Abstract

External skin protection is one of the functions of hair, hair loss and even baldness are common problems. This condition is caused by two factors, namely genetics and the surrounding environment. Shallots (Allium cepa L.) are tubers that are used as a spice and medicine. The flavonoid and phenol content as antioxidants can rejuvenate and repair damaged hair cells, quercetin and kaempferol increase hair growth and prevent hair loss. This research aims to obtain a hair tonic preparation that has activity as a hair fertilizer and to obtain a hair tonic preparation that has good stability, is safe and efficacious. This research used experimental methods, effectiveness testing with Tanaka and accelerated stability testing. The effectiveness test results of healthy control, negative control, positive control, F2, F3 and F4 on the 21st day showed values respectively 12.8, 12.55, 17. .2, 16.5, 14.45 and 12.2 and stability test pH 5.73-6.82, density 0,990-1,031, brown color, liquid form, aromatic smell. The results showed that the preparation with F2 had the same results as the positive control and had a stable preparation in stability testing for 28 weeks.

Abstract

Bawang merah (Allium cepa L.) sebagai bumbu dapur dan obat tradisional; penyembuhan luka  dan penyubur rambut. Sediaan penyubur rambut digunakan untuk menstimulasi pertumbuhan rambut. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh ekstrak bawang merah bermutu baik, sediaan penyubur rambut ekstrak bawang merah 2%, 4% dan 6% memenuhi karakteristik sediaan hair tonic yang baik. Ekatraksi bawang merah dengan metode maserasi. Pembuatan hair tonic dengan metode pencampuran. Rendemen ekstrak bawang merah sebesar 30%, berbau khas aromatik, berwarna coklat, bebentuk kental, kadar sari larut air 57,22 ± 0,091, kadar sari larut etanol 40,7 ± 0,966, kadar abu 0,684 ± 0,199, kadar air 0,616 ± 0,210, susut pengeringan 0,79 ± 0,179, sisa etanol 0,06 ± 0,005, kandungan kimia; alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin, fenol. Sediaan hair tonic memenuhi karakteristik sediaan yang baik, berbetuk cair, F0 dan F1 tidak berwarna dan tidak berbau sementara untuk F2, F3 dan F4 berbau khas aromatik, berwarna coklat, viskositas 1,47-1,90 dan pH 5,87-6,10.

Abstract

Anthocyanin is a chemical compound found in purple miana leaves and plays an important role in providing color. Purple miana leaf extract can be used as a natural coloring in blush on cream preparations. The aim of this research is to determine whether purple miana leaf extract (Coleus scutellarioides L) can be formulated in the form of a blush cream dosage form that is physically and chemically stable. The research method used was experimental research by making blush on preparation formulations with concentrations of 7.5%, 10% and 12.5% ​​and evaluating the preparations using physicochemical, irritation tests and hedonic tests. The research results showed that blush on formulations with concentrations of 7.5%, 10% and 12.5% ​​were physically and chemically stable and in the hedonic/preference test the most preferred formulation was the formulation with a concentration of 12.5%. The conclusion of this research is that the ethanol extract of purple miana leaves (Coleus Scutellarioides L) can be formulated in the form of a blush cream dosage form that is physically and chemically stable.

Abstract

Daun mimba (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) banyak digunakan sebagai obat tradisional yaitu untuk mengobati malaria, kencing manis, diare, penurun panas, dan antitukak lambung. Aktivitas suatu ekstrak dapat dipengaruhi oleh senyawa aktif yang terkandung di dalamnya yang bergantung pada sifat fisikokimia dari ekstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan sifat fisikokimia ekstrak etanol daun mimba (A. indica A. Juss.). Penelitian bersifat experimental berskala laboratorium yang dimulai dengan sampel diproses hingga menjadi simplisia; kemudian, simplisia diekstraksi melalui metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 70%. Penetapan sifat fisikokimia meliputi beberapa parameter yaitu rendemen, organoleptik, kadar senyawa terlarut, penetapan kadar senyawa terlarut, skrining fitokimia, dan penetapan kadar flavonoid total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol menghasilkan sifat fisikokimia yaitu rendemen ekstrak 19,438 %, organoleptik ekstrak (bentuk (kental); warna (hijau kehitaman); bau (khas); dan rasa (pahit)), penetapan kadar senyawa terlarut (senyawa terlarut air (62.5%); senyawa terlarut pada etanol (71.3%)), skrining fitokimia mengandung (alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, steroid dan tannin), dan kadar flavonoid total ekstrak yaitu 1.829%.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun mimba (A. indica A. Juss.) dapat ditetapkan sifatnya secara fisikokimia dengan beberapa parameter yang telah diuji untuk mengetahui karakteristiknya sehingga disarankan ekstrak ini dapat dikembangkan dalam bentuk sediaan obat bahan alam.

