Abstract

The problem of seafarers' protection in the implementation is still far from expectations. This is evident in the employment practices in the maritime field there are still things that are not in accordance with those established in the Manpower Act. Where entrepreneurs still make their own rules for the benefit of the company regardless of what the rights of its workersBased on the results of the study it was concluded that the state protection for maritime workers is still weak and slow from the threat of maritime security and safety. Other issues such as wages, maritime employment contracts, Indonesian maritime profession certification, strikes, unilateral layoffs, severance pay, freedom of association of maritime workers, and foreign seafarers' labor are issues that have hitherto been a problem both from shipping companies and labor Indonesian seafarers. The state must be fair in the payroll system, the internal control function must still have external supervision, the need for ministerial or presidential decree on the standard salary of Indonesian seafarers. Keywords: Legal Protection, Sailors, Contract System

Abstract

One of the greatest potentials of renewable energy is solar energy, which can produce electricity. The industry welcomed this to utilize solar energy to produce electricity through a PV rooftop system. The advantage of PV rooftops in producing electrical energy is in terms of investment costs that can eliminate the land component because it utilizes the roof of an industrial building as a place for PV rooftops to produce electrical energy. Soy Sauce companies, as one of the industries engaged in food, can utilize a PV rooftop with 300 kWp to produce electricity. The electrical energy produced by the PV rooftop can reduce 17,23% of the total electrical energy consumed by soy sauce companies in one day from PT. PLN electrical energy sources. A rooftop PV investment capacity of 300 kWp has a payback period of 12 years with an IRR value of 7% and a lifetime of using PV rooftop for 25 years.

Abstract

The cooling system is a medium that serves to absorb heat. The heat is obtained from the combustion of fuel in the cylinder. engine cooling is intended to maintain a stable temperature in the engine so that there is no too high temperature increase as a result of the combustion of fuel in the cylinder and the friction that occurs. Cooling the engine is also intended to reduce the risk of damage. The diesel engine cooling system is divided into 2, namely a closed cooling system and an open cooling system. The open cooling water system has an average temperature of 300 Celsius and the closed cooling water system has an average inlet temperature of 400 Celsius and an outlet temperature of 700-800 Celsius. Problems that often occur in the cooling water system are broken shaft impellers for seawater pumps, pipe leaks and capillary pipes clogged with dirt. The results of the writing refer to the damage to these components, this causes the fresh water temperature to rise. Therefore, regular and systematic maintenance and repair of these components is absolutely necessary for the cooling system to work optimally.

Abstract

Tanjung Kalian Crossing Port is a port located in West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The crossing transportation service at the Tanjung Kalian Crossing Port is one of the prima donnas for service users because this port is the gateway in and out to South Sumatra Province where it has 14 ships with 9 ships operating every day. The load factor at the Tanjung Kalian Crossing Port has currently reached the maximum limit. However, the operation of ships on this track is not in accordance with the minimum service standards for ship operation and the ideal departure frequency. In order to improve the quality of service and the safety of service users, it is necessary to balance the needs of service users and transportation service providers. The methods used in this study are load factor analysis, analysis of conformity with minimum service standards for ship operation, analysis of ship needs, and scheduling analysis. Based on the results of the analysis of the load factor calculation, it shows that the load factor exceeds the ideal capacity of the ship. The minimum service standards for ship operations have also not been met because the ship's departure time and the average speed of the regular ship are not in accordance with the existing rules. There is a difference in Existing conditions with the results of the analysis of ship needs and optimal ship scheduling so that it is necessary to reschedule according to the needs of service users.

Abstract

River and lake traffic signs play an important role in maintaining the safety of water navigation, but there is still a lack of understanding and supporting technology to recognize them automatically. This study aims to compare the performance of two popular object detection methods, namely YOLOv7 and Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD), in identifying river and lake signs based on digital images. The dataset used consists of 6,650 images, including original data and data that has been augmented with visual degradation such as low resolution, noise, blur, lighting artifacts, occlusion, and cluttered background. This study evaluates the models based on accuracy, precision, and recall metrics. The test results show that YOLOv7 excels in all metrics, with the highest accuracy of 78%, compared to SSD which only reaches 70%. Both models experience a significant decrease in performance under occlusion and cluttered background conditions, but YOLOv7 still shows better resilience. Meanwhile, the blur condition is the degradation that least affects the performance of both models. These findings confirm that YOLOv7 is more robust to visual disturbances and can be a more effective alternative in automatic river and lake traffic sign recognition systems.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of full costing and variable costing production methods on the sales results of coffee products at the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Kopi Miyami in Cikarang. The background of this research is based on the increase in domestic coffee consumption and the trend of the 'ngopi' lifestyle which makes coffee shops an integral part of urban social activities. This study adopts a qualitative approach with purposive sampling techniques, resulting in 80 monthly observation data. The research results indicate that both production cost methods, such as full costing and variable costing, significantly influence sales results. Regression coefficients show that the variable costing method has a more dominant influence on increasing sales results compared to the full costing method. Based on these findings, this research suggests that MSMEs in the food and beverage sector, particularly coffee shops, considering the use of variable costing methods in calculating their production costs. This aims to support efficiency, competitive pricing, and optimal sales improvement.
