Abstract

Penelitian Kerjasama dengan mitra ini dilatarbelakangi ingin menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terjadi di masyarakat, seperti dunia pendidikan .Saat ini baik dari tingkat Sekolah Dasar hingga Perguruan Tinggi dituntut dapat beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi yang berkembang pesat, utamanya dibidang Teknologi Informasi. Terutama Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Adzkiya Balikpapan yang belum memiliki Web Server sebagai media penyimpanan database berbasis cloud dan fasilitas website sekolah sebagai media informasi kepada masyarakat. Berbagai informasi dapat diberikan melalui website sekolah, contohnya Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) secara online. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra adalah letak sekolah yang kurang strategis dan sedikit peminatnya yang setiap tahun jumlah pendaftar semakin sedikit di wilayah Lamaru Balikpapan Timur, tidak memiliki media yang infomatif untuk berbagai aspek kepentingan, adanya kebijakan PPDB online dari Dinas Pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyelesaian masalah ini menggunakan Waterfall. Dengan dibuatnya Website berbasis Web Server menggunakan Cloud VPS (Virtual Private Server) sekaligus implementasi PPDB online bisa meningkatkan pendaftar dari berbagai penjuru warga Kota Balikpapan sehingga wali murid tidak perlu datang ke sekolah saat pendaftaran, dan dapat memudahkan pencapaian akreditasi sekolah, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kredibilitas sekolah.

Abstract

This reserach aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model in enhancing the students’ creativity at vocational high schools (SMK) with a Islamic Boarding School context system, specifically at SMKS Islam Pesantren Alam Indonesia. Vocational education, particularly within Islamic Boarding School context SMKS, often emphasizes the development of technical skills; however, the main challenge lies in how to also cultivate the students’ creativity. Using a quantitative approach with a descriptive quantitative design, this research explores the relationship between the implementation of the PJBL model and the enhancement of the students’ creativity. Data were collected through questionnaires that measured the students’ creativity across four main dimensions: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results show that the implementation of the PJBL model has a significant impact on the students’ creativity at SMKS Islam Pesantren Alam Indonesia. Regression analysis revealed that each application of the PJBL model is estimated to increase the students’ creativity by 8.952 points. The t-test results also indicated a very low significance value (p < 0.05), confirming that the influence of the PJBL model on the students’ creativity is statistically significant. The most prominent dimension of creativity observed was fluency, followed by flexibility, originality, and elaboration—all of which fell within the "Good" category. This study reinforces the evidence that the PJBL model is effective in developing the students’ creativity, which is crucial for their competitiveness in an increasingly demanding job market. Additionally, this research is expected to provide new insights into curriculum development and more relevant teaching methods for Islamic Boarding School context vocational schools, as well as serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing more innovative and applicable learning strategies

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of lecturers and students of STIS Hidayatullah Balikpapan in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology for writing scientific papers effectively, efficiently, and ethically. Activities are carried out in the form of interactive workshops consisting of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and mentoring. Participants consisted of 35 people, including lecturers and students. The results of the evaluation showed that participants succeeded in creating scientific articles using AI, as well as understanding the use of AI by prioritizing the ethics of writing AI-based scientific papers. This training is expected not only to improve students' skills in using technology, but also encourage the development of student adaptation to the increasingly rapid development of information technology. Thus, this training is expected to be a model for other universities in facing the AI technology revolution.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education has transformed the way students prepare academic presentations. However, empirical evidence explaining the relationship between AI-assisted presentation tools, presentation quality, and students' self-confidence, particularly through a mediating mechanism, remains limited. This study aimed to examine the influence of AI-assisted presentation tools on presentation quality and students' self-confidence, while also investigating the mediating role of presentation quality. A quantitative approach was employed involving 200 undergraduate students selected through quota sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The findings indicate that the use of AI-assisted presentation tools has a positive and significant effect on both presentation quality and students' self-confidence. Furthermore, presentation quality positively influences self-confidence and serves as a significant mediator in the relationship between AI-assisted presentation tools and students' self-confidence. These findings suggest that the educational value of AI extends beyond improving presentation preparation by fostering better academic readiness and greater self-confidence through enhanced presentation quality. This study contributes to the growing body of research on AI in higher education by highlighting presentation quality as a key mechanism linking AI-assisted presentation tools to students' self-confidence. ABSTRAK Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pendidikan tinggi semakin mengubah cara mahasiswa mempersiapkan presentasi akademik. Namun, hubungan antara penggunaan AI, kualitas presentasi, dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa, khususnya melalui mekanisme mediasi, masih relatif terbatas untuk dijelaskan secara empiris. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan AI presentasi terhadap kualitas presentasi dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa, sekaligus menguji peran mediasi kualitas presentasi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 200 mahasiswa aktif yang dipilih menggunakan teknik quota sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berskala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) berbantuan SmartPLS 4. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AI presentasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas presentasi maupun kepercayaan diri mahasiswa, sementara kualitas presentasi juga berpengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan diri serta terbukti memediasi hubungan antara penggunaan AI dan kepercayaan diri. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa manfaat AI dalam pembelajaran tidak hanya terletak pada kemampuannya membantu penyusunan presentasi, tetapi juga pada perannya dalam meningkatkan kesiapan akademik dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa melalui kualitas presentasi yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini memperkaya kajian mengenai pemanfaatan AI di pendidikan tinggi dengan menegaskan peran kualitas presentasi sebagai mekanisme yang menjelaskan hubungan antara penggunaan AI dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa.

