Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test empirically the influence of Internet Financial Reporting (IFR) which consists of IFR index content, IFR index timelines, and IFR index presentation to the Cost of Equity Capital (COE) on the companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange.This research is a qualitative research. The population is all manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2010-2011 periods. The sample collection technique has been done by using purposive sampling method. The samples are 94 manufacturing companies. The data analysis method has been done by using multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the result of the data analysis and hypothesis test, it can be concluded that IFR variable, index content dan index timeliness has negative and significant influence to the COE on manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, index presentation has positive and significant influence to the COE on manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange.Keywords: IFR, Index Content, Index Timeliness, Index Presentation, COE

Abstract

Daemonorops draco has been reported for its antibacterial activity and empirically used for wound healing by Anak Dalam ethnic at Jambi Province, Sumatera-Indonesia. This study was performed to evaluate antibacterial and antibiofilm activity of D. draco resin collected from Jambi. D. draco resin was extracted using n-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol, respectively. Antibacterial activity of the extracts was evaluated using agar diffusion method against Staphylococcus aureus and Eschericia coli, whereas the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bacteriacidal concentration (MBC) was determined by microdilution method. In addition, antibiofilm activity was evaluated by violet crystal method. The result showed that extraction yield of ethyl acetate was higher than methanol and n-hexane. Ethyl acetate and methanol extracts of D. draco exhibited stronger antimicrobial activity against S. aureus compare to n-hexane extract. MIC and MBC of methanol extract and chromatographic fraction (F5.1) of ethyl acetate extract were 0.5 and 1.0 mg/mL, respectively. In addition, antibiofilm assay revealed that all extracts were inhibit initial attachment of bacteria cell in biofilm formation. This result revealed a novel information that  D. draco extracts was potential as inhibitor of biofilm formation. TLC bioautography of D. draco extracts indicated that constituent with Rf of 0.71 performed antimicrobial activity against S. aureus. This finding expected to strengthen the scientific backup for utilization of D. draco by society.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by chili farmers is the lack of knowledge about pests and diseases that attack their crops. That requires an expert who can explain about the pests and diseases that attack the chili to the farmers. The limited number of expert would result in farmers having trouble to consult with at any time of their plants attacked by pests and diseases. For that reason, we need a system that has the ability like an expert, where the system provided referral knowledge of pests and disease and its symptoms which are attacking the chili. In this study, a web-based expert system is designed, using a rule base with forward chaining method and the PHP programming language that is intended to help farmers in diagnosing pests and diseases of chili. Diagnosis expert system of pests and diseases in chili  have been built to help farmers to know quickly the type of pests and diseases that attack the chili plants along with the treatment and the percentage likelihood diagnosed by pests and diseases.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel Pengawasan Langsung t hitung > t tabel (-1,625 > 2,021) maka Ho diterima berarti tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel Pengawasan langsung (X1) terhadap Revitalisasi pasar tradisional (Y), untuk variabel Pengawasan Tidak Langsung t hitung > t tabel > -2,021) Ho ditolak berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel PengawasanTidak Langsung (X2) dengan Revitalisasi Pasar Tradisional (Y). Korelasi (R) sebesar 0,256 yang berarti menunjukkan bahwa adanya korelasi atau hubungan yang lemah antara Pengawasan Langsung (X1) dan Pengawasan Tidak Langsung (X2) secara bersama-sama terhadap Revitalisasi Pasar Tradisional (Y) dan coefficient of determination (R²) adalah 0,65 atau 6,5% yang berarti variabel bebas yang terdiri dari Pengawasan Langsung (X1) dan Pengawasan Tidak Langsung (X2) dapat memberikan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 6,5% sedangkan sisanya diterangkan oleh variabel lain. Untuk uji simultan F-hitung - F- tabel ( 14,278 > 3,23) artinya Ha diterima atau Ho ditolak yaitu variabel Pengawasan langsung (X1) dan variabel pengawasan tidak langsung (X2) secara bersama-sama ( simultan ) mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variabelRevitalisasi pasar tradisional (Y).

