Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari kondisi yang tepat dalam percepatan pembungaan tanaman Phalaenopsis amabilis transgenik yang telah disisipi gen penentu waktu pembungaan Ubipro::PaFT. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan tanaman transgenik pembawa gen Ubipro::PaFT umur 18 bulan setelah penanaman. Tanaman ditumbuhkan pada inkubator dengan pencahayaan menggunakan lampu LED putih dan kombinasi LED putih biru, dengan fotoperiodisitas 8 jam terang 16 jam gelap, suhu 25ºC pada fase terang dan 20ºC pada fase gelap selama 20 minggu. Setelah 20 minggu pertumbuhan tanaman, dilakukan analisis profil protein dengan metode SDS-PAGE untuk mengetahui protein yang diproduksi pada setiap fase pertumbuhan yang diamati.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kombinasi cahaya LED putih dan biru meningkatkan pembentukan daun sebesar 60%, panjang daun 70,58%, tetapi belum diperoleh kemunculan infloresen. Analisis profil protein menunjukkan terbentuknya protein dengan ukuran 108,57; 71,30; 56,16; 40,85; 26,79; 13,27; dan 13,12 kilodalton pada tanaman transgenik, tetapi tidak terdeteksi protein dengan ukuran 19,65 kDa yang sesuai dengan berat molekul protein PaFT, sementara protein dengan ukuran sekitar 56,16 kDa sesuai dengan berat molekul protein POH1(Phalaenopsis Orchid Homeobox1). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa gen vegetatif POH1 mampu menghambat aktivasi gen PaFT pada tanaman P. amabilis transgenik umur 20 minggu, sehingga tanaman masih dalam fase juvenil dan belum mampu diinduksi untuk berbunga.

Abstract

Drinking water is the main need of humans as living things. Over time, humans are more practical so that for drinking needs they prefer to use bottled drinking water or refill drinking water. The high demand for bottled water raises the number of drinking water companies that issue bottled drinking water products. However, the quality of bottled water still needs to be assessed because it is not through pasteurization or other processing. So the microbiological content remains to be investigated. This study aimed to determine the bacteriological content in bottled drinking water. This study uses the Most Probable Number (MPN) method to test its bacterial content and gamma ray radiation to test its radiosensitivity. The sample in this study was bottled drinking water of various brands circulating in the City of Tasikmalaya. Based on the research results obtained from 13 samples there is 1 sample containing E. coli which is code B1 with a total bacterial content of 7 cells per 100 ml. So it can be concluded L samples are known to contain E. coli as much as 1.9 x 105 cells per ml.

Abstract

Galunggung mountain tourism spot is one of the natural tourism objects in Tasikmalaya regency possessing high biodiversity of living things, notably moss. The well-preserved environmental conditions in the area of Galunggung mountain enable the moss to grow luxuriantly and has miscellaneous varieties. This study aimed at identifying the moss living in around Galunggung mountain, Tasikmalaya. It was conducted on November 2017 through descriptive exploratory method with survey technique. The data were analysed descriptively by collecting specimens of the moss discovered in each observing station. The observing locations were situated in three different locations (stations) based on hierarchical height levels. Based on the identification, the moss proliferating in Galunggung mountain were classified into 20 species. The moss species dominantly identified in the entire observing stations were Bryum billardierii, Acroporium sp., Leucobryum sp., Marchantia polymorpha, and Calymperes sp.

