Abstract

Participatory Action Research the development of a learning implementation plan characterized by pedagogical content knowledge is research involving chemistry teachers who directly experience the real conditions of learning. The resulting lesson plan is relevant to use in the same environment as the learning nature setting, for example online, offline, and blended. Device development is carried out through a cycle through at least four main steps; (1) RPP device development; (2) field tests; (3) evaluation; and (4) reflection. Input factors (input) in the development are: (1) the experience of teachers; (2) knowledge of the learning process; (3) theory and reflection methods; (4) scientific in educators; and (5) intuition and creativity of teachers. While the products produced are (1) 21st-century PCK lesson plans; (2) knowledge of 21st-century chemistry teaching; (3) Process Quality Improvement; (4) trained teachers; and (5) new concepts and teaching materials.

Abstract

Keterampilan problem-solving dan analisis siswa merupakan dua komponen keterampilan Abad-21 yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa. Dalam konteks pembelajaran kimia, interpretasi kemampuan problem-solving membuat siswa menjadi lebih efektif dalam menganalisis data kimia, membuat prediksi yang akurat, dan menemukan solusi yang tepat menyelesaikan tes pada Pacu Kimia 2023. Dengan menggunakan mix-method kuantitatif representasi data menggunakan aplikasi Winstep dengan pemodelan Rasch dan analisis kualitatif deskriptif, diperoleh interpretasi kemampuan problem-solving dan analisis kimia siswa SMA di Sulawesi Utara. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa siswa peserta tes dari SMA Manado Independent School memiliki tingkat keterampilan yang ekstem tinggi dibading siswa dari SMA lainnya. Studi ini menemukan bahwa, faktor fasilitas sekolah, adopsi kurikulum, inovasi model pembelajaran, media pembelajaran inovatif dan kreatif, faktor internal dan eksternal siswa, menjadi faktor penentu tingkat keterampilan problem-solving dan analisis kimia siswa SMA di Sulawesi Utara. Oleh karena itu, studi mendalam terhadap signifikansi faktor-faktor penentu temuan hasil studi perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui landskap pendidikan yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

The phenomenological method is being used in this qualitative research. Students at Universitas Negeri Manado used the TikTok program frequently while learning chemistry, according to data analysis employing paradigm interpretation. From the first to the third year, fifteen UNIMA Chemistry students participated in the study and served as informants to collect data. The research's primary and secondary data were gathered through in-person interviews and direct observation. The believability, transferability, dependability, and confirmability of the data were examined for quality. Data reduction, data display, and the process of drawing conclusions/verifying those conclusions were all steps in the processing of the data that Miles and Hubernan pioneered. Researchers came to the following conclusions based on their research: 1) Since the outbreak, TikTok has quickly surpassed YouTube, WhatsApp, and Zoom Meeting in terms of usage, becoming the most popular app; 2) TikTok content, which was previously only for entertainment, has migrated to learning media, including chemistry learning; 3) chemistry content in the form of videos based on experiments or practicums is able to hold students' attention; and 5) the TikTok application can be used as a media alternative in learning that is suitable for Gen Z students.

Abstract

This research investigates the level of politeness exhibited by Tabe in Bugis and Sumimasen in Japanese. The researchers do a contrastive analysis to examine the differences and similarities between Tabe in Bugis and Sumimasen in Japanese, which encompasses the act of begging and the pragmatic aspect of politeness. This research uses a contrastive descriptive qualitative methodology, in which the data consists of elaborate qualitative information rather than numerical values. This data is examined by using two distinct approaches, specifically descriptive and contrastive data analysis. The findings of this investigation in the term "tabe" holds significant symbolism in Bugis language and culture, serving as a means to kindly and respectfully request permission. By strategic use of "tabe" in appropriate circumstances, individuals can demonstrate profound gratitude and courtesy towards others, enhance social connections, and uphold societal harmony. Likewise, the use of "sumimasen" in Japan underscores cultural principles that emphasize courtesy, modesty, and social concord. The word is employed in several contexts to apologise, request assistance, or convey appreciation, and serves to sustain positive relationships and prevent conflict in daily contacts.

