Abstract

Rapid industrial growth worldwide, especially in Indonesia, has posed threats to the environment and public health. Environmental pollution is mainly caused by domestic wastewater generated from households, businesses, and residential areas. Types of domestic wastewater that need attention include human feces or waste, urine, detergents, soaps, and food scraps. Wastewater pollution from households has become increasingly critical due to the rise in household activities and urbanization in Indonesia. To address the issue of household wastewater pollution, efficient wastewater management systems and increased public awareness are necessary. The implementation of filtration technology is a crucial solution to maintain water quality. Filtration is a process of separating solid particles from liquids using filtering media or screens. The results of filtration can produce cleaner and safer water, and this technology continues to be developed to meet the demand for high-quality and safe water. This experiment aims to create a simple filtration bottle using recycled materials and demonstrate its effectiveness in reducing the content of household wastewater. The filtration process resulted in a 79.32% reduction in COD content, an 85% reduction in TSS content, and a 91.3% reduction in turbidity. By utilizing recycled materials and efficient filtration technology, it can help mitigate the negative impact of domestic wastewater on the environment. In conclusion, the utilization of recycled materials as a simple filtering tool can reduce the content of household wastewater and contribute to maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The awareness and participation of the community in using this filtering tool can have a greater positive impact on the environment.

Abstract

Simulation plays a crucial role in increasing customer satisfaction and strengthening long-term relationships. Focusing on speed and convenience of service, as well as efficient management is essential in business strategy. Understanding customer characteristics and applying technology supports service efficiency. The method in this research is observation, where the results of the observation become the basis for analysis and decision making. This research aims to compare simulation methods between existing models using Arena and alternatives using Flexim. Based on the results of the t-test, with the hypothesis of testing the significance of the differences between the two models. Based on t-alpha analysis and t-test statistical tests on data processing using the data analysis feature in Ms. Excel, it was found that the critical limit for a 2-sided acceptance chart is +-0.9861. The t-test result of 0.9814 is in the acceptance area, supporting the statistical sustainability of the model with the observation results. Thus, it can be concluded that the data can accept Ho and the system is considered valid. The recapitulation shows that service 3 in Alternative 1 has the highest sales, but with a longer stay time. Alternative 1 on service 1 has the fastest stay time. The existing model has an even distribution without distinguishing the number of goods purchased. The result of using the existing model with the arena is replication in the range 60-769 seconds with the number of queues in the range 77-409 seconds. Meanwhile, using flexsim on the existing model gets a queue time on 10 replication models of around 66-70 seconds. Based on the results of observation data, it shows that the queue time range is 112-115 seconds. Therefore, flexsim data is also considered invalid because the time span is quite different. So, it can be concluded that the existing service and queue models are good.

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs) adalah peningkatanpertumbuhan ekonomi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan, serta layak danpeluang kerja yang komprehensif bagi seluruh anggota masyarakat. Pertumbuhan ekonomi produktif suatu daerah dapat dievaluasiberdasarkan tingkat kemiskinan setiap tahun di wilayah tertentu. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk menentukan tren probabilitas jangka panjang mengenaiangka kemiskinan di Indonesia berdasarkan data tahun 2012 hingga tahun 2023. TheMetode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Discrete Time Markov Chain (DTMC).Berdasarkan analisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan tersebut, diketahui bahwaKemungkinan penurunan tingkat kemiskinan di Indonesia dalam jangka panjang adalah0,697, dan sebaliknya, probabilitas peningkatan kemiskinanangka di Indonesia adalah 0,303. Oleh karena itu, dapat dikatakan bahwakemungkinan penurunan jumlah penduduk miskin di masa depan adalah69,7%.

Abstract

Masalah kependudukan di Jepang dianggap sebagai masalah yang mendesak karena rendahnya angka kelahiran, tingginya peningkatan angka harapan hidup, banyaknya migrasi, dan tingginya biaya hidup. Pemerintah Jepang telah melakukan berbagai upaya untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Dalam upaya tersebut, diperlukan model prediktif yang dapat terus diperbarui dengan menggunakan data berurutan untuk mengetahui kemungkinan penurunan atau peningkatan populasi dalam periode tertentu. Penelitian ini berupaya mengidentifikasi arah tren, kemungkinan terjadinya tren, dan kemungkinan durasinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah DTMC. Berdasarkan perhitungan dengan pendekatan ini, diperkirakan jumlah penduduk akan menurun dalam 17 tahun ke depan dengan probabilitas 0,773 dan meningkat dengan probabilitas 0,267, mengacu pada data historis tahunan jumlah penduduk Jepang dari tahun 2000 hingga 2022.