Abstract

A research on the inhibition of formula gel test ethanol extract of leaves of mulberry (Morus alba L.) as an anti-acne against bacteria Propionibacterium acne. This study uses a gel formulation made using mulberry leaf extract (Morus alba L.), which aims to determine the inhibition of antibacterial gel mulberry leaf extract (Morus alba L.) against the bacteria Propionibacterium acne. Gel made three dosage concentrations of 2%, 4% and 6%. Testing inhibition of antibacterial gel agar diffusion method. Test Antibacterial inhibition obtained by looking at the clear zone in the medium and measured using calipers. The results showed that the inhibition of antibacterial gel formulation with a concentration of 2%, 4% and 6% showing that inhibiting bacterial activity.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki proporsi terbesar permasalahan gigi dan mulut sebesar 45,3%. Jika dibiarkan masalah gigi tersebut dapat menyebabkan karies gigi. Penggunaan obat kumur dengan bahan kimia dapat menyebabkan berbagai efek samping. Pemanfaatan ekstrak bahan alam daun kamboja putih (Plumeria rubra L.) dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pengganti penggunaan antibiotik untuk menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan formula obat kumur yang mengandung ekstrak daun kamboja putih yang aman, stabil dan efektif. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah eksperimen dengan metode maserasi untuk ekstraksi dan metode difusi kertas cakram untuk pengujian aktivitas antibakteri. Obat Kumur yang dihasilkan dievaluasi dan diuji stabilitas. Aktivitas antibakteri sedang hingga kuat, dengan diameter zona bening yang dihasilkan ekstrak 10% 8,45 mm + 0,25; ekstrak 20% 10,19 mm + 1,37 dan ekstrak 40% 10,55 mm + 0,63. Sediaan obat kumur memiliki tingkat aktivitas antibakteri sedang dengan diameter zona bening yang dihasilkan obat kumur dengan 10% ekstrak 6,79 mm + 0,080; obat kumur dengan 20% ekstrak 6,95 mm + 0,327 dan obat kumur dengan 40% ekstrak 9,71 mm + 1,97. Ekstrak daun kamboja putih dapat dibuat sediaan obat kumur berwarna coklat kehitaman, berbau dan berasa khas ekstrak, homogen. Obat kumur yang dihasilkan kurang disukai oleh sejumlah panelis dan mempunyai kestabilan yang baik apabila disimpan selama 28 hari.

Abstract

Background: The utilization of Indonesia’s National Health Insurance Scheme has increased. However, evidence on patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services under national health insurance schemes in low- and middle-income countries, particularly using the SERVQUAL framework, remains limited. This gap is important, as Indonesia’s National Health Insurance Scheme patient characteristics may shape perceptions of service quality and inform targeted service improvement strategies. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between Indonesia’s National Health Insurance Scheme patient characteristics and satisfaction with outpatient pharmaceutical services. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted and reported in accordance with the STROBE guidelines. The study involved Indonesia’s National Health Insurance Scheme outpatients at the Pharmacy Installation of Dr. Suyoto Hospital, Jakarta, in 2023, who met the inclusion criteria (aged ≥18 years, received pharmaceutical services, and provided informed consent). Data were collected using a SERVQUAL questionnaire assessing five dimensions of service quality: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Patient characteristics (gender, age, education, and occupation) were analyzed as independent variables, while satisfaction served as the dependent variable. Associations were examined using Spearman’s rank correlation test. Results: Significant and strong correlations were found between patient satisfaction and age (ρ = 0.71; p < 0.001) as well as education level (ρ = 0.70; p < 0.001). Gender and occupation demonstrated statistically significant but weak associations with satisfaction. Conclusion: Satisfaction with outpatient pharmaceutical services among Indonesia’s National Health Insurance Scheme patients is significantly associated with specific demographic characteristics, particularly age and education. These findings underscore the importance of patient-centered service improvement strategies, with an emphasis on enhancing responsiveness and pharmaceutical communication to improve the quality of Indonesia’s National Health Insurance Scheme services sustainably.