Abstract

Implementasi skill passport membantu siswa dalam merencanakan dan memantau perkembangan mereka sendiri, tetapi juga memfasilitasi proses evaluasi yang holistik oleh guru dan pihak terkait dalam mengukur pencapaian keterampilan. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi skill passport di SMK bidang keahlian tata boga. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Metode kualitatif deskriptif digunakan untuk memperoleh informasi yang mendalam mengenai implementasi skill passport di SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengambilan data dari wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, kaprodi, ketua LSP, dan guru produktif di SMK Pusat keunggulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan para guru telah mengetahui terkait ASEAN Toolsbox yang dikembangkan dari ACCSTP dan CATC. Namun, sebagian besar guru dan SMK belum menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis ASEAN Toolsbox. Faktor penyebabnya yaitu kurangnya pemahaman dan pelatihan tentang ASEAN Toolsbox dan standar ACCSTP; tantangan dalam menyesuaikan kurikulum dengan standar ASEAN, keterbatasan waktu dan beban kerja guru; dan keterbatasan pengetahuan tentang kebutuhan industri dan globalisasi. Selain itu, pelaksanaan uji kompetensi (UKK) di SMK bidang keahlian Tata Boga dilaksanakan melalui Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi (LSP) 1. Adanya perubahasan skema uji kompetensi siswa SMK yang semula skema klaster berubah menjadi skema kualifikasi dan pada akhirnya saat ini berubah menjadi skema okupasi. Temuan lainnya, implementasi perekaman capaian kompetensi sebagai portofolio siswa di SMK bidang keahlian Tata Boga di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur masih terbatas pada bentuk asesmen capaian pembelajaran mata pelajaran yang dilakukan setiap semester dan hanya sebatas evaluasi penguasaan konten mata pelajaran dan belum mengarahkan evaluasi capaian kompetensi baik berdasarkan SKKNI maupun ASEAN Toolsbox.

Abstract

 This study explores sexual harassment that occurs in students in an internship environment where students should have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained while studying in higher education turns out to have the potential to be dangerous for sexual harassment. This study uses descriptive research using a self-report questionnaire. Sample and Background A practical sample consisting of 261 students (male and female) at the Balikpapan State Polytechnic. The results of this study show that female students become dominant victims with 4 dominant types of experiences such as, Sexual whistling/shouting, Demeaning because of gender, Offensive comments about appearance/body, uncomfortable gazes or unwanted invitations. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that it can be an important consideration for universities in making regulations and efforts to prepare for the prevention of sexual harassment during internships in the industry in accordance with their respective fields before students leave for internships in the industry.

Abstract

This study evaluates the efficacy and security robustness of a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) data connection protected by a Virtual Private Network (VPN) deployed on the Zyxel USG 2200 router. The aim is to evaluate the effects of IPsec and SSL VPN implementations on network performance, particularly in terms of latency and packet loss, and to assess system resilience against cyberattacks through penetration testing. An experimental methodology was employed, involving the configuration of IPsec/SSL on the Zyxel router and VA modem, conducting packet transmission tests, and performing a security evaluation using Kali Linux tools (Hydra, NMAP, and Metasploit). The results indicate superior network performance, with latency values of 1.8 ms and 5.1 ms, and packet loss rates of 0.14% and 0.81%, signifying that the communication channel is exceptionally reliable and appropriate for real-time RTU applications. Port scanning revealed five open ports (21, 22, 53, 80, 443), but all penetration attempts were futile. Hydra faced failure due to a key-exchange mismatch; NMAP was unable to identify appropriate authentication keys despite numerous attempts, and Metasploit experienced connection issues during exploitation efforts. These findings validate that the established encryption and authentication systems offer sufficient defense against brute-force and fundamental exploitation threats. The research reveals that deploying IPsec and SSL VPN on the Zyxel USG 2200 enhances communication security while maintaining network performance. Future studies should incorporate long-term load testing and more sophisticated, multi-layered attack scenarios to achieve comprehensive security certification.
