Abstract

This study aimed to determine how the teacher's assessment of student discipline attitudes has been done all this time. Knowing how to develop an instrument for assessing students 'disciplinary attitudes that is standard and feasible to use, including: (a) what indicators are appropriate to measure students' disciplinary attitudes. (b) how to develop indicators for assessing disciplinary attitudes into questionnaire items. (c) determine the validity and reliability of the student's disciplinary attitude assessment instrument. In the end, to find out the degree of discipline of senior high school students. This research is a research and development. The subjects in this study were 312 class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Karangdowo. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis used included Exploratory Factor Analysis, reliability analysis using Cronbach's Alpha, and descriptive analysis. The result showed (1) the assessment of disciplinary attitudes by the teacher had not used valid and reliable instruments. (2) the results of the development of the instrument obtain indicators of discipline attitude, which are divided into 3, namely: obeying the general rules of schools outside the teaching and learning activities, obeying the rules of teaching and learning, and attendance in class, and obeying the rules of the learning task. The construct validity test of 50 items was declared valid with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.898, which was divided into 15 factors. (3) the tendency of discipline attitude of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Karangdowo is in the medium category

Abstract

Abstract.The education sector has also felt the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which can be said to be quite significant. The online learning policy launched by the government has been accepted and implemented by schools without careful planning. Teachers as the frontline in facilitating learning really feel the decline in the competence and quality of students' human resources, especially in mathematics subjects caused by students' relatively low critical thinking skills. This condition was complained by members of the Mathematics MGMP of Purworejo Regency. The complaint was then answered by the service team through community service activities by implementing a mathematics learning model to stimulate critical thinking. The purpose of implementing this massive learning model is to increase the innovation and competence of teachers of the Mathematics MGMP members of SMA Purworejo in implementing learning that can stimulate students' critical thinking skills. Community service activities will be carried out on December 21-24 2021 with the target of the Purworejo Mathematics MGMP. The stages of activities include socialization, dissemination, implementation, and evaluation. Through this activity, MGMP members gain a lot of knowledge related to learning models and students' critical thinking skills, gain inspiration and innovation in implementing mathematics learning, and through implementation in students, teachers can ultimately improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills. Abstrak. Sektor pendidikan turut merasakan dampak pandemi Covid-19 yang dapat dikatakan cukup signifikan. Kebijakan pembelajaran daring yang dicanangkan oleh pemerintah diterima dan diimplementasikan oleh sekolah tanpa perencanaan yang matang. Guru sebagai garda terdepan dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran sangat merasakan turunnya kompetensi dan kualitas SDM siswa terutama pada mata pelajaran matematika yang diakibatkan oleh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang relatif rendah. Kondisi ini dikeluhkan oleh anggota MGMP Matematika Kabupaten Purworejo. Keluhan tersebut kemudian dijawab oleh tim pengabdi melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan implementasi model pembelajaran matematika untuk menstimulasi berpikir kritis. Tujuan kegiatan implementasi model pembelajaran secara massive ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan inovasi dan kompetensi guru anggota MGMP Matematika SMA Purworejo dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran yang dapat menstimulasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.  Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21-24 Desember 2021 dengan sasaran MGMP Matematika Purworejo. Adapun tahapan kegiatan meliputi  sosialisasi, diseminasi, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Melalui kegiatan ini, anggota MGMP memperoleh banyak ilmu terkait model pembelajaran maupun kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, memperoleh inspirasi dan inovasi dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran matematika, serta melalui implementasi pada siswa pada akhirnya guru dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa.

Abstract

Background: Indonesian as a subject is not only important in academic aspects, but also plays a role that is influenced by external and internal factors, external factors such as National Examination scores, internal factors such as discipline and motivation to learn. Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the influence of the Indonesian Language National Examination Score, discipline, and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of Indonesian Language students in junior high schools throughout Pandak District. Method: The research is survey research with cross-sectional method. The population in this study were 658 grade VIII junior high school students in Pandak District, including SMP Negeri 1 Pandak, SMP Negeri 2 Pandak, SMP Negeri 3 Pandak, SMP Negeri 4 Pandak, and SMP "17" Pandak, while the research sample consisted of 228 respondents determined using proportional random sampling. The data analysis used was multiple linear regression analysis. Findings: The results of the multiple linear regression test found that variable X1 had a positive and significant partial effect on variable Y, based on rxy (0.325). Variable X2 had a positive and significant partial effect on variable Y based on the rxy value (0.206). Variable X3 had a positive and significant partial effect on variable Y based on the rxy value (0.211). The Indonesian National Examination Score, discipline, and learning motivation have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on the learning outcomes of Indonesian language in junior high schools in Pandak District, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta based on the F count value (14, 558). The form of influence is positive, namely there is a tendency that is directly proportional between the independent variables and the dependent variables.

