Abstract

As we know, environmental damage in Indonesia and natural balance has been disrupted. Religion, especially Islam actually have a clear concept of saving the environment. Islam is a religion that believes that the environment is an integral part of person’s faith in Allah. In this reseacrh, researchers used Field Research that are descriptive qualitative, at SMP IT Alam “Nurul Islam” Yogyakarta. From the research, it was found that the effort in the Tauhid based learning environment at SMP IT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta, that is: 1. Learning in the classroom, 2. learning field or learning outside the classroom. With the aim for the creation of social sensitivity and love and respect for the environment and natural as high.

Abstract

Community service is an integral part of the "Tri Dharma" of higher education that must be carried out by lecturers, including those at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. This activity involves lecturers engaging with communities or industry partners outside the campus, aiming to maximize their expertise while addressing problems or optimizing the potential within society. This particular community service proposal adopts the "Mbangun Desa" (Building Villages) scheme, targeting human resource development with a specific focus on strengthening the character of youth. The program, titled "Strengthening the Character of Youth in Pacarejo Village, Semanu District, Gunung Kidul Regency Through this community service program, it is expected that youth in Pacarejo Village, Semanu, Gunung Kidul will improve their Qur'anic recitation skills and build strong character. Abstract

Post-COVID-19, Islamic religious education faced challenges due to mosque restrictions and suspended Qur'anic programs, reducing youth interest in memorization. Technological distractions also prompted shifts in teaching methods to adapt to digital advancements. This study aims to develop the Qur'an Whiz educational game application for Qur'anic memorization using the Takrir method, designed specifically for the Android platform. The research adopted the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) as its methodological framework. Iterative testing and validation processes involving material, design, and media experts were conducted to refine the application and ensure its effectiveness and user engagement. The activities carried out at the analysis stage are collecting data through interviews and observations, related to existing problems. Furthermore, implementation is carried out by testing the application in the community, students, material experts, design experts, and media experts. After testing and implementing the product, the final stage is evaluating and perfecting the "Qwizy" application according to suggestions from experts, teachers, students, and the general public. The findings revealed a significant improvement in users' memorization abilities, with the average pretest score of 65 increasing to 85 in the post-test, reflecting a 20-point or 30.77% improvement. The application features a user-friendly interface and interactive elements that enhance user motivation and engagement. This study concludes that "Qur'an Whiz" is an innovative and effective tool for improving Qur'anic memorization, offering an educational and enjoyable learning experience for children in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of integrated science learning on improving problem-solving and communication skills of prospective teachers. The research method is a non-equivalent group design experiment. This study involved 95 prospective teachers from three universities in Java. Communication data was measured using an observation sheet and problem-solving data was measured using a descriptive test instrument. The instrument has been assessed by experts in the field of science learning. The 21-item descriptive test instrument meets the assumption of the mean square MNSQ fit models in the range of 0.77-1.33. The data collection techniques used were tests and observations. The instruments used were problem-solving tests and observation sheets. The data analysis techniques used were independent t-tests. The results of this study showed differences in problem-solving skills and communication skills of students who used modules and those who did not. Based on the significance value, it is concluded that there is a difference between the control class and the experimental class based on significance value < 0.05. The achievement of prospective science teachers is good. The aspects of understanding, planning, and solving problems are good. However, the evaluation thinking aspect is not optimal. The communication achievement skills of seven aspects, namely messages, message forms, channels, noise, context, impact, and ethics are good. Meanwhile, the competency aspect is not optimal.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of religious moderation in interfaith dialogue in Indonesia, especially in Flores, NTT. Religion, which in general is an ideology that is defensive and partial, at first glance does not appear in the Flores NTT community. This can be seen when commemorating religious holidays such as Eid al-Fitr or Christmas, where young people from different religious backgrounds help each other in the smooth implementation of the holiday, houses of worship that are often built side by side facilitate the process of interfaith interaction in Flores, NTT. This is an interest for the author to look further into the concept of religious moderation in Flores, NTT which can become an example in the application of religious moderation in Indonesia. Interpretive paradigm, an inductive qualitative approach, with qualitative multimethods, anthropology - ethnography to phenomenology, the author tries to map interfaith interaction patterns in the concept of religious moderation in NTT, where the result is, the position of religion as an ideology is replaced with the family, where the family is more exalted than religion, on the other hand the role of religious leaders is very large in the process of interfaith dialogue, cultural elements, customs that are humanistic in nature strengthen the process of interfaith interaction in Flores, NTT.
