 1500 rpm 12.32.

Abstract

Currently, welding is still very necessary for the increasingly advanced development of technology in the construction sector because it plays an important role in metal engineering and maintenance. This research aims to determine the effect of interpass temperature on deformation of weld results in ASTM A36 steel material. The method used in this research is an experimental method by measuring the deformation of the welded specimen. There are 9 specimens, the welding process uses shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), direct current reverse polarity (DCRP) with interpass temperature variations of 75 °C, 100 °C and 150 °C. The measurement results show deformation values ​​of 2.2°, 3.5° and 4° for each of the interpass temperatures of 75 °C, 100 °C and 150 °C. From the results of impact testing on specimens with interpass temperatures of 75 °C and 100 °C, it shows mixed fracture, namely brittle fracture and ductile fracture. The results of impact testing on specimens with an interpass temperature of 150 °C showed brittle fracture. The highest strength was at interpass temperature specimen of 100 °C, that is 211.79 Joules. And the lowest impact strength occurred in the interpass temperature specimen at 150 °C, that is 183.16 Joules.

Abstract

The problem with sales cash receipt information system is a common problem that occurs in a company, the problems that arise occur because accumulation data with manual bookkeeping and the large number of cash receipts from sales which result in the data storage process being not well organized. The purpose of this study was to development accounting information system at Zunrock Apparel Convection. Researchers obtained data using interview techniques, literature study, and observation. The tools used in this survey are an interview form, a list of questions, and notes. In this research, the mechanism used system design stage. Method used is the RAD method. Testing cash receipts applications with Vb.Net program used black box testing method. Black box testing or also known as Behavioral Testing is a test carried out to observe input and output of the software without knowing code structure of the software. Based on results of design and test results of the zunrock apparel convection cash receipt application with Vb.Net program, it was concluded that use of the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method made cash receipt application design process more accurate and structured. This is because RAD method must be carried out sequentially based on predetermined forms.

Abstract

This study presents the analysis of thermodynamic behavior and energy efficiency of a vapor compression refrigeration system with two types of condensers: air-cooled (ACC) and water-cooled (WCC). The main objective is to assess the system performance by comparing the Coefficient of Performance (COP) and Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) under both condenser configurations. During a 12-hour test period, data on refrigerant pressure, temperature, and electrical energy consumption were collected and analyzed. The results show that the WCC system outperforms the ACC system, showing a 5.7% increase in heat rejection and a 4.2% increase in cooling capacity. In addition, the WCC system exhibits a lower compressor duty cycle and consumes less electrical energy, resulting in a higher total EER of 5.658 compared to ACC of 1.945. These findings suggest that integrating a water-cooled condenser into a refrigeration system can significantly improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs, making it a viable option for commercial applications in tropical regions.

Abstract

Desa Bondowoso terdiri dari 11 dusun, salah satunya adalah dusun Gedongan Lor. Dusun Gedongan Lor salah satu sentra pothil di Desa Bondowoso, Kecamatan Mertoyudan, Kabupaten Magelang. Terdapat sepuluh pengrajin perempuan memproduksi pothil secara mandiri dan belum dilakukan secara kelompok atau berkolaborasi. Pothil merupakan salah satu jenis makanan ringan khas Magelang yang dibuat dari tepung singkong dengan rasa asin gurih. Para pengrajin pothil tersebut dalam usaha yang dilakukan belum dikelola dengan baik. Tidak ada pencatatan pembukuan dan pemasarannya dilakukan secara konvensional. Mengingat prospek produk pothil yang bagus dan diharapkan dapat menambah penghasilan keluarga, maka akan dilakukan pelatihan kepada para pengrajin pothil untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi, sehingga di Dusun Gedongan Lor Desa Bondowoso benar-benar dapat menjadi sentra pothil yang maju dan solid. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pendapatan membantu memperbaiki strategi pemasaran yang tepat dan pembukuan usaha berbasis digital, membantu pengrajin pothil dalam legalitas usaha. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan partisipatif. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dibagi menjadi 3 tahapan yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, pemeriksaan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai September 2024. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh para pengrajin pothil yang semua adalah perempuan. Peserta sangat antusias selama menjalankan kegiatan pelatihan kemasan produk, CPPB IRT dan pengurusan legalitas usaha, pelatihan pembukuan, dan pelatihan digital marketing. Kegiatan akhir pengabdian ini dengan melakukan pemeriksaan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara berkala, ketika pelatihan selesai dilakukan

