Abstract

Background: Labor is the process of delivering a baby that occurs in full-term pregnancy (37-42 weeks). One of the efforts to reduce anxiety during labor is to provide support from a significant person, a husband. Husban’s support in labor process is a source of strength for woman who cannot be replaced by health personnel. Objective: To identify the relationship between husband’s support and anxiety level during labor on primigravida at Mlati II Health Center Sleman. Methods: This study was descriptive quantitative, with cross sectional approach. The samples were 20 respondents who were selected withaccidental sampling technique. Research employed questionnairesto measure husband’s support and mother’s anxiety level. Study used univariable and bivariable analysis. Result: Most of the husband's support during labor on primigravida at Mlati II Health Center Sleman were at high category (75.0%). The majority of mothers experienced mild anxiety (50.0%). The relationship between husband’s support and anxiety during childbirth in primigravida mother at Mlati II Health Center Sleman district was at strong category; r = -0.632 (.600 to .799). Conclusion : There was a relationship between husbands’ support andprimigravida mothers’ anxiety level during labor at Mlati II Health Center Sleman.

Abstract

Background: Puberty is a crucial time where a child has a rapid growth physically, psychologically and emotionally. The children who are ready to face the puberty will appear confident and comfort, on the other hand those who have difficulty to face the puberty will appear insecure and not confident. The parents’ support hoped helped the children to be ready to face the puberty. Objectives: To determine the relation between parents’ support and children readiness to face the puberty of the student in 5th year and 6th year of Elementary School 1 Reco, Kertek, Wonosobo. Methods: This research is descriptive analitic with cross sectional. The sample were taken by total sampling pairing, which took all the 68 students and their parents of 5th and 6th year of Elementary School 1 Reco, Kertek, Wonosobo. The used instrument is questionaire whose validity and realibility has already tested. The used data analizing is chi square, with significance α=0,05. Result: The support of the parents are in good range,the support of the family in facing physical change 57,4%, psychological 73,5% and sexually 41,2%. Most of the students of Elementary School 1 Reco, Kertek, Wonosobo about 67,6% are ready to face the puberty. Conclusion:A positive and significant relation are found bertween the support of the parents and the children readiness to face the puberty, it is based on significantcy p=0,000<0,05 with the strength of the relation is average (C=0,454) in phsical changes, significantcy p=0,003<0,05 with the strength of the relation is average (C=0,379) in psychosocial changes, and in sexual changes with the strength of the relation is average (C=0,553). Suggestion: The children considered ready to face the puberty because that is a normal phase and every person will face it in their childhood, also the parents must support of their children to face the puberty. Abstract

Background: Baby massage is a massage performed with smooth palpation on the surface of a baby's skin, which aims to produce effects on nerves, muscles, respiratory system and blood circulation and lymph. When doing a preliminary study in Trimurti Village of Srandakan sub District, Bantul District, many parents of babies still did not know the benefits of baby massage and did not understand how to apply the correct massage independently. Objektive: The aim of this research is to determine the effect of health education about baby massage on the maternal behavior to massage her baby in Trimurti Village of Srandakan, Bantul, Yogyakarta 2011. Method: This was a quasi experimental study with a one group pretest-posttest study design. The study site was in Trimurti Village of Srandakan Bantul, Yogyakarta done in 2011. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with 32 respondents. Data analysis technique used McNemar Test with standard error (?) 0.05. Results: Maternal behavior to baby massage at the time of pretest was in majority not suitable with the technique with a score < 65 in 32 respondents, while the maternal behavior to baby massage at the time of posttest was in majority suitable with the technique with a score > 65 in 32 respondents. It was proven with McNemar Test showing the p-value = 0.000 (p<0.05). Conclusion: Health education about baby massage can increase on the maternal behavior in Trimurti Village, Srandakan, Bantul, Yogyakarta 2011.Mothers should broaden their insights about baby massage to enhance maternal behavior in applying baby massage techniques correctly to increase the baby?s growth and development. Abstract

