Abstract

prevention policies and practices in schools, focusing on the key factors that influence their effectiveness and the role of social, cultural and economic contexts. The approach used was Systematic Literature Review (SLR), analyzing 35 articles from highly ranked journals to synthesize evidence on the implementation and outcomes of school violence prevention policies. The review showed that key elements of effective policies include staff training, restorative approaches, mental health support, and inclusive policy design. In addition, social norms, cultural sensitivity and economic resources were found to have a significant influence on the successful implementation of the policy. This study provides practical implications in the form of recommendations to strengthen school leadership, increase community engagement, and prioritize mental health services in violence prevention strategies. This study contributes to the literature by offering a detailed framework for developing more effective and adaptive violence prevention policies, while emphasizing the importance of an approach that is responsive to the local context. The findings of this study offer a novel contribution by integrating contextual factors such as social, cultural and economic factors into the development of a school violence prevention framework, which is often overlooked in previous studies.

Abstract

Local culture plays an important role in shaping early childhood character, yet its implementation in kindergarten remains limited, hindering the integration of social values such as cooperation, togetherness, and cultural identity. This study aims to examine the implementation of contextual learning based on Madurese local culture in enhancing young children’s understanding of social values. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observations and in-depth interviews with three informants: one kindergarten principal and two kindergarten teachers. Observations were conducted during cultural activities, such as the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW), the torch parade on the evening of 1 Muharram, and the introduction of Madurese traditional clothing, which represent the implementation of social values through local culture-based learning. The results show that local culture-based learning is effective in instilling social values such as mutual cooperation, togetherness, and pride in cultural identity. The contextual approach based on local culture in kindergarten also effectively connects learning materials to children’s daily lives, making them relevant and meaningful. Through direct experiences in cultural activities, children develop social skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. This learning approach also strengthens the relationship between children, teachers, parents, and the community, while fostering pride in local cultural identity. Overall, this approach supports holistic child development, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kursus menjahit menjadi salah satu sarana pemberdayaan masyarakat yang efektif, untuk meningkatkan keterampilan ekonomi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada observasi pendidikan sepanjang hayat di kursus jahit Afuzu, yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dampak kursus tersebut terhadap peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat. Metode penelitian observasi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peserta kursus jahit Afuzu tidak hanya memperoleh kemampuan teknis menjahit, tapi juga membangun kepercayaan diri, jaringan sosial, dan potensi kewirausahaan. Dengan hal ini, kursus menjahit berperan penting sebagai alat pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan memberikan peluang bagi individu untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka melalui pendidikan sepanjang hayat.Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan masyarakat, pendidikan nonformal, kursus menjahit, pendidikan sepanjang hayat, SDGs, kewirausahaan, kesetaraan gender.

Abstract

Keluarga militer seringkali menghadapi tantangan komunikasi yang bisa dikatakan cukup rumit, terutama ketika berada di masa pertugasan jarak jauh yang biasanya terjadi. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan metodekualitatif dengan studi kasus keluarga militer yang informan utamanya ialah pasangan atau anak-anak yang memiliki pengalaman hidup terpisah dalam jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seperti apa dampak atau kondisi keharmonisan keluarga selama penugasan jangka panjang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kebanyakan pola asuh yang digunakan oleh keluarga militer yaitu pola asuh otoriter. Karena dampak positif akan kedisplinan dan kemandirian anak berpotensi cukup besar. Implikasi dari penelitian ini memberikan perspektif baru akan pengaruh tantangan emosional dan teknis terhadap komunikasi serta dapat memperkaya kajian komunikasi antar anggota keluarga, khususnya dalam konteks jarak jauh yang sering dialami oleh keluarga militer.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of private tutoring at home as a solution to overcome student learning difficulties. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a focus on Mrs. Cicik's tutoring in Simokerto Village, Surabaya. This research aims to describe the learning process, learning methods, obstacles, solutions, and evaluation of learning methods applied in the tutoring. The results showed that Bu Cicik's tutoring serves students from kindergarten to elementary school with learning methods tailored to the needs and characteristics of each student. The methods used include writing, parable, and spelling methods for kindergarten students, as well as special tricks to solve math problems for elementary school students. However, this tutoring also faces some obstacles, such as the different ways of understanding students and students' difficulties in understanding the material taught at school. Ms. Cicik overcomes these obstacles by understanding how each student learns, simplifying complex concepts, and applying diverse evaluation methods to monitor student progress. This study concludes that private home tutoring like Mrs. Cicik's can be an effective alternative to overcome students' learning difficulties. Flexible, individualized learning methods that focus on students' personal needs are proven to help improve understanding and motivation

Abstract

Abstrak: Sejumlah aktivitas dalam organisasi karang taruna ini dapat menjadi sarana untuk pemerolehan sejumlah karakter dan mengembangkan kreativitas generasi muda. Organisasi ini tidak hanya menjadi sarana pengabdian masyarakat, tetapi juga menjadi tempat bagi generasi muda untuk belajar berorganisasi, berinovasi, dan memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi lingkungan sekitarnya. Hasil obsevasi awal di Organisasi Karang Taruna di Desa Kedungturi Kecamatan Taman Kabupaten Sidoarjo bahwa Partisipasi para anggota Karang Taruna pada setiap kegiatan/aktivitas yang telah dilaksanakan selama awal terbentuk sampai sekarang dapat dikategorikan baik tetapi kurang aktif. Karang Taruna Desa Kedungturi, Kecamatan Taman, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan kreativitas masyarakat dan pemuda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kontribusi Karang Taruna terhadap peningkatan kreativitas tersebut. Metode penelitian kuantitatif digunakan dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi partisipan, dan kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kontribusi positif Karang Taruna terhadap kreativitas masyarakat dan pemuda di Desa Kedungturi, ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan partisipasi dalam kegiatan kreatif dan pengembangan keterampilan. Abstract

This study examines how differentiated learning strategies contribute to the development of independence among children aged five to six at TK Al-Islam Bangkalan, a rural kindergarten in East Java, Indonesia. Using a single instrumental case study design, data were collected over four months through non-participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Findings indicate that variations in content and process, supported by predictable routines and consistent teacher scaffolding, enabled most children to select learning materials and choose appropriate task difficulty. At the same time, a minority continued to require validation. Product differentiation and systematic assessment remained limited, reflecting constraints in teacher assessment literacy, time allocation, and class size. The study demonstrates the pedagogical potential of differentiated learning to foster initiative, responsibility, and self-confidence in low-resource early childhood settings. It highlights the necessity of practical, context-sensitive implementation strategies. The research provides evidence that differentiation principles can be adapted to rural and collectivist educational contexts and can inform discussions on culturally responsive pedagogy and equitable early childhood practice. Limitations include single-site sampling, reliance on teacher reports, and incomplete assessment artifacts, all of which limit generalizability. The study is significant for policy and practice because it links Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) objectives to observable developmental outcomes and identifies concrete barriers to scaling differentiated approaches. Recommended actions include targeted professional development on formative assessment and product differentiation, design-based collaborations to co-create feasible rubrics with teachers, and multi-site longitudinal studies to evaluate transferability and sustained impact on independence.
