Abstract

PT. ABC faces a quality control issue with a defect rate of 5.5%, resulting in customer complaints. This study aims to identify the types of defects in sheet film products, analyze their root causes, and evaluate quality control measures to reduce defects. The research uses Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor the production process and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to analyze potential failures in the production system. The SPC analysis revealed that the most frequent defects were ILK Defect (501 rolls), followed by Thickness Defect (188 rolls) and Scratch Defect (100 rolls). The root causes of defects were identified using a fishbone diagram, which pointed to Method, Material, Machine, and Man as the main factors. FMEA results indicated that the primary cause of defects was an issue with the hopper on the machine, which caused material transfer delays, leading to V-ILK and Thickness Defects. This study recommends improving machine maintenance, revising operational procedures, and enhancing operator training to reduce defects and improve product quality

Abstract

Drug abuse among Indonesian teenagers continues to rise and poses a significant challenge to the development of the nation's future generation. Limited knowledge about legal and health issues makes students vulnerable to the negative impacts of narcotics. This initiative aims to provide legal education and information on the medical effects of drugs to students at SMPN 1 Kopo, Garut. The outreach program was conducted face-to-face using an interactive approach, including presentations, educational videos, and two-way discussions. The results showed an increase in student participation and understanding of the dangers of drugs, as well as legal awareness. This activity demonstrates that a collaborative educational approach can build resilience among teenagers in facing environmental pressures and encourage the creation of change agents within the school environment. The program is expected to serve as the first step toward long-term collaboration between educational institutions, law enforcement agencies, and the community in preventive anti-drug efforts. It is hoped that with closer collaboration, the younger generation will be better educated and protected from the dangers of drugs, and will contribute to creating a healthier, drug-free environment. This program is also a model that can be applied in other schools as part of a broader effort to prevent drug abuse within the community. By strengthening the understanding of legal consequences and health risks, this program can also act as a preventive measure, fostering a safer environment for students and promoting greater community engagement in combating drug-related issues, ensuring a sustainable impact on the community’s future. It is essential for such initiatives to be continuously reinforced and expanded to reach more schools and communities, thereby creating a more extensive network of awareness and prevention.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara rawan bencana geologis, salah satunya letusan gunung berapi, yang menuntut adanya edukasi kebencanaan sejak usia dini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan konsep reaksi kimia sederhana melalui eksperimen simulasi gunung meletus sebagai bagian dari pendidikan sains kontekstual bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif-edukatif melalui eksperimen langsung di dua sekolah dasar di Kota Serang, dengan melibatkan 46 siswa dari kelas I dan IV. Eksperimen memanfaatkan bahan aman seperti soda kue, sabun, cuka, dan pewarna makanan yang dirancang dalam bentuk miniatur gunung meletus. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam antusiasme, partisipasi aktif, dan pemahaman konseptual siswa terhadap fenomena alam. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong keterampilan motorik halus, kemampuan observasi, serta komunikasi ilmiah dasar. Implementasi model Project Based Learning (PjBL) melalui eksperimen ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains dan membentuk sikap ilmiah siswa. Pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam menciptakan ekosistem pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, partisipatif, dan kontekstual untuk pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

The lack of knowledge of parents of students about the importance of education for the basis of a decent job and income in the future is the main thing in holding free tutoring at Tamansari Village, Pulomerak District, Cilegon City - Banten. This underlies the Lecturers and Students of the Community Work Lecture (KKM) at Bina Bangsa University, especially Group 72, to help efforts to increase learning motivation at the Elementary School (SD) level to participate in this activity enthusiastically. The method of implementing activities carried out using participatory, where participatory is a technique for managing the relationship of involvement of individuals in planning a number of activities for common goals and solutions. Several stages help increase learning motivation in the implementation of community service: (1) warming up before delivering material, namely providing learning motivation with inspirational stories, (2) presentation of material, (3) Questions and Answers, (4) Games and (5) giving gifts and praise . The results of the tutoring activities for each session are divided into 2 groups, adjusted to the grade level of each student (children). Group 1 consists of classes 1 to 3, while group 2 consists of classes 2 to 6. Prizes are given in the form of grades for group 1 with an average score of 85 and group 2 with an average score of 80. This shows that the material presented can be accepted by students

Abstract

The use of learning media is something that can provide an understanding of the concept of electricity in everyday life. The place of service is held at Taman Sari 1 Pulomerak State Elementary School. In the world of education in the current era, learning media can be an alternative teaching aid that is visually easy for students to understand. The implementation of community service consists of preparation, planning, implementation, and evaluation. As a result of this dedication, students learn enthusiastically in studying science in the form of magnetic electricity, where in everyday life magnetic electricity is always found. Training on the use of learning media is also expected to make teachers in elementary schools able to apply learning media in improving students' abilities in schools to make them more interactive and fun.
