Abstract

Every language has its own structure and feature. Structure has language patterns that form their own feature and uniqueness. Language universality theory sees that all languages in this world have their own uniqueness as well as similar feature or characteristic for all languages. The different and similar character is studied by contrastive analysis so that students’ language mistakes can be predicted. In turn, the mistakes that caused by mother tongue usage influence can be fixed. The analysis result is used to accomplished students language skill. Furthermore, the aim is to help students to realize language mistakes so that students can master their learned language in shorter time. The contrastive analysis focuses on surface language such as phonology, morphology, and syntax because language is easily compared in this area. By mastering this knowledge, teacher will hold learning that emphasizes on differences between those two languages rather than the similarities.

Abstract

The mind ('aql) which is united with the brain organ is the only biological organ found only in humans. In the Qur'an, there are many verses related to the activity of the mind, where the verses in the Qur'an that mention the mind can be found in terms related to brain activity. However, in practice, education is still confined to a narrow culture of stigma that the brain and mind are only measured using a numerical intelligence scale. So the availability of verses regarding reason needs to be studied because there is a relevant relationship with brain activity, so in this paper we try to describe in depth the meaning of verses in the Qur'an about neuroscience which mention reason ('aql) to then be integrated into field of Islamic education. This writing method is qualitative with a library research model. This research uses a thematic approach (maudhu'i) based on the perspective of Ath-Thabari interpretation. Data collection comes from literature from books, journals and others related to the topics of interpretation, neuroscience and education. The results of this research, verses from the Qur'an regarding reason can be found in terms determined by brain activity, one of which is tafakkur as stated in Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 219. In ath-Thabari's interpretation, this verse explains that to meditate or think again about all the good deeds one does, it should be intended to seek Allah's approval, not anything else. The role of educators also needs to play a greater role in maintaining the nature of human thinking in the midst of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era.

Abstract

The Qur’an is the holy book which is inexhaustibly studied by many people. It has inspired a lot of thoughts, research and studies. The discussions of human in the Qur’an are numerous, ranging from the creation, life, naming, relationships of one another, and etc.. The Qur’an mentions that man is created in the perfect form, which is given advantages over other creatures. With his intellectual power, human tries to explore knowledge about him and understand his nature as a creature of God. Biometrics views human as a unique being. Biometrics sees that parts of the human body can be used as a security device because each human has his special uniqueness different from one another. Because of this specificity, human invents devices that refer to all materials, types of equipment, labours, and man-made systems to replicate the existing systems in nature. At present, the scientific community really needs such a device, especially in the field of nanotechnology, robot technology, artificial intelligence, medicine and military. Biometric normally used in the form of authentification, including Introduction to Fingerprint, Face Recognition, Recognition Retina or Iris, Geometry Arm, Geometry Finger, introduction of Palms, Voice Recognition, Introduction to Signatures, DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid), Thermal Imaging (Body Temperature), Shape Ear, Body Odor, Body Movement. On some types of biometric authentication on top of the al-Qur’an gives a signal on Surah Fussilat [41]: 20-22.

Abstract

المستخلص: بسانترين أو المعهد الإسلامي هو أقدم المؤسسات التعليمية في إندونيسيا. إنه يلون التعليم الإندونيسي منذ قديم الزمان، والسبب أن العديد من العلماء الكبير في إندونيسيا هم من خريجي هذا المعهد. تعد اللغة العربية أحد الدروس المهمة التي توجد دائمًا في كل المعهد بإندونيسيا. يختلف أسلوب تعليم اللغة العربية بالمعهد لتطوره بين المعاهد السلفية والحديثة أو المعاصرة. يهدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة كيفية تعلم اللغة العربية في معهد الزهراء القنطوري الإسلامية كالمعهد المعاصر ومعهد ونويوسو السلفية كالمعهد السلفي. والطريقة المستخدمة في هذا البحث هي الطريقة الوصفية النوعية مع طرق البحث الميداني. ونتائج هذا البحث هي 1) إن تعليم اللغة العربية في المعد المعاصر يكون يوميا وأسبوعيا وشهريا وعرضيا. بينما تأخذ المعهد السلفي شكل دراسات السوروجان والكلاسيكية والكتابية. 2) إن أوجه التشابه بينهما في تعليم اللغة العربية هي أن الهدف من تعلم اللغة العربية متساويان، وهو تعليم جيل من المسلمين لفهم مصادر الإسلام. 3) والفرق بينهما هو الأهداف المحددة لتعلم اللغة العربية واستراتيجيات ونماذج التعلم.

