The purpose of this research is to understand and discuss about Speech Acts of the United Stated of America, Donald Trump. The speech will be discussed linguistically by the writer. In analyzing Trump’s speech, the writer will relate it to the speech acts belong to J. L. Austin, those are: locutionary act, illocutionary act, and perlocutionary act. The analysis that will be elaborated by the writer is about Austin’s types of speech acts contained in Donald Trump’s speech, and then the most and the least types used in Donald Trump’s speech, and also determining does perlocutionary is always exist in every Trump’s utterance. This research is using descriptive qualitative method. In this case, the writer found 10 utterances related to Donald Trump’s speech. In those utterances, there include 10 data of locutionary forces, 10 data of illocutionary forces, but only 2 data that show perlocutionary forces, because not all utterances conduct perlocutionary. Thus, every utterance can be linguistically analyzed, in order to see whether every speech always conduct perlocutionary forces or not.

The purpose of this research was to know the social relationships through Sorokin's theory. This research was done through a film titled Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them which was released in 2016. The data were taken from the utterances of the characters’ dialogue through documentation, the process of watching, and post watching the film. The method of research used a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study indicated that: (1.) the types of social relationships are social interaction phenomena and non-social interaction phenomena, (2.) From the seven data about a social relationship, three data are about social interaction phenomena: by human in friendship, by human in ethnicity, and social interaction phenomenon in helping the economy, (3.) using Tsapeli's theory, the sub-chapters of the causes and effects are also successfully identified.

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of internal control on the level of bad loans and the influence on the level of bad debts the motorcycle in PT Radana Finance branch Tangerang city, Banten. A method of analysis of data used is a questionnaire survey method with Likert scale. Data taken with taking samples obtained from employees at PT Radan Finance branch tangerang city for seven days using the formula slovin by 44 employees. Furthermore, using SPSS v.19 software and statistical formulas to determine the influence of the two variables, namely internal control (x) and loans (y). Ther result showed that there is a very strong influence of internal control (x) with bad credit (y). With Pearson correlation value of 0.884. Then the contribution of internal control variable (x) against non-performing loans (y) of 0,703, or 70.3%, while the remaining 29.7% influenced by other factors not described. And the linear regression equation obtained was Y =75.268-0,548X. In a hypothesis test based on the t-test is concluded Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Means of internal control variable (x) has a strong influence on the variable sangta loans (y). It was on the show from the value t is greater than t table (9.980> 2021). This means that "There is a very strong influence on the level of internal control in the process of financing bad credit motorcycle PT Radana Finance branch tangerang city, Banten. The purpose of this research is to analyze and to identify a causative verb which is found on the novel of Indiana Jones and The lost treasure of Sheba. The writer uses descriptive qualitative method as guide to accomplish this research. The writer also does some steps, they are: collecting data, reading the novel to look for the causative been used, analyzing the datas and making conclussion. The datas are collected from references books, websites, and some articles. In this research, the writer would like to to analyze and explain how the use of causative verb in this novel such as let, help, get, make, and help. Furthermore, the result is the causative verb has been found as much 30 times whereas divided into 6 times for word of get, 2 times for the word of have, once for the word of make, 2 times for the word of help, and 19 times for the word of let.

Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, wawasan serta kompetensi bagi para santri, terutama Bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan ini berfokus pada pelatihan tata Bahasa Inggris dengan jenis materi yang disesuaikan dengan karakter dan kebutuhan para santri. Teknik pembelajaran tata bahasa yang digunakan pada pelatihan tata Bahasa Inggris ini adalah dengan menggunakan teknik Dictogloss (dikte). Dictogloss adalah aktivitas dikte kelas di mana peserta didik diharuskan merekonstruksi teks pendek dengan mendengarkan dan mencatat kata-kata kunci, yang kemudian digunakan sebagai basis untuk membuat sebuah kalimat lengkap. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 30 santri dengan kisaran usia 10 sampai dengan 13 tahun. Dikarenakan masih dalam keadaan pandemic Covid-19 maka pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara daring yaitu dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Zoom. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah para santri dapat membuat kalimat dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan tata Bahasa yang baik dan benar