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dismenore terhadap sikap mengatasi dismenore pada mahasiswi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Siliwangi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2018 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2020 di Universitas Siliwangi. Dismenore merupakan salah satu gangguan menstruasi yang sering terjadi pada wanita. Mahasiswi Pendidikan Biologi memiliki pengetahuan dasar mengenai materi reproduksi khususnya menstruasi dan gangguannya, sehingga memiliki bekal pengetahuan tentang dismenore. Pengetahuan mahasiswi tentang dismenore dapat berpengaruh terhadap sikap mengatasi dismenore.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat noneksperimental dengan metode korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswi Pendidikan Biologi dari angkatan 2016 hingga 2018 sebanyak 299 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi Pendidikan Biologi angkatan 2016 yang sudah mengontrak mata kuliah Anatomi dan Fisiologi Tubuh Manusia, sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data pengetahuan dismenore diperoleh melalui tes tertutup berupa tes pilihan majemuk 5 opsi sebanyak 16 soal, sedangkan data sikap mengatasi dismenore diperoleh melalui kuesioner. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana.Hasil: Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dismenore terhadap sikap mengatasi dismenore pada mahasiswi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Siliwangi dengan nilai R sebesar 0,365 dan nilai R Square sebesar 0,133 yang berarti bahwa kontribusi yang diberikan dari aspek pengetahuan dismenore terhadap sikap mengatasi dismenore sebesar 13,3%.Kata Kunci: Dismenore, pengetahuan, sikap ABSTRACTTitle: The Relationship between Knowledge of Dysmenorrhea and Attitudes to Overcome Dysmenorrhea in Biology Education Students at the University of SiliwangiBackgroud: This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge of dysmenorrhea and attitudes to overcome dysmenorrhea in Biology Education students at the University of Siliwangi. This research was conducted from September 2018 to August 2020 at Siliwangi University. Dysmenorrhea is a menstrual disorder that often occurs in women. Biology Education students have basic knowledge of reproductive material, especially menstruation and its disorders, so they have knowledge of dysmenorrhea. Students' knowledge about dysmenorrhea can influence their attitude to overcome dysmenorrhea. Method: This research is a quantitative research which is non-experimental in nature with a correlational method. The population in this study were all Biology Education students from class 2016 to 2018 as many as 299 people. The sample in this study were students of Biology Education class 2016 who had contracted the Human Body Anatomy and Physiology course, the sample was taken using purposive sampling technique. Dysmenorrhea knowledge data obtained through a closed test in the form of a compound 5 option test as many as 16 questions, while the attitude to overcome dysmenorrhea data obtained through a questionnaire. Hypothesis testing uses simple linear regression analysis. Result: Based on the research that has been done, there is a relationship between knowledge of dysmenorrhea on attitudes to overcome dysmenorrhea in Biology Education students at the University of Siliwangi with an R value of 0.365 and an R Square value of 0.133 which means that the contribution given from the knowledge aspect of dysmenorrhea to attitudes to overcome dysmenorrhea is 13.3%.Keywords: Dysmenorrhea, knowledge, attitude

Abstract

Cocos nucifera L. is a plant species from the Areacaceae family which is widely used by the indigenous people of Kampung Kuta, Ciamis Regency. The indigenous people of Kampung Kuta are still upholding the traditions of life to maintain the balance of nature and the local socio-cultural order, but it is very unfortunate that the use of Cocos nucifera L. by the indigenous people of Kampung Kuta has not been documented in writing, so they are afraid of community traditions and local wisdom values. existing ones can be lost. For this reason, this study aims to describe the ethnobotany of the use of Cocos nucifera by the indigenous people of Kampung Kuta. This research was conducted in Kuta Traditional Village in June 2020, this research is a qualitative descriptive study using the phenomenological method, data collection using purposive sampling technique with semi-structured interviews. The informants in this study amounted to 20 people, namely 13 women and 7 men with an informant age range of 30-67 years. The results showed that there were 19 ways to use coconut which were classified into 5 categories of use, namely as a food source, building materials, used as medicinal plants, handicrafts and traditional ceremonies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi Quizizz terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi jaringan pada tumbuhan di kelas XI MIPA salah satu SMA berada di perbatasan Kabupaten Garut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2019 sampai dengan bulan September 2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI MIPA pada tahun 2019-2020. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak dua kelas yang diambil dengan teknik porposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes hasil belajar yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar pada materi jaringan tumbuhan sebanyak 35 soal pilihan majemuk. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan peningkatan pada aspek kognitif hasil belajar terutama pada jenjang menganalisis, peningkatan ini terjadi karena aplikasi ini dikombinasikan dengan kegiatan praktikum. Selain itu, kebiasaan mencontek peserta didik dapat diminimalkan karena peserta didik terbiasa mengerjakan soal menggunakan aplikasi ini dengan randomisasi. Sehingga berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh Aplikasi Quizizz terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi jaringan tumbuhan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat pemetaan laboratorium lapangan tumbuhan familia Asteraceae di Gunung Galunggung sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif eksploratif melalui teknik survei. Data primer diperoleh secara langsung di Gunung Galunggung, data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai sumber kredibel seperti buku, artikel, jurnal, dan internet. Tahapan penelitian meliputi perencanaan dan persiapan, pelaksanaan, pengumpulan data, analisis data. Adapun waktu dan tempat penelitian dilakukan di Gunung Galunggung pada bulan Januari dan Februari 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 7 tribus, 20 genus, dan 20 jenis tumbuhan familia Asteraceae di Gunung Galunggung. Tribus Eupatorieae dan Heliantheae mendominasi komposisi tumbuhan masing-masing 62.5% dan 35.7%. Kondisi lingkungan di setiap stasiun penelitian bervariasi, dipengaruhi oleh faktor ketinggian, suhu, kelembaban, intensitas cahaya, pH tanah, kelembaban tanah, dan kecepatan angin. Perbedaan ini memengaruhi distribusi dan kelimpahan tumbuhan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa keanekaragaman tumbuhan familia Asteraceae di Gunung Galunggung tinggi, dengan dominasi tribus Eupatorieae dan Heliantheae. Kondisi lingkungan yang berbeda-beda di setiap stasiun penelitian memengaruhi distribusi tumbuhan. Temuan ini dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran dan pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang botani dan ekologi tumbuhan di kawasan Gunung Galunggung.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian korelasional yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan metakognitif peserta didik pada mata pelajaran biologi kelas XI MIPA MAN 1 Kota Tasikmalaya. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan mengambil kelas XI MIPA 1 dan XI MIPA 5 berjumlah 43 peserta didik. Data penelitian diambil secara non-tes, memberikan 2 (dua) jenis angket kepada peserta didik. Angket self-efficacy sebanyak 27 item pernyataan dan angket metakognitif sebanyak 52 item pernyataan yang mana sebelumnya kedua instrumen tersebut telah dilakukan validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara self-efficacy dengan metakognitif sebesar 0,469. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi variabel self-efficacy terhadap variabel metakognitif sebesar 22 persen.Abstract. This research is a correlational study that aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and metacognitive learners in biology class XI MIPA MAN 1 Tasikmalaya City. Sampling was done by purposive sampling by taking class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 5 totaling 43 students. The research data was taken non-test, giving 2 (two) types of questionnaires to students. The self-efficacy questionnaire consisted of 27 statement items and a metacognitive questionnaire as many as 52 statement items, both of which had previously been validated. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and metacognition of 0.469. It can be concluded that there is a contribution of the self-efficacy variable to the metacognitive variable of 22 percent.