Abstract

ABSTRAKPT. Geoservices Balikpapan adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang jasa laboratorium untuk analisa batubara dan laboratorium lingkungan. Dalam melakukan aktifitasnya, PT. Geoservices Balikpapan menghasilkan limbah baik limbah padat ataupun limbah cair. Limbah cair yang terbuang lewat saluran pembuangan, diolah dalam Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan logam berat dalam air limbah sebelum dan sesudah pengolahan melalui Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah sehingga dapat diketahui efektifitas Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah dalam menurunkan kandungan logam berat di PT. Geoservices Balikpapan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan metode observatif yang mengukur kandungan logam berat pada Sampel air limbah sebelum dan sesudah melewati Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah. Kemudian untuk mengetahui efektifitas IPAL dalam menurunkan kandungan logam berat, dilakukan perhitungan dengan metode t-test (paired sampel t-test) dengan pendekatan rancangan sebelum dan sesudah (before-Sesudah design/ designs treatments by subjects).Terdapat perubahan nilai yang signifikan pada kandungan logam berat tersebut yang dibuktikan dengan metode t-test (paired sampel t-test) dengan pendekatan rancangan sebelum dan sesudah (before-Sesudah design/ designs treatments by subjects) dengan ? = 0,05. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah PT. Geoservices Balikpapan efektif dalam menurunkan kandungan logam berat.Kata Kunci: Uji efektifitas, Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL), limbah logam berat, metode t-testABSTRACTPT. Geoservices Balikpapan is a company engaged in laboratory services for the analysis of coal and environmental laboratories. In practices, PT. Geoservices Balikpapan produce waste either solid or liquid waste. Liquid waste is wasted through sewers, treated in the waste water treatment plant. This research was aimed to determine the content of heavy metals in waste water before and after processing through the Wastewater Treatment Plant, so that, it can be seen the effectiveness of wastewater treatment in reducing the heavy metal content in PT. Geoservices Balikpapan. This research is quantitative with observational approach that measure the concentration of heavy metals in waste water samples before and after treatment. The effectiveness of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in reducing the heavy metal content, was calculated by t-test (paired sample t-test) method with pre and post design (before-After designs treatments by subjects). There was a significant change in the value of the heavy metal content that was confirmed with the t-test (paired sample t-test) with ? = 0.05. This proves that the waste water treatment plant of PT. Abstract

Katarak merupakan kelainan  lensa mata yang keruh di dalam bola mata. Kekeruhan lensa atau katarak akan mengakibatkan sinar terhalang masuk ke dalam mata sehingga penglihatan menjadi menurun. Banyak faktor dikaitkan dengan katarak, yaitu usia sebagai faktor utama, dan faktor lain seperti penyakit diabetes melitus (DM), pajanan kronis terhadap sinar ultraviolet (sinar matahari), konsumsi alkohol, merokok, tingkat pendidikan, dan pekerjaan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain cross sectional subyek penelitian diobservasi hanya satu kali saja dan faktor risiko serta dampak diukur menurut keadaan atau status pada saat observasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui risiko pekerjaan.Hasil: faktor pekerjaan yang terbukti sebagai faktor risiko terjadinya katarak adalah Satus gizi (p = 0.033; OR adjusted 2.568; 95% CI = 0.962-6851) Umur tua akan berisiko terjadi katarak dengan nilai (p = 0.05 OR adjusted; OR 0.441; 95% CI = 0.962-6851) Kebiasaan merokok (p = 0.001; OR adjusted 5.182 ;95% CI = 1846-14545) Kadar gula darah dalam  tubuh yang lebih dari dua ratus yeng mengalami DM berisiko terjadi katarak dengan nilai (p = 0.000 OR adjusted OR 0.588; 95% CI = 0.740-4.053) Pekerjaan (p = 0.040; OR adjusted OR 5.902 ;95% CI = 0.740-4.053)Simpulan: Umur yang lebih dari empat puluh tahun berisiko 0.441 kali untuk terjadi katarak. Kebiasaan merokok akan berisiko 5.182 kali terjadi katarak. Kadar gula darah yang tinggi lebih dari dua ratus berisiko 0.588 kali terjadi katarak.  Pekerjaan yang terpapar sinar UV secara langsung akan berisiko 5.902 kali terjadi katarak.Kata Kunci: Katarak, Pekerjaan, Faktor Risiko Cataract is an abnormality of eye's lens.Cloudly lens or cataract Will block the ray to the eye so the vision decreases.Many risk factors of cataract these are:Age(the main of risk factor),and other factors are diabetes mellitus(DM),chronic exposure to ultraviolet rays,alchohol,smoking,education,working. Experience design was used cross sectional design and the subject was observed once in experience,risk factor and also the impact measured according to the situations and statues of the observation.this experience did to know the risk factor in work. The result:Risk of work already proven risk to be cataract,statues of nutritions (p:0,033;OR adjusted 2,568;95%,CI:0,962-6851),old age would risk to be cataract with value(p:0,05,OR adjusted;0,441;95%,CI:0,962-6851), habitually of smoking (p:0,001;OR adjusted:5,182;95%CI:1846-14545).glucose in blood more than two hundred of DM risk to be cataract with value p:0,000,OR adjusted 0,588,95%CI:0,740-4,053,working (p:0,040;OR adjusted OR 5,902;95%,CI :0,740-4053).The conclusion:Age more fourty risk 0,441x to be cataract. Habitually of smoking riks 5,182x,glucose in blood more than two hundred risk 0,588x to be cataract,working with UV exposured risk 5,902x to be cataract.Keywords:cataract,working,risk factor.