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has resulted in fundamental changes in various aspects of human life, including in the field of education. However, the ability to utilize AI technology has not been widely mastered by teachers and educators. The workshop "Learning Evaluation Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)" at SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa aims to improve teacher skills in using AI for learning evaluation. This workshop answers the need for more effective, efficient, and objective evaluation methods in modern education. This activity was attended by 25 SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa teachers. This community service activity was carried out through 3 stages, namely socialization, workshops, and mentoring. This activity received positive feedback where 87% of teachers considered the material presented relevant, 88% appreciated the clarity of the presentation, and 86% felt the time given was sufficient. In addition, 89% felt the workshop was useful, 90% felt the material was easy to understand, and 80% agreed to apply what they learned. These results indicate that this workshop has succeeded in achieving its objectives and has had a positive impact on the quality of learning evaluation in schools. Teachers gain new knowledge and are motivated to apply it in their teaching. The use of AI in evaluation is expected to provide more meaningful and accurate feedback, so that it can support improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Pengenalan kemampuan bahasa khususnya membaca yang dilakukan di lembaga hasilnya tidak maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan karena pendidik belum menggunakan model pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca pun sangat terbatas dalam menerapkan prinsip belajar melalui bermain. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan model pembelajaran e-kom untuk mengembangkan kemampuan bahasa anak usia dini. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu pengembangan. Desain prototipe model pembelajaran E-kom diberikan secara langsung dalam bentuk Buku Panduan Model Pembelajaran E-kom untuk diberikan kritik dan saran guna penyempurnaan prototype. Expert judgement dalam penelitian ini meliputi: ahli pembelajaran PAUD, ahli bahasa, dan ahli media yang berjumlah 7 ahli. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data yaitu kuesioner. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data yaitu kuesioner. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yaitu analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantatif. Hasil penelitian yaitu hasil kelayakan berdasarkan expert judgement menggunakan formula Aiken menunjukkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran yang dikembangan memiliki validitas dengan perolehan hasil skor minimal 0,86 dan skor maksimal 1,00. Disimpulkan Model Pembelajaran E-kom valid secara isi dan konstruk. Model memenuhi aspek penggunaan bahasa yang mudah dipahami, menggunakan media yang menarik, memiliki landasan yang kuat, dan terdapat konsistensi antar komponen model.

Abstract

This study explores mathematics teachers’ perceptions regarding the integration of Javanese ethnomathematical approaches into geometry instruction at the junior high school level. The research involved mathematics teachers from 12 junior high schools across three provinces in Indonesia: DI Yogyakarta, Central Java, and East Java. Data were gathered through a structured survey instrument designed to assess opinions on the ethnomathematics-based model, supplemented by Focus Group Discussions to capture user evaluations. Descriptive analysis was employed to examine the collected data. The findings indicate that teachers hold a positive perception toward the use of ethnomathematics in geometry learning. This perception is reflected in several aspects, including awareness, prior exposure, evaluation of instructional design and implementation, practical use in teaching, and student assessment. The integration of Javanese ethnomathematics is deemed reasonably acceptable, particularly in terms of its introduction, content, evaluation mechanisms, and closing components. These findings offer practical insights for culturally responsive mathematics education that embraces local wisdom in classroom practice.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom learning model in terms of self-regulated learning on student learning outcomes. This study used a quasi experimental design in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gamping with the subject of the study being the experimental group totaling 32 students and the control group totaling 32 students. Based on the result of data analysis shows that the application of the Flipped Classroom learning model is more effective than application of the direct learning model and has a significant interaction between the learning model and the self-regulated learning. This can be strengthened by the result of interactions with the learning model and the self-regulated learning of Sig=0,044<0,05 so that the learning model affects the self-regulated learning of students. Abstract