Abstract

Tingginya intervensi teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan dan beban kerja guru sekolah dasar yang tinggi serta tidak dibarengi dengan kemampuan teknologi yang memadai menyebabkan rendahnya kualitas pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknologi media pembelajaran guru melalui pelatihan dan adopsi modul interaktif berbasis AI. Guru-guru sekolah dasar di Kota Tomohon menjadi populasi penelitian, dan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sampel yang dipilih adalah kelompok guru Pinaras sebanyak 22 orang, dan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan analisis kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data berupa angka-angka melalui pre-test dan post-test guru. Data yang terkumpul diukur dan diinterpretasikan dalam bentuk Person Map yang menggambarkan bagaimana interaksi antara guru dengan jenis teknologi yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran, kemudian dianalisis dengan Rasch Model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai efektivitas sebesar N-Gain=0,95. Hasil analisis Person Map juga menunjukkan bahwa fitur yang memiliki pemahaman lebih rendah adalah otomatisasi tugas khususnya dalam pembatasan respon dan due date tugas. secara keseluruhan, modul interaktif berbasis AI menjadi solusi efektif bagi guru untuk menghadapi pendidikan digital saat ini.

Abstract

This research is a preliminary research on the correlation of teacher creativity in the era of 5.0 on chemistry learning achievement and students' argumentation skills which will be continued into a more complete research. The ultimate goal to be achieved from this research is to find out the correlation of teacher creativity on chemistry learning achievement and students' argumentation skills. This research uses a descriptive analysis method, which is research that uses descriptive data results obtained from existing data. This type of research conducted by collecting several sources relevant to the topic discussed in order to obtain valid data to support this research. Teacher creativity during learning is proven to improve chemistry learning achievement and students' argumentation skills. Chemistry is an abstract, real, tiered science and cannot be learned directly, so there needs to be the right technique in learning chemistry. The result of the research showed that the teacher creativity in designing learning, choosing the right methods and media can make it easier for students to understand the material and help students improve their argumentation skills.

Abstract

The study aims to explore the role of teacher creativity and the availability of laboratories in performing chemical experiments to enhance the students' critical thinking abilities in high schools. Research methods used include the study of literature by collecting data from sources that are relevant to the topic and analysing it using descriptive and qualitative methods. Research shows that teacher creativity and the availability of laboratory facilities play a crucial role in the institution of effective chemical programs in high school, which aim to enhance students' critical thinking abilities. The faculty's ability to devise practicality and teach chemical concepts helps students better understand the material and train their critical thinking skills. In addition, adequate laboratory facilities enable students to experiment directly and experience practical chemical concepts, which support their understanding of the material.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat “Pelatihan Sabun Herbal Berbasis Green Chemistry Bagi Kelompok Lansia di Tomohon Selatan” bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas fisik dan emosional lansia di Lansot, serta menjadi solusi usaha ekonomis dan kontribusi kesehatan global. Studi pendahuluan menunjukkan kejenuhan tinggi (76%) di antara lansia pasca pensiun, dengan satu-satunya kegiatan rutin adalah ibadah mingguan di gereja. Program ini memanfaatkan minyak kelapa hasil olahan masyarakat setempat dan tanaman bangun-bangun (Coleus amboinicus L.) yang melimpah di daerah tersebut untuk pelatihan pembuatan sabun herbal selama delapan minggu. Produk sabun herbal cair yang dihasilkan bebas dari Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), aman untuk segala usia, dan menggunakan bahan alami sebagai pewarna dan pewangi. Pelatihan dilakukan dua kali seminggu dengan produksi dan pengemasan oleh kelompok lansia. Monitoring dan evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan emosi positif peserta sebanyak 86% dan perubahan lansia yang non-produktif menjadi produktif secara ekonomi. Keberlanjutan program mencakup produksi sabun herbal sebagai UMKM reguler dengan dukungan promosi dari kelurahan dan bantuan tenaga kerja dari remaja gereja. Program ini juga meningkatkan kesadaran konsumen mengenai manfaat sabun herbal berbasis green chemistry. Tantangan berupa kurangnya tenaga kerja berhasil diatasi, dan program ini memberikan dampak positif bagi kesehatan pengguna dan lingkungan, meningkatkan aktivitas fisik, kebahagiaan hidup, dan penghasilan ekonomi lansia melalui kolaborasi dengan remaja gereja dan pihak Kelurahan Lansot.
