Abstract

Life in society has the potential for conflict if moderation in religion is not developed. In 1998, the conflict between the TNI and GAM began in the Bintang Pepara village area. In 2005 the people returned to the Bintang Pepara village. The people of Bintang Pepara village need to be given knowledge about religion, especially religious moderation because the village is located in remote areas. The purpose of this service is to provide understanding to the public about religious moderation. The method used in this service program is the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method. Based on the results of community service in Bintang Pepara village, there are five ways to apply the concept of religious moderation in daily life, including: 1) Respecting differences, 2) Increasing understanding, 3) Practicing religious values, 4) Creating dialogue, and 5 ) Maintain a calm demeanor and not be easily provoked.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) approach on learning motivation and sprint running skills among physical education Students. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into an experimental group and a control group using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through a Likert-scale learning motivation questionnaire and a 100-meter sprint skill test. The data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test after fulfilling the assumptions of normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups in learning motivation and sprint running skills, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The average learning motivation in the experimental group increased by 17.35, while the control group increased only by 5.35. In sprint running skills, the experimental group improved by 2.10 seconds, whereas the control group improved only by 0.75 seconds. These findings indicate that the TGfU approach is effective in improving student engagement, learning motivation, and motor skills. Therefore, TGfU can be used as an innovative alternative learning model in higher education physical education.

Abstract

The Summer Camp program serves as a cross-cultural learning platform that enables international participants to explore local resources while developing entrepreneurial competencies. However, most participants had limited knowledge of Gayo Coffee as Aceh's leading commodity and its potential for product diversification as a creative business opportunity. This community service program aimed to strengthen the cross-cultural entrepreneurial competencies of Thailand Summer Camp participants through a workshop on producing Gayo Coffee-based mochi. The program employed Participatory Learning and Experiential Learning approaches, including lectures, demonstrations, hands-on group practice, discussions, and evaluation sessions. The results indicated that participants improved their understanding of the characteristics and economic value of Gayo Coffee, acquired practical skills in producing coffee mochi, and enhanced their ability to collaborate within multicultural teams. In addition to improving entrepreneurial knowledge and practical skills, the workshop broadened participants' perspectives on utilizing local resources as innovative and value-added products with entrepreneurial potential. Therefore, the Gayo Coffee-based mochi workshop can serve as an effective learning medium for strengthening cross-cultural entrepreneurship while promoting Aceh's flagship local product to the international community.

Abstract

The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has opened up new possibilities for transforming the nature of teaching; however, empirical data on how physical education teachers can implement and integrate GenAI into their work is still lacking. This study aims to investigate how physical education teachers adopt GenAI in their teaching practices, focusing on their perceptions, usage patterns, and experiences, based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). This was conducted using open-ended and closed-ended questionnaires with 66 physical education teachers from Aceh Tengah Regency, Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Besar Regency, and Banda Aceh City in Indonesia. The UTAUT-based questionnaire, consisting of six constructs and open-ended questions, was used to collect data. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and qualitative responses were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate positive adoption of GenAI and, in particular, behavioral intentions and performance expectations. ChatGPT, Gemini, and MetaAI were the most popular, as they are most accessible and widely known. Furthermore, this study identified a three-phase GenAI instructional integration consisting of pre-teaching activities, such as lesson planning, materials development, and assessment preparation; in-teaching activities, such as visual learning support, content organization, and the use of multimedia materials; and post-teaching activities, such as reporting, documentation, and program management. These findings suggest that GenAI is now more of a supplementary technology and has potential as an instructional and administrative tool in the teaching process.
