Abstract

Technological developments require teaching staff to adapt to avoid gaps in information and digital technology knowledge between teaching staff and students because this gap can affect the success of the teaching and learning process. This training was carried out to increase the knowledge and abilities of teaching staff in the field of information technology. This activity begins with the planning stage by determining the needs and location of implementation. This activity was carried out at the YPKK Limbung Vocational School, Gowa Regency. In the preparation stage, the material is prepared based on needs, namely discussing learning strategies using information technology and using the Canva, Powtoon and ChatGPT applications. The target participants for this training are 40 people consisting of teaching staff and education staff. Evaluation is carried out through discussions and questions and answers at each material session. Based on the results of the activity, 38 participants attended. Participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in the training which could be seen from the participants' activeness in discussions and questions and answers. It is hoped that the discussion of topics related to the use of information technology will be able to increase the knowledge and abilities of teaching staff in using technology, especially in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The simultaneous operation of radar and communication systems over the same frequency band causes severe mutual interference, especially in multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scenarios. Most existing radar–communication coexistence schemes rely on instantaneous channel state information, which is difficult to acquire accurately in fast-varying environments and leads to high signaling overhead and computational complexity. This paper investigates a robust joint beamforming framework for multi-user MIMO radar–communication coexistence systems based exclusively on statistical channel state information. The objective is to improve the achievable ergodic sum rate of communication users while preserving radar operational requirements under transmit power and coexistence constraints. By exploiting long-term channel statistics and large-system analysis, a deterministic approximation of the ergodic sum rate is derived, enabling low-complexity beamforming design without requiring instantaneous channel knowledge. To address imperfections in statistical CSI estimation, a worst-case robust optimization framework is developed, and an efficient alternating optimization algorithm is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed robust beamforming scheme significantly outperforms non-robust statistical-CSI-based approaches, achieves performance close to instantaneous-CSI-based benchmarks, and maintains robustness against statistical CSI uncertainty while effectively managing the trade-off between communication performance and radar interference.

Abstract

Freshwater aquaculture requires continuous water quality monitoring because rapid changes in temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, total dissolved solids, and water level can affect fish health and pond productivity. This study evaluates a multimodal sensor system for real-time fish pond water quality monitoring and dashboard-based actuator control. The system integrates six sensors with Arduino Mega for signal acquisition, ESP32 for Wi-Fi communication, Firebase for cloud data storage and command exchange, and a Flutter dashboard for visualization and manual control. Field testing was conducted in two tilapia ponds with different initial conditions. Sensor performance was evaluated by comparing five measurable parameters with reference instruments using percentage error, accuracy, mean absolute error, and root mean square error, while turbidity was assessed through functional contrast testing and short-term stability because a turbidity reference instrument was unavailable. The average accuracy of the five validated parameters was 87.37% in pond 1 and 95.58% in pond 2. Temperature and water level showed the highest accuracy, above 98% in both ponds. Dissolved oxygen and total dissolved solids showed larger deviations, especially in pond 1, indicating sensitivity to field conditions and calibration stability. Actuator commands for the aerator and circulation pumps responded within 1-2 seconds under stable network conditions. The results show that the system is useful as a preliminary field-validated monitoring and semi-automatic control platform, but further work is required for long-term drift testing, turbidity validation using a commercial meter, and automatic control evaluation.

Abstract

Mastery of information technology by women is a key factor in enhancing economic independence in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the impact of computer training on women's economic empowerment through the improvement of digital skills. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, conducted at the Non-Formal Education and Training Center (LKP) YPA Handayani Bulukumba. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving eight female alumni, one instructor, and one training manager. The findings reveal that computer training significantly increased participants’ digital competence from 25–45% to 75–90%, and 75% of the alumni successfully applied their digital skills to establish small businesses in document services, digital design, and printing. Furthermore, participants’ average income increased by 55%, accompanied by higher self-confidence and active social participation in technology-based economic activities. The implications of this study indicate that non-formal computer training can serve as an effective strategy to build an inclusive and sustainable digital entrepreneurship ecosystem at the local level.