Abstract

The way of life back to nature, including in the field of health, forms the habit of using plants as traditional medicine. Traditional medicine is indicated to be able to cure a variety of diseases. As with the leaves of Ciplukan (Physalis peruviana L.) by the people of Desa Wanasuka Kecamatan Pangalengan Kabupaten Bandung is considered to be used as a traditional medicine for inflammatory diseases such as rheumatism, asthma, and gastritis (maag) due to side effects and toxicity produced relatively small when compared with modern medicine. The aim of this study is to identify the potential of the secondary metabolite compound found in the leaves of the Ciplulan (Physalis peruviana L.) as a candidate for anti-inflammatory drugs. These research methods are molecular methods of docking through physical chemical properties testing, pharmacokinetic profiles of test compounds through site Pre-ADMET (Absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity) and Lipinski Rule of Five. The results of this study showed that the binding affinity of caffeic acid compounds with PTGS2 receptors (PDB ID: 5F19) showed a more negative result compared to the comparative drugs Aspirin and Ibuprofen -7.4. There was a molecular interaction similar to Aspirin, in which the addition of amino acid residues from ASN 382 and TYR 385 produces a strong irreversible inhibition of PTGS2 (PDB ID: 5F19) and is predicted to inhibit prostaglandin H synthase and indicate that caffeic acid is capable of producing irreverible inactivation of PTGS2 (PDB ID:5F19). So potentially a candidate for a safer anti inflammatory drug for the body. Because it has almost the same or close potential as Aspirin against inflammatory diseases.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the ethnobotany of bamboo plants by the community around Mount Galunggung, Tasikmalaya Regency, as a source of biology learning. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling with the population of Mandalagiri Village, precisely in the Paniis and Sukatani Villages. The data collection method was by interviews with primary and secondary data sources. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusions, and a qualitative SUV (Species Use Velues) analysis was carried out to determine the use value of bamboo species. The results of the research show that the community around Mount Galunggung utilizes six species of bamboo, namely Chinese bamboo (Bambusa multiplex), yellow bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris), apus bamboo (Gigantochloa apus), black bamboo (Gigantochloa atroviolaceae), ater bamboo (Gigantochloa atter), and bamboo gombong (Gigantochloa verticillata) in everyday life. This use is done in arts, crafts, agriculture, furniture, food, medicine, construction, collections, ornamental plants, beliefs, and ecology. Gigantochloa apus has the most essential value, with a score of 0.42, meaning this species has the most benefits.
