Abstract

Indonesia holds a key role as host of the G20 Presidency in 2022. Many international media highlighted this summit and the issues that has been discussed inside.As a world economic forum, G20 Presidency in Indonesia also reviewed about the international security issue, one of it is nuclear weapon threat. This study identifies, analyze, and compares the content produced by Indonesia (Kompas.com), United Kingdom (BBC.co.uk), and Saudi Arabia’s online news media (aawsat.com), surrounding the frame of nuclear weapons issue on G20 Forum. The study utilizes the framing analysis model of Zhondang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, to explain the message that communicated by the three countries related on nuclear weapon issue on G20 summit. The major findings clearly captured that every media adopted different rhetorical frames through the media coverage of the G20 Presidency in Indonesia. Related on nuclear weapon issue, Indonesian media imply a neutral approach, different with UK’s media that used straightforward approach or Saudi’s media with interior approach.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab sangat penting bagi anak usia dini, terutama untuk memperdalam pemahaman mereka terhadap pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan bagian dari program KKN dengan Mitra di TK NU Nawa Kartika XIX Majasem yang berlangsung selama 1 bulan. Program KKN adalah kegiatan yang dilakukan mahasiswa untuk membantu guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di dalam dan luar kelas melalui pemanfaatan dan pengembangan media informasi teknologi. Salah satu media yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah media puzzle, yang dirancang untuk menghadirkan pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Arab secara interaktif dan menyenangkan. Melalui media puzzle, siswa dapat belajar sambil bermain, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan keterlibatan mereka dalam pembelajaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa dengan media ini berhasil menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih dinamis dan memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi Bahasa Arab. Media ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif untuk diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah lain.

Abstract

Arabic Camp is a short Arabic language course program held by the Center for Education and Training (pusdiklat), University of Darussalam Gontor. This program was carried out to enhance students' speaking skills. However, the program seemed to face obstacles when dealing with students’ spelling skills (imla'). Most students can speak good Arabic but struggle to write basic Arabic words according to its rules. Early studies suggested that the Center has yet to have well-established teaching material for Imla’. Hence, this article aimed to design and find its effectiveness in improving students' spelling skills. Research & Development (R&D) methodology and used five instruments were used to collect data such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documents. In analyzing data, Paired Sample t-Test is used. The procedures started with the literature review, planning, designing, validating, and experiment. The results of this research were the teaching materials in the form of a textbook. This study also suggested that the textbook validity is in good grade with a percentage score of 84.65%, meaning that the designed materials can be used with some modification and correction. As for its effectiveness, the Sig. (2-tailed) result is (0,000) < (less than) (0,005). It means that the textbook effectively improves students' spelling skills. In conclusion, the current study underscores a collective push towards innovative teaching materials in enhancing language education.

Abstract

Arabic plays a vital role in the lives of Muslims, as it is the language of the Qur'an, the primary guideline for worship. However, the lack of engaging learning methods for early childhood hinders the introduction of Arabic. This study aims to introduce Arabic to children through a fun learning medium, the songbook Ghina' al-'Arabiy Lil-Athfal. This research is a community service research project based on simple experiments. The subjects were children of Muslimat NU Nawa Kartika XIX Kindergarten in Ponorogo. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used were observation guidelines and student response questionnaires. Data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed that the use of Arabic songbooks adapted to early childhood development, accompanied by interactive learning methods and physical movement, can increase children's enthusiasm and motivation in learning Arabic. The conclusion of this study indicates that Arabic song media is effective in introducing Arabic to children in a fun way. The implications of this study are the importance of innovative learning media based on culture and child development in early childhood education, especially in the introduction of foreign languages such as Arabic.

Abstract

Corpus linguistics is a well-established field in language learning, studied by experts in the field, and has continued to develop significantly with the advancement of digital technology in the era of Industry 4.0. In Arabic language learning in Indonesia, the use of corpus linguistics remains low, as does its application in the development of bilingual Indonesian-Arabic dictionaries across various fields. However, the need for an Indonesian-Arabic bilingual dictionary is an ongoing necessity for Arabic learners in Indonesia, especially for non-native speakers. Based on this, this study aims to provide an overview of the design research for the Dictionary of Social Media Research as an Indonesian-Arabic bilingual dictionary in the field of Social Media Research, utilizing the SketchEngine application for corpus-based data processing and vocabulary development (entries and lemmas). This dictionary will be used by Communication Science students at UNIDA Gontor or other Arabic learners as a learning tool for Arabic. The research method used in this study is qualitative, providing a descriptive analysis through a corpus linguistic approach to the design of the Dictionary of Social Media Research as an Indonesian-Arabic. The study finds that the design of the Indonesian-Arabic bilingual dictionary using the corpus linguistic approach can be optimally executed, producing the most frequently used vocabulary in the field of social media research.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab pada anak usia dini memiliki peran penting dalam memperkenalkan dasar-dasar agama Islam, terutama karena Bahasa Arab adalah bahasa Al-Qur'an. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi guru dan siswa di TK Dharma Wanita Ngrayudan 1 dalam memperkenalkan Bahasa Arab melalui media lagu-lagu yang dikemas dalam buku Ghina’ul Athfal. Metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) digunakan dalam penelitian ini, melibatkan 32 siswa dan 3 guru. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran berbasis lagu dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, mempermudah hafalan kosakata dasar Bahasa Arab, dan menumbuhkan kecintaan terhadap bahasa tersebut. Selain itu, guru-guru juga diberdayakan untuk menerapkan metode serupa secara mandiri di masa mendatang. Program ini diharapkan dapat diteruskan oleh para guru sehingga pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di TK dapat berlangsung secara berkelanjutan dan lebih efektif.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan pada anak anak dusun nglencer desa Setono dalam upaya membentuk generasi yang berjiwa islami dan qur’ani. Lemahnya pengetahuan baca tulis Alquran anak-anak di desa Setono dusun nglencer Kecamatan Ngrambe Kabupaten Ngawi menjadi perhatian bagi mahasiswa KKN Tematik UNIDA Gontor untuk melakukan kegiatan PkM di desa tersebut. Selain itu, kurangnya tenaga pendidik yang bisa mengajarkan baca tulis Alquran menyebabkan kurangnya kemampuan baca tulis Alquran yang dimiliki oleh anak-anak di desa tersebut. pembelajaran baca Alquran haruslah dilakukan sejak dini sebagai bekal kehidupan di dunia dan akhiratnya. Upaya yang dilakukan yaitu dengan melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran baca tulis Al-qur’an yang dilaksanakan secara rutin. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan mengikutsertakan masyarakat dilingkungan sekitar.