The Effect of Supervision of School Supervisors, Principal Leadership and Infrastructure on the Performance of Teachers at Kapanewon Sewon Kindergarten with Work Motivation as a Moderating Variable. Thesis. Yogyakarta: Directorate of Postgraduate, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta, 2022. This study aims to analyze the influence of the development of school supervisors, principal leadership, infrastructure and work motivation both simultaneously and partially on the performance of the teachers of the Kapanewon Sewon Kindergarten. This research was conducted at the Kapanewon Sewon Kindergarten. This research is a quantitative research. The population of this research is all teachers in TK Kapanewon Sewon totaling 100 teachers. Validity test using product moment correlation and reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha. Test requirements analysis using normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test. Hypothesis testing using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were obtained jointly with the development of school supervisors, principal leadership, infrastructure and work motivation had a very significant positive influence on the performance of the teachers of Kapanewon Sewon Kindergarten. There is a significant positive effect on the understanding of School Superintendents' Guidance on the performance of TK Kapanewon Sewon teachers with an Effective Contribution (SE) of 13% and a Relative Contribution of 18.9% and a Total Effect (ET) of 33% and with an Indirect Effect of 10.1%. There is a significant positive effect of principal's leadership on the performance of TK Kapanewon Sewon teachers with an Effective Contribution (SE) of 21% and a Relative Contribution of 29.9% and a Total Effect (ET) of 53.4% and an Indirect Effect of 22.3%. There is a significant positive effect of infrastructure on the performance of TK Kapanewon Sewon Kindergarten teachers with an Effective Contribution (SE) of 12% and a Relative Contribution of 16.9% and a Total Effect (ET) of 32.6% and with an Indirect Effect of 11.7%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of classroom management after the Covid-19 pandemic in fostering student learning discipline and self-regulation. Using a qualitative method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from school principals, curriculum coordinators, teachers, and students at SMP N 2 Pakem. Data validity was ensured through triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that classroom management plays a crucial role in maintaining discipline and ensuring smooth learning processes. Key supporting factors include a comfortable learning environment, adequate classroom facilities, and the implementation of rules and effective teaching approaches. Learning discipline is reinforced by displaying school regulations, motivational quotes, and teachers' active role in reminding and guiding students. Self-regulation is reflected in students' ability to set academic goals aligned with minimum competency standards (KKM), study diligently, comprehend lessons seriously, ask teachers for clarification when needed, and seek additional learning materials. These strategies help students improve self-discipline and enhance their learning experience post-pandemic.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan instrumen penilaian penalaran kritis dalam menggunakan smartphone untuk siswa sekolah dasar; mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen; dan mengetahui penalaran kritis siswa sekolah dasar dalam menggunakan smartphone. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini adalah menentukan kajian teori; menentukan indikator; menyusun kisi-kisi instrumen; menyusun butir instrumen; validasi instrumen oleh Expert Judgment; uji empiris I (uji keterbacaan); uji empiris II (uji reliabilitas dan konstruk); instrumen final; dan uji empiris III (implementasi, menginterpretasikan hasil pengukuran). Uji validitas isi menggunakan indeks Aiken, sedangkan reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach Alpha. Responden untuk uji empiris II sebanyak 125 siswa sekolah dasar di Gunungkidul, dan 133 siswa untuk uji empiris III. Hasil penelitian adalah instrumen akhir terbagi menjadi 5 faktor dengan 22 butir pernyataan menggunakan skala Likert dengan 4 kriteria; kualitas instrumen dengan V Aiken 0,89 pada kategori “tinggi” dan reliabilitas 0,816 pada kategori “kuat”; dan hasil dari implementasi instrumen adalah 44,4% pada kategori “sangat tinggi”; 53,4% pada kategori “tinggi”; 2,2% pada kategori “rendah”; dan 0% pada kategori “sangat rendah”.   The objectives of this research are produce an instrument for assessing critical reasoning in using smartphones for elementary school students; knowing the validity and reliability of the instrument; and knowing the critical reasoning of elementary school students in using smartphones. The stages in this research are determining the theoretical study; determine indicators; compiling the instrument grid; compiling instrument items; instrument validation by Expert Judgment; empirical test I (readability test); empirical test II (reliability and construct test); final instrument; and empirical test III (implementation, interpreting measurement results). Test content validity using the Aiken index while reliability using Cronbach Alpha. Respondents for the second empirical test were 125 students of elementary schools in Gunungkidul, and 133 students for the third empirical test. The research results are the final instrument is divided into 5 factors with 22 statement items using a Likert scale with 4  criteria; the quality of the instrument with V Aiken 0.89 in the "high" category and reliability of 0.816 in the "strong" category; and the results from instrument implementation were 44.4% in the "very high" category; 53.4% ​is in the “high”; 2.2% is in the "low"; and 0% is in the “very low” category.
