Abstract

Microgreen Cultivation of sunflower is part of indoor farming that is currently being developed. Cultivating in indoor farming requare LED lights as a light source to replace sunlight. This study aims to obtain the best LED lamp power and irradiation time for the growth and yield of sunflower microgreens. This research was conducted in Natar from December 2021 until February 2022. Experimental design was used Split Plot Design (RAL) with two-treatment which was repeated 3 times. The main plot is the time of irradiation (6, 10, and 14 hours). The subplots are lamp power (8, 10, and 12 watts). Observation parameter included germination, plant height, width and number of leaves, root length, chlorophyll of leaf, fresh weight, dry weight. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and continued with the 5% BNT test. The results of this study showed that treatment of irradiation time was not significantly different in all observation parameters. And treatment of lamp powers was not significantly different in all observed parameters except plant height and chlorophyll of leaf. The treatment of 8 watt and 10 watt LED lamp power give the best results on plant height observation, which was 11.71 cm and chlorophyll of leaf which was 29.18 units. There no was interaction between irradiation time and LED light power on all observation parameters.

Abstract

Organic chili cultivation has become a necessity nowadays as awareness increases about the dangers of chemical residues used in conventional cultivation practices. Chili is one of three main of vegetables commodities in Lampung. However, pepper yellow leaf curl disease is still a major obstacle faced by farmers to increase chili productivity. Therefore, the aim of this research is to study the characteristics of symptoms and the incidence rate of pepper yellow leaf cull disease of Capsicum annuum L. and Capsicum frutescens in organic cultivation practice. The results shown that the characteristics or early symptoms of pepper yellow leaf curl disease on chilies are yellowing of young leaves, mosaic and malformation which are found in C. annuum L and C. frutescens. The intensity of disease attacks on chili plants by giving POC from the Mimosa pudica roots (PM) gave positive efect with an average low attack intensity in the 8th week, namely 32% compared to giving POC from bamboo roots (AB) with an average attack intensity 45.5%. This indicates that POC from the roots of Mimosa pudica (PM) is capable of being a bioprotectant for chili plants. The application of POC type 3 also provided a positive response with a low intensity of pepper yellow leaf curl disease on C. frutescens.

Abstract

ABC mix biological hydroponic nutrition is an innovation by developing the AB Mix hydroponic nutrition formulation (based on 100% chemicals) in collaboration with Liquid Organic Biofertilizer/LOB from LOB Plant PT. Great Giant Pineapple (PT.GGP). This invention is created in order to solve the problem of industries that want to produce hydroponic nutrients based on liquid organic biological fertilizer to reduce the concentration of chemicals in hydroponic nutrients. The aim of this invention are (1) to develop hydroponic nutrient products consisting of chemical fertilizers and biological fertilizers so that the use of chemicals can be reduced, (2) to produce patents granted regarding hydroponic nutrition based on chemical fertilizers and biological fertilizers, and (3) to apply the results of the invention to society and industry that requires the invention. The ABC Mix biological hydroponic nutrition product already has a patent with number IDS000006120 and has been implemented at Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School 606 through community service activities.

Abstract

Cauliflower is a vegetable with high economic value. However cauliflower production was decrease caused by crop failure resulting, pest and deseasse attack. Decrease of Cauliflower production related to soil fertility. One of attempts to overcome this problem is combining NPK fertilizer and setting of plant spacing to increase cauliflower production in Indonesia. The aims of this research is Firts: Determine the most effective dose of NPK fertilizer for growth and yield cauliflower, Seccond: Finding the optimal plant spacing to support growth and yield of cauliflower, and Third: indentifying best combinations of NPK fertilizer dosage and plant spacing to increasing growth and yield of cauliflower production. This research used a factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) by two factors: NPK fertilizer dose (0 g/plot, 5 g/plot, 10 g/plot dan 15 g/plot), plant spacing (40 x 45 cm, 50 x 45 cm, and 60 x45 cm). Results of this research show that aplication doses of NPK fertilizer provides best results at an NPK fertilizer dose of 10 g/plot. Application of plant spacing did not show significant differences throughout observed of all parameters. Additionally, no interactions from combination of NPK fertilizer dosage and plant spacing cauliflower.

Abstract

Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are horticultural crops with great potential to be developed to meet the needs and economic value of the community. Shallot production is influenced by fertilization, both inorganic and organic fertilizers. The objectives of this study were (1) to obtain the best dose of NPK fertilizer for the growth of shallots. (2) to obtain the best concentration of guano liquid organic fertilizer for the growth of shallots. (3) to obtain the best combination of NPK fertilizer doses and guano liquid organic fertilizer concentrations for the growth of shallots. This study was conducted on the horticultural experimental land of the Lampung State Polytechnic from June to August 2024. The research method used was a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor used NPK fertilizer (N) with 3 levels, namely: 400 kg/ha (N1), 600 kg/ha (N2), 800 kg/ha (N3). The second factor used POC (P) with 3 levels, namely: 2 ml/L (P1), 4 ml/L (P2), 6 ml/L (P3). Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that there were 9 treatment combinations and 27 experimental units. The results showed that the application of NPK fertilizer at a dose of 600 kg/ha showed the best results for all observation parameters except plant height and number of leaves. The application of POC Guano did not show significantly different results for all observation parameters. There was no best combination between NPK fertilizer and POC Guano treatment for all observation parameters.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of goat manure and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L.) of the Larisa F1 variety. The research was conducted from November 2024 to January 2025 using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of two factors: goat manure doses (10, 20, and 30 tons ha⁻¹) and NPK fertilizer doses (200, 400, and 600 kg ha⁻¹), resulting in nine treatment combinations with three replications. Observed variables included plant height, number of leaves, curd diameter, curd weight, fresh weight, and dry weight of plants. The results showed that both goat manure and NPK fertilizer significantly influenced several growth and yield parameters, including early-stage plant height, number of leaves, curd diameter, fresh weight, and dry weight. Goat manure at doses of 20–30 tons ha⁻¹ produced better growth and yield compared to the lowest dose, while increasing NPK fertilizer to medium and high levels contributed positively to vegetative development and biomass accumulation. No interaction between the two factors was observed.
