Abstract

Garbage is one of the factors that damage the environment, basically garbage increases along with the increase in population and the level of consumption of the processing community Waste is two sides of a coin, waste recapitulation in 2020 in Majalengka Regency is data from the DLH (Environmental Service) Majalengka states that the population is 1,250,180 people produce 14,857 tons/day or 178,285 tons/year waste and transported or processed waste only 34,675 tons/year, this pyrolysis process is a thermochemical decomposition of organic material or inorganic processes that take place without air or oxygen where the raw material will undergo breakdown chemical structure into the gas phase, the plastic pyrolysis process requires several tools, namely a reactor as a combustion without air or oxygen from plastic so that it becomes gas, parameters including temperature which affects the change of plastic into gas, the pressure on the reactor tube caused by the thermal decomposition of plastic into pyrolysis gas, these parameters in the pyrolysis process are mutually tangent because the temperature of the combustion of the reactor will determine the resulting pressure, This is because the hotter the combustion in the reactor, the faster the pyrolysis process occurs, 180 minutes of the oil process produced by PP type plastic is 800 ml while LDPE type plastic is 500 ml, the results on the two plastics are different due to the difference in melting point temperature between types of plastic PP and LDPE, these parameters can be seen in the heat transfer in the pyrolysis reactor of 3.798 x 109 with turbulent flow type

Abstract

The manufacture of industrial enzymes from trash provides a sustainable remedy for environmental issues. This work investigates machine learning methods to enhance enzyme production from industrial waste by examining critical factors such as waste type and chemical makeup. Three algorithms—Linear Regression, Decision Tree, and Neural Network—were used to estimate and forecast enzyme production. Evaluation criteria, such as Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Coefficient of Determination (R²), were used to evaluate model performance. The results indicated that the Decision Tree method was the most effective, exhibiting lowest error and enhanced accuracy in selecting ideal production factors such as fermentation temperature and time. This method improves efficiency, lowers operating expenses, and encourages sustainable waste management practices. The results highlight the potential of machine learning to convert trash into useful industrial goods, providing a route to more sustainable biotechnology. Future study may enhance hybrid algorithms, include new waste factors, and facilitate real-time implementation for wider industrial applicability.

Abstract

Mangoes are widely cultivated and hold significant economic value worldwide. However, challenges in mango cultivation, such as inconsistent flowering patterns and manual yield estimation, hinder optimal agricultural productivity. This study addresses these issues by leveraging the You Only Look Once (YOLO) version 8 object detection technique to automatically recognize and quantify mango flowers using image processing. This research aims to develop an automated method for detecting and estimating mango yields based on flower density, representing the early stage of the plant growth cycle. The methodology involves utilizing YOLOv8 object detection and image processing techniques. A dataset of mango tree images was collected and used to train a CNN-based YOLOv8 model, incorporating image augmentation and transfer learning to improve detection accuracy under varying lighting and environmental conditions. The results demonstrate the model’s effectiveness, achieving an average mAP score of 0.853, significantly improving accuracy and efficiency compared to traditional detection methods. The findings suggest that automating mango flower detection can enhance precision agriculture practices by reducing reliance on manual labor, improving yield prediction accuracy, and streamlining monitoring techniques. In conclusion, this study contributes to the advancement of precision agriculture through innovative approaches to flower detection and yield estimation at early growth stages. Future research directions include integrating multispectral imaging and drone-based monitoring systems to optimize model performance further and expand its applications in digital agriculture.
