Abstract

Muhammadiyah faces the challenges of digital disruption, radicalism, and generational shifts. This article analyzes the existence of Muhammadiyah through the integration of ideological belief, socio-cultural transformation, and leadership management systems. The method employed is a qualitative descriptive-analytical literature study, drawing on sources from journals, books, official documents, and digital platforms. Data analysis adapts the model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The main findings indicate that Muhammadiyah’s resilience is rooted in three dimensions: (1) theological belief that integrates faith, tajdīd, rationality, moderation, and social justice; (2) cultural transformation through the negotiation of purification with local wisdom, character education, the theology of Al-Ma’un, ecology, and ethical technology; and (3) collegial leadership management based on deliberation, cadre formation, autonomy, and professionalism. The contribution of this article lies in demonstrating that Muhammadiyah’s existence does not rely solely on its charitable enterprises, but also on an adaptive system of values and organization. In conclusion, Muhammadiyah remains existent by connecting these three dimensions; however, digital challenges and generational change require continuous strategic renewal. Future research should examine the empirical implementation of digitalization within Muhammadiyah’s charitable enterprises.

Abstract

This community service article explains an educational and participatory mentoring program for Dhuha prayer learning at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Ngawi. The program responded to the partner school need for worship learning that does not stop at routine practice, but also develops conceptual understanding, guided performance, reflective awareness, and sustainable habituation. The mentoring used socialization, material delivery, interactive discussion, guided practice, observation, and participant reflection. The program focused on the meaning, legal basis, time, number of rakaat, procedure, manners, and educational value of Dhuha prayer. The results show that the program strengthened student understanding, improved practice accuracy, and encouraged religious discipline within the school and boarding environment. The activity also produced a practical guide that teachers and students can use for follow-up religious mentoring. The article argues that Dhuha prayer mentoring becomes more effective when schools combine religious culture, teacher assistance, reflective dialogue, and simple evaluation instruments. This community service model can support Islamic education programs that aim to transform routine worship into meaningful character education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of transformative Islamic Religious Education values in shaping students’ character, morality, and social behavior. This research used a qualitative approach with a literature review method. The data were obtained from literature discussing transformative Islamic Religious Education, transformative learning, value internalization, character education, morality, the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students’ social behavior. The data were analyzed through thematic content analysis, including data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and synthesis. The findings show that the internalization of transformative Islamic Religious Education values takes place through value transformation, value transaction, and value transinternalization. This process is strengthened through critical reflection, teacher role modeling, religious habituation, active learning, and a supportive school culture. The main findings indicate that transformative Islamic Religious Education contributes to the development of religious character, honesty, discipline, responsibility, tolerance, care, and cooperation. This study concludes that transformative Islamic Religious Education does not only support students’ mastery of religious knowledge but also shapes their moral awareness and positive social behavior.