Abstract

An effective learning process to produce quality education requires supporting facilities such as adequate practicum media, Industrial Engineering Universal University currently has limitations with practicum media, especially in the introduction of industrial engineering manufacturing tools, therefore alternative media such as AR technology are needed. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of learning and the overall quality of education from the application of AR-based applications. The application of this technology can be developed using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method through several stages. The development results were randomly tested on 40 respondents by applying three indicator features and five statements used and obtained presentation values ranging from 78% to 81% user satisfaction before the application with strong presentation. While from the results of the analysis carried out on each indicator used, the first stage with the highest percentage is Usability, followed by functional indicators and user interface indicators at the lowest percent.

Abstract

Kurangnya perhatian terhadap kebersihan lingkungan tempat tinggal akan menimbulkan banyak dampak negatif bagi warga yang tinggal di suatu pemukiman atau kawasan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan dan mengurangi penyebab perubahan iklim, berdasarkan tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan bersama. Upaya tersebut diwujudkan dalam bentuk kegiatan aksi bersih sebagai wujud kepedulian sosial terhadap lingkungan di kawasan pesisir pantai, Kelurahan Agas, Kota Batam. Mekanisme pengelolaan sampah dilakukan dengan mengurangi tumpukan sampah rumah tangga yang timbul dalam jangka waktu tertentu oleh masyarakat desa itu sendiri. Kegiatan aksi bersih ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal yang dipadukan dengan kolaborasi masyarakat lokal dan relawan peduli lingkungan dari Hari Kebersihan Sedunia dan lembaga sosial. Hasil dari pengabdian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengelolaan sampah yang dilakukan antara lain mengurangi tumpukan sampah plastik jenis PET, HDPE, PS dan LDPE seberat 159,5 kg dari 4 titik pengumpulan sampah. Sedangkan proses penanganan sampah hanya dilakukan sampai tahap pemilahan sampah di tempat pembuangan sampah sementara untuk dijual atau digunakan kembali secara fungsional.

Abstract

Purchasing activities are activities that need to be carried out by the community to meet the needs of life. Vegetarian restaurants are one of the businesses that sell food needs. However, during the purchase process there is a level of satisfaction from consumers. These levels are influenced by various factors or criteria. The purpose of this study is to measure and rank the recommended vegetarian restaurant rankings and the criteria that affect the purchase process using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results of this study are Cafe Abang restaurant (A1) with a weight value of 0.379, the second place is the Kedai Bo Bak restaurant (A3) with a weight value of 0.25, the Sweet Veggie restaurant (A2) is in third place with a weight value of 0.191, and RM. Healthy Vegetarian (A4) with a weight value of 0.18. While the criteria for food and beverage menu prices (C3) with a weight value of 0.311, the second place is the operational time criterion (C4) with a weight value of 0.228, the third place is with the restaurant location distance criterion (C5) with a weight value of 0.216, the fourth place is with the number of food and beverage menu variants (C1) with a weight value of 0.153,  and ranked fifth with the criterion of the number of restaurant facilities (C2) with a weight value of 0.092.

Abstract

The prospect of success of a manufacturing project is determined by the results of feasibility tests such as investment and operations. In its implementation, the feasibility test is often constrained by several things such as data entry errors, calculation errors, and a long calculation time. The ideal solution that can be used to solve these three obstacles is to design an offline and stand-alone desktop-based feasibility calculation application. This research uses the SDLC Waterfall method and User Acceptance Test (UAT) based on questionnaires and scenario tests. In the design and coding completion phase, the SDLC waterfall approach is combined with generative AI to speed up the application design time. As a result, a calculation application named Manufurrt has been created with an interactive executable file format and is able to provide the same calculation results between the expected spreadsheet and the real calculation results from the application.

Abstract

Distribusi gas LPG 3 Kg memerlukan perencanaan rute yang efisien untuk menekan biaya operasional, menghemat waktu, dan meningkatkan keamanan pengiriman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pemilihan rute terpendek distribusi gas LPG 3 Kg dengan menerapkan Algoritma Sweep berbasis Python pada kasus Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP). Data yang digunakan meliputi lokasi pelanggan, jarak antar titik, dan kapasitas angkut truk. Algoritma Sweep digunakan untuk mengelompokkan pelanggan berdasarkan sudut polar relatif terhadap depot, dilanjutkan dengan penentuan urutan kunjungan yang meminimalkan jarak tempuh sambil memenuhi batas kapasitas kendaraan. Hasil optimasi menunjukkan bahwa metode ini mampu menghasilkan tiga rute distribusi dengan total jarak tempuh 98,7 km, mengalami pengurangan sebesar 26,18 km atau sekitar 21% dibandingkan kondisi awal yang mencapai 124,88 km. Selain itu, jumlah armada dapat ditekan menjadi tiga truk tanpa melanggar batas kapasitas angkut. Implementasi berbasis Python memungkinkan proses penghitungan dan pemodelan rute dilakukan secara cepat, akurat, dan dapat diulang untuk berbagai skenario distribusi.