Abstract

This study examines the understanding and practice of zakat through the lenses of static and dynamic fiqh. The aim is to preserve the essence of zakat as a mandatory act of worship rooted in Islamic law, while adapting its implementation methods to remain relevant and impactful in today's socio-economic context. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through library research, analyzing both classical and contemporary literature on zakat law in a modern framework. Findings indicate that static fiqh plays a crucial role in safeguarding the purity of zakat regulations based on scriptural texts and established schools of thought. Meanwhile, dynamic fiqh allows for adaptation to modern forms of wealth, innovative distribution methods, and the integration of technology. These approaches are not contradictory but complementary, ensuring both the preservation and actualization of zakat in the modern era. This study contributes to contemporary zakat jurisprudence by supporting the development of contextual, productive, and digital zakat models. It also serves as a reference for zakat institutions to remain Sharia-compliant while being responsive to social and economic changes. As a theoretical, literature-based study, it does not include empirical data. Therefore, further research using quantitative or field-based qualitative methods is recommended to strengthen these findings.

Abstract

This research aims to examine contemporary Islamic fatwas through the perspective of national social fiqh, using a literature study approach as the main method. The focus of this study specifically highlights the thoughts of KH Sahal Mahfudz and Yusuf al-Qardhawi, two figures who represent an important approach in the renewal of fiqh to be more relevant to today's social and political dynamics. The findings show that fiqh, as a result of ijtihad, is dynamic and is required to continue to adapt to the times, especially in the context of a complex and global nation-state. The concept of social fiqh initiated by KH Sahal Mahfudz underlines the importance of making social conditions the main footing in formulating fatwas, while the idea of fiqh reality from Yusuf al-Qardhawi emphasizes the urgency of harmonization between Islamic texts and social reality to maintain the relevance of Islamic law. Both have a critical view of the fanaticism of the madhhab and both encourage a moderate approach to fiqh based on maqasid al-syari'ah which has ethical and philosophical value. Overall, this study emphasizes the need for a transformation of the fiqh paradigm from a textual-normative approach to a more contextual, solutive, and responsive model of national social fiqh to the challenges of the modern era.

Abstract

The study was conducted to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching materials used for Ilm al Ma'ani based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) in the Arabic Language Department - The State Islamic University of Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto, Indonesia. This study used Research and Development (R and D) designed by Borg and Gall. The data was collected using interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis techniques included descriptive qualitative data analysis and descriptive statistics. This study's product is a textbook with the characteristics of mind mapping, analysis models, and exercises in every chapter. The experts in Ilm al Ma'ani, Arabic language, and textbook design have validated the textbook. The results of the expert's validation and the students' opinions are excellent because the product improves the students' learning competence and academic performance. Using the teaching materials for PjBL-based Ilm al Ma'ani obtains effective results. The Normality Tests using SPPS show that the posttest average value of the students is higher than the pretest average value. It means that there is a significant increase in the average value.

Abstract

The implementation of Maqasid Shariah in fiqh instruction at SMA N 1 Purwokerto remains limited, even though focusing on the objectives of Islamic law has the potential to strengthen students’ character and contextual understanding of Islamic values. This study aims to explore the extent to which the concept of Maqasid Shariah is integrated into the fiqh learning process, using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach with a sample of six teachers and eight students deemed representative. Data were collected through literature review and semi-structured interviews, and analyzed using thematic analysis to uncover patterns of implementation, challenges, and educational outcomes. The findings show that fiqh teachers have implemented the values of maqasid al-dharuriyyah (essential benefits), al-hajiyyah (needs), and al-tahsiniyyah (enhancements) through the development of case discussion materials, social service assignments, and reflective applications of Islamic law in daily life. These efforts have been shown to enhance students’ tolerance, sense of responsibility, and social awareness, as well as deepen their critical understanding of fiqh. The theoretical implications of this study enrich the literature on Maqasid Shariah-based fiqh pedagogy and emphasize the importance of goal-oriented Islamic legal education in character development. Practically, the study recommends revising the Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam or PAI) curriculum to include Maqasid Shariah modules, training teachers in contextual teaching methods, and developing case-based instructional materials aligned with maqasid. These findings open avenues for further research on the effectiveness and adoption of Maqasid Shariah at various levels and contexts of Islamic education.

Abstract

The diversity of ethnicities, cultures and languages that exist in Indonesia is a clear example of the benefits of a pluralistic society. However, there is a risk of conflict here which could endanger the continuity of the country. This can be seen in a number of areas affected by conflict in Indonesia, including Sampit (between the Madurese and Dayak tribes), Poso (between Christians and Muslims), Aceh (between GAM and the Republic of Indonesia), and student brawls between schools. and frequent fights between villages in various regions of Java. This research uses library research to explore the concept of character-based multicultural education. In this research, there is use, namely the use of reading materials, reference books, or other research results to discover, analyze, and improve one's understanding of literary works. Research findings in Surah Al-Hujurat verse 13 include getting to know each other, tolerance, and developing devotion to Allah SWT.