Abstract

This research was conducted  to study the plankton community at high tide and low tide of Demaan estuary, Jepara regency and to know the dynamics of abundance. The time of the research was done from April-June 2011. Sampling sites was determined by dividing the 3 stations in the estuary with Stratified Sampling Method, and two stations located on the river (station 4) and sea (station 5). The data determined are abundance index (N), diversity index (H '), evenness index (e), dominance index (C) and similarity index (IS). Physico-chemical factors were measured included water temperature, pH, salinity, DO, depth, turbidity, light penetration, and flow velocity. The plankton was found at high tide and low tide in April was Coelastrum sp. (Chlorophyta). Chaetoceros sp. (Chrysophyta) was found at high tide in May, whereas at low tide was Chlorella sp. (Chlorophyta). In June at high tide, there were found Chaetoceros sp. (Chrysophyta) and Arcella sp. (Protozoa), whereas at low tide were Bacteriastrum sp. (Chrysophyta), and Arcella sp. (Protozoa). The number of species at high tide was higher than at low tide, and the highest number of species present in June. Abundance index of  plankton in the estuary at high tide ranged from 6300-18572 ind/L, whereas at low tide ranged from 3807-17848 ind/L. Diversity index (H ') at high tide ranged from 1,74 to 2,83, whereas at low tide ranged from 1,39 to 3,16. Evenness index (e) at high tide ranged from 0,6 to 0,85, whereas at low tide ranged from 0,63 to 0,86. Dominance index (C) at high tide ranged from 0,08 to 0,33, whereas at low tide ranged from 0,06 to 0,34. Similarity index at station of estuary average are not similar, except at station 1 at high tide and station 2 at low tide in June.Keyword : estuary, high tide and low tide, plankton

Abstract

Hipertermia represent circumstance where individual somebody experience of or berisiko to experience of increase temperature of continuous body higher the than 37,8°C ( 100°F) peroral or 38,8°C ( 101°F) perektal. This circumstance will generate trouble fullfiling of elementary requirement human being. To overcome this matter need immediately the self-supporting action treatment in the form of happened expected warm compress change of body temperature. In this research hence method of pre eksprerimen with device of one group pre test and post test data obtained to be analysed hence test t test, result got terjdi of change which signifikan that is with average of temperature of body 0,97°C by SD 0,35°C, value P = 0,001 which burden that P < 0,05. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja program transisi Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) ke Sekolah Dasar (SD) yang menyenangkan di Kota Balikpapan melalui persepsi Masyarakat khususnya orang tua. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi, serta analisis data. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa persepsi orang tua siswa PAUD dan orang tua siswa kelas rendah SD di Balikpapan terhadap kinerja program transisi PAUD ke SD adalah baik. Hasil tersebut didukung oleh sembilan indikator kinerja, di mana tiga indikator memiliki mutu A, tiga indikator mutu B, dua indikator mutu C, dan dua indikator mutu D. Rekomendasi perbaikan berkelanjutan termasuk mempertahankan dan mengoptimalkan indikator dengan mutu A dan B, serta memprioritaskan perbaikan pada indikator dengan mutu C dan D. Analisis kinerja program transisi PAUD ke SD juga dilakukan untuk wilayah Balikpapan Kota, Balikpapan Barat, Balikpapan Timur, Balikpapan Utara, Balikpapan Tengah, dan Balikpapan Selatan. Hasilnya menunjukkan variasi dalam capaian kinerja di antara wilayah-wilayah tersebut, dengan rekomendasi khusus untuk setiap wilayah guna meningkatkan capaian kinerja indikator yang masih di bawah rata-rata Kota Balikpapan.

Abstract

The rain tree (Samanea saman) has the potential to become a green manure material for soil fertilizer due to its high biomass production and air N2 fixation ability. The research aims to determine the possibility of rain tree leaf waste being used as organic fertilizer in the construction of city parks without having to go through the previous composting process. The experiment was in polybags with four treatments namely (1) control with pure soil media, (2) addition of 20% volume of trembesi leaves composted, (3) adding 20% ​​volume of cocopeat growing media, and (4) adding 20% ​​volume of fresh rain tree leaves without composting. Experiment using sunflower plants as a representation of ornamental plants in the construction of city parks. The results showed that the application of composted rain tree leaves had the best effect on the growth and generative performance of sunflower plants compared to the application of fresh rain tree leaves without composting, comparison of cocopeat growing media and controls of pure soil media. The research findings will strengthen the recommendation that the application of organic matter to the soil should be through a composting or decomposition process first.