Background : Causes of neonatal deaths aged 0-7 days was highest preterm birth and low birth weight that is equal to 35% . Several studies have shown that the interval of pregnancy can be a cause of low birth weight babies, especially in the short interval that is <2 years or the length of the interval> 4 years). Objective : Knowing the relationship with the incidence of pregnancy intervals of low birth weight babies (LBWB) in hospitals Panembahan Senopati Bantul in 2011 . Method : This methods was an observational study with cross-sectional survey. The collection of samples was done by using purposive sampling with a sample of as many as 66 post partum mothers who gave birth more than once. How to use data collection instruments observation sheet. Analysis of the data used is the analysis bivariable univariabel and analysis using Chi-square test with a significance level of p <0.05. Contingency coefficient 0.251 indicates that the close relationship between the interval of pregnancy with a low incidence of LBW . Results : Based on the results of the study interval-risk pregnancies occur LBW 43.9% and very low birth weight infants19.7%. Interval pregnancies at risk of low birth weight by 33.3% and very low birth weight infants 3.0%. The results of Chi-Square test analysis obtained significance value p-value is 0.035 (p <0.05) and the value of contingency coefficient of 0.251 indicates a low relationship closeness. Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between the incidence of pregnancy interval low birth weight babies (LBWB) in hospitals Panembahan Senopati Bantul in 2011. For mothers who are prepared to pay attention to pregnancy and pregnancy interval ANC checks on a regular basis so that no babies born with LBW B. Abstract

Background:The coverage of exclusive breast-feeding in Yogyakarta is only 40,57%, which is not in accordance with the target of 80% from the Ministry of Health. This is related to factors associated with formula feeding in infants aged 6-12 month, namely mothers’ education, knowledge, occupation, and income. Objective: This study aimed to determine the most dominant factor in the formula feeding in infants aged 6-12 months in Selo Posyandu. Methods:This study was a quantitative research, with cross-sectional design. The number of samples was 36 respondents from Selo posyandu. Instrument in this study was a questionnaire. Data were analysed using chi-square test and Kendall’s tau test with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: Factors associated with formula feeding was education (p=0.004), knowledge (p=0.001), income (p=0.029), employment status (p=0.003) and the multivariate test showed that the most dominant factor was mothers’ employment status. Conclusion: The most pertinent factor in the formula feeding in infants was mother's employment status. Keywords: baby 6-12 months, factors, formula feeding

Abstract

Background : Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood. Adolescence tend to want to learn new things so they appear to want to be double behavior, one of which is illicit sex. Based on preliminary studies conducted in SMAN 1 Sedayu obtained information some students do not understand the impact of free sex. They also lack knowledge about reproductive health. Objectives : The purpose of this studi to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about adolescent reproductive health attitudes toward sex in SMA N 1 Sedayu Bantul Yogyakarta. Methods : The&nbsp; method&nbsp; in&nbsp; this&nbsp; research&nbsp; is&nbsp; descriptive&nbsp; analytic&nbsp; with&nbsp; cross&nbsp; sectional&nbsp; approach. Samples were taken with quota sampling technique in which 168 students aged 16-18 years in SMAN 1 Sedayu. The research instrument was a question naireand the results were analyzed by Kendall Tau correlation formula. Results : The level of knowledge about&nbsp; adolescent&nbsp; reproductive&nbsp; health&nbsp; in SMAN1&nbsp; Sedayu&nbsp; Bantul&nbsp; mostly wellas 78 students (46.4%). Attitudes toward sex in SMA 1 Sedayu Bantul Yogyakarta Sedayu mostly positiveas many as 133 students (79.2%). The results of the correlation test of Kendall Tau obtained p- value of 0,000 &lt;a (0,05). Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge about adolescent reproductive health attitudes toward sex in SMAN 1 Sedayu Bantul, Yogyakarta. Abstract

Background: Hypertension in pregnancy is a disease that gets attention given the negative effects it has on both the mother and the fetus. Hypertension in pregnancy if not treated properly will develop into superimposed Preeclampsia along with the increase in gestational age. Massage with aromatherapy oil is a non-pharmacological therapy to reduce and maintain blood pressure in a range that can be tolerated by the body. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of a foot massage with lavender essential oil on reducing blood pressure in pregnant women with hypertension. Methods: The methodology used in this study was pre-experimental with the control group. Respondents consist of 15 pregnant women with hypertension who had been given blood pressure-lowering therapy, 8 people performed foot massage and 7 people made the control with accidental sampling technique. Massage with lavender essential oil conducted for 15-20 minutes every day for 7 days. Data were obtained by measuring blood pressure before and after the intervention, and then recorded into the observation sheet. The control group performed pressure measurements before and after given by blood pressure-lowering drugs, then analyzed by descriptive and bivariate statistical tests. Results: The results showed that the blood pressure difference before and after systole intervention was 6,52, diastole 0.82 in the control group of blood pressure difference before and after being given systole drug 7,902 diastole 4,847 Paired t-test results in the systole intervention group 0.340, diastole 0.40 and in the systole control group 0.068, diastole 0.137 (p = 0.05). Conclusion: The conclusion is the effect of a foot massage with lavender essential oil in pregnant women with hypertension. Suggestions for pregnant women with primary hypertension should do foot massage to help lower blood pressure. Keywords: Aromatherapy, foot massage,hipertension, lavender, pregnancy.