Abstract

Wakaf, sebagai salah satu instrumen filantropi dalam ekonomi Islam, memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung kesejahteraan sosial yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini mengkaji potensi wakaf berdasarkan perspektif tafsir tematik terhadap QS. Ali Imran (3:92), yang menekankan pentingnya pengorbanan harta untuk kemaslahatan umat. Penelitian ini menyoroti konsep wakaf produktif sebagai bentuk pengelolaan wakaf yang tidak hanya berorientasi konsumtif tetapi juga produktif, dengan memanfaatkan aset wakaf untuk mendukung sektor pendidikan, kesehatan, dan pemberdayaan ekonomi. Melalui pengelolaan yang tepat, wakaf produktif mampu menciptakan manfaat berkelanjutan, mengurangi ketimpangan sosial-ekonomi, dan meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat. Dengan pendekatan tafsir tematik, penelitian ini menghubungkan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an dengan pengelolaan wakaf modern, seperti penggunaan teknologi digital dan investasi sosial. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa optimalisasi wakaf, khususnya dalam bentuk wakaf produktif, dapat menjadi solusi nyata untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi umat, menciptakan keadilan sosial, serta memperkuat solidaritas sosial-ekonomi secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), established by the United Nations in 2015, are a comprehensive global framework that addresses social, economic, and environmental challenges through sustainable development. This study examines the role of universities, specifically focusing on the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang (UNIMMA), in contributing to the SDGs. The study utilized data from Elsevier’s SciVal to analyze the department’s contribution to the SDGs through scientific publications in the Scopus database. A total of 97 out of 156 articles published by nine researchers from the department were found to contribute to various SDGs, with a significant focus on Goals 7 (affordable and clean energy), 17 (partnerships for the goals), 9 (industry, innovation, and infrastructure), and 12 (responsible consumption and production). The study highlights the department’s collaborative efforts and alignment with global sustainability goals. In addition, VOSviewer was used to map the research collaboration network within the department, revealing strong contributions to energy efficiency, sustainable technologies, and climate action. However, the department's research shows limited contribution to social SDGs such as poverty alleviation and gender equality. By mapping the university’s contributions to the SDGs, this study helps faculty members identify opportunities for targeted research collaborations, address gaps in SDG contributions, and enhance partnerships with researchers from other institutions, thus broadening the university’s impact on global sustainable development goals.

Abstract

The need for lightweight materials is increasing from year to year. In its application, lightweight and strong materials also need to be corrosion resistant. Corrosion resistance is an important property in automotive, especially in high humidity areas. Al6061-Sea sand material is a novel material that meets the mechanical standards required in the automotive sector. A previous study of Al 6061-sea sand conducted the mechanical properties of the composite. This current research focuses on the development of Al 6061 material with variations in weight fraction of sea sand reinforcement against the corrosion rate under the potentiodynamic method to determine the corrosion resistance of the composite material. The composite fabrication uses the electroless coating method on sea sand and the stir casting method with a melting temperature of 750°C. The agitation process used a four-bladed impeller for 10 minutes at 600 rpm with a stirring depth of ½ of the height of the molten metal. The tests include density testing, microstructure observation, and corrosion rate under the potentiodynamic method using an electrochemical potentiostat. The test result obtained the lowest corrosion rate results in 2% wt sea sand with a corrosion rate of 0.61875 mmpy. The increase in corrosion rate value is directly proportional to the addition of the weight fraction of sea sand.