Mifasol Learning House is a non-profit organization that works for the community with the goal of providing additional education for underprivileged children in Depok, West. The children are given a variety of training materials to help them improve their insight and knowledge so that they can compete. English language training is one of the learning materials available at this study center. This is due to the students' lack of fundamental English knowledge. Correct and accurate English vocabulary is one of the fundamentals and the main issue that students face. Based on this, lecturers in the English Language and Literature study program at Bina Sarana Informatika University participate in community service activities. This activity is packaged as training aimed at increasing English vocabulary acquisition using the Vocabulary Self-Collection Strategy (VSS). Two cycles are used in the training method. Each cycle is divided into four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The findings of this training demonstrate that VSS can be used to improve English vocabulary acquisition. The increase in the amount of understanding understood by students in cycles I and II demonstrates the improvement in student learning outcomes. In cycle I, the average test score was 58.2. In cycle II, the average test score was 70.2. The conclusion of this activity is that the VSS strategy can be used to improve students' English vocabulary acquisition. Rumah Belajar Mifasol adalah organisasi nirlaba yang bekerja untuk masyarakat dengan tujuan membantu memberikan pendidikan tambahan bagi anak-anak kurang mampu di Depok, Barat. Di tempat ini, anak-anak tersebut mendapat berbagai materi pelatihan untuk menunjang wawasan dan pengetahuan mereka agar mampu berdaya saing. Salah satu materi pembelajaran yang diberikan pada rumah belajar ini adalah pelatihan Bahasa Inggris. Hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya pengetahuan dasar bahasa Inggris peserta didik. Kosakata bahasa Inggris yang benar dan akurat merupakan salah satu hal yang fundamental dan menjadi permasalahan utama yang dihadapi siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dosen pada program studi Bahasa Inggris dan Sastra Inggris Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dikemas dalam bentuk pelatihan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perolehan kosakata bahasa Inggris menggunakan Vocabulary Self-Collection Strategy (VSS). Metode pelatihan yang digunakan terdiri dari dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukan bahwa VSS dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan perolehan kosakata Bahasa Inggris. Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya jumlah kosakata yang dipahami oleh peserta didik pada siklus I dan II. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I adalah 58,2. Nilai rata-rata tes hasil belajar pada siklus II adalah 70,2. Kesimpulan pada kegiatan ini adalah bahwa penerapan strategi VSS dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan perolehan kosakata bahasa Inggris peserta didik.

This research aims to discover the types of narrative text through listening to video games. The research focuses focusing enhancing students’ listening skills through narrative text appearing in video games and how listening can be enhanced by narrative text video games. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The researcher collected some data through the video games and then continued to classify them into narrative text analysis, especially linear structure, and branch structure. The researcher employed E. Kleinman Carstensdottir and M.S El-Nasr’s theory to analyze the texts and filter them into the linear structure and branch structure categories. The results show that linear structures have cutscenes, character interactions, and task completion. The video games that represent this analysis to enhance listening are taken from Alan Wake 2. The branch structures have multiple endings, dialogue trees, and quick-times events. The video games that represent this analysis to enhance listening are taken from Detroit: Become Human. This analysis shows that narrative video games provide an effective and leisurely way for individuals to practice and enhance their listening skill.

The objective of this research is to know the effectiveness of Peer Editing technique to improve writing English. Teaching writing is the productive skill learnt by the students. The research was conducted at the first grade students at SMP N 24 Tangerang in academic year 2017/2018. This research focuses on analyzing of peer editing technique to improve writing English. This research is using descriptive qualitative method. As a result the writer is found that: (1) peer editing technique helps the students to increase their abilities on writing skill (2) the students understand more about how to be a writer and peer editor (3) the students not only doing peer review but also doing their own introspection.

Studi tentang menulis telah muncul sebagai bidang penyelidikan yang penting dalam penelitian pembelajaran bahasa. Menulis memainkan peran penting dalam mengembangkan kemahiran berbahasa di kalangan siswa, baik secara internal maupun eksternal. Para peneliti telah berupaya untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai fungsi menulis sebagai alat pembelajaran yang efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menjawab, mendeskripsikan, dan menjelaskan pertanyaan-pertanyaan mengenai permasalahan siswa dalam menulis esai. Analisis deskriptif digunakan sebagai metodologi penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini, kuesioner tertutup berupa pertanyaan pilihan ganda digunakan. Pernyataan angket berasal dari penelitian sebelumnya mengenai masalah umum penulisan esai yang dialami siswa. Analisis tanggapan angket mengidentifikasi beberapa permasalahan utama dalam penulisan esai yang dihadapi siswa. Mereka mengalami kesulitan yang signifikan dalam memahami topik esai yang rumit atau tidak jelas, dan menghabiskan banyak waktu untuk memahaminya. Mengorganisasikan pemikiran dan menjaga koherensi merupakan tantangan besar, dimana siswa sering kali gagal mengurutkan ide secara logis atau memastikan kelancaran transisi antar bagian. Esai berfungsi sebagai wadah bagi siswa untuk mengungkapkan pemikirannya, terlibat dalam berpikir kritis, dan mengintegrasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber. Namun, siswa sering kali menghadapi tantangan dalam menulis esai, termasuk masalah seperti plagiarisme, kesalahan tata bahasa, kesulitan leksikal, kurangnya perencanaan, dan kurang percaya diri.

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of STEAM-based hybrid based learning model on students' critical thinking skills. This research is a type of meta-analysis research. The research data came from 15 national and international journals. The process of searching for data sources through the google scholar database, Science Direct, Eric, Plos ONE and Wiley. The data selection method is the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method. The inclusion criteria for this meta-analysis research are that the research must be published in the last 5 years 2018-2023, the research must use experimental or quasi-experimental methods, the research must have an experimental class that applies a hybrid-based learning model and a control class, the research comes from journals indexed by SINTA and Scopus, and the research has complete data to calculate the effect size. The data analysis technique is quantitative analysis by calculating the effect size value, research heterogeneity and publication bias with the help of the Comprehensive Meta-analysis (CMA) version.3 application. The results of the study concluded that the summary effect size or average effect size (p < 0.01; ES = 1.052) criteria were strong. This finding explains that the hybrid-based learning model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills. This STEAM-based hybrid-based learning model has a higher effect on students' critical thinking skills than the conventional model. Model has a high influence on students' critical thinking skills than conventional models
