Abstract

The electricity source of the street vendor community in Taman Bekapai, Balikpapan City, depends on PLN sources, resulting in an electrical energy crisis. As well as the amount of investment that must be spent to build a cable system power grid is an obstacle. This service aims to implement 60 WP solar panel technology products with solar cell electricity generation integrated into street vendor cart storefronts as an environmentally friendly electricity operational cost efficiency. The method of implementing activities directly and limitedly pays attention to health protocols. The stages are: (1) implementing electricity source products from new energy for street vendor carts (2) technical and operational assistance for solar panel maintenance for traders, (3) accounting information management training as financial management of partner businesses, (4) evaluation and monitoring of the results of village development program activities. The result of this program is the availability of 1 (one) street vendor cart integrated with 60 WP/h solar panel technology as a source of electrical energy and lighting. The installation of these solar panels can reduce the trader's electricity operations with an efficiency of about 13-17%. In addition, there was a 56% increase in partner knowledge of venture management and a 70% increase in skills in using solar panels as an alternative source of electricity to merchant carts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the growth trend of covid-19 using prediction algorithms in data mining for covid-19 data throughout Indonesia. This can be used as a decision support to analyze several government policies towards regulatory intervention so far. The method used is the best prediction method in time series data, including Neural Network, SVM, Linear Regression, K-Neirest Neighborn and optimizes it with optimization algorithms. This research is focused on the application of these applications. It is hoped that this research will produce an analysis of the growth trend of Covid cases every day, in addition to its contribution so that it can assist the government in determining the best policy direction and also as an education to the public. in addition, the research will contribute to science in the field of predictive analysis by finding the best RMSE formulation. The results of this study show that Neural Network-Particle Swarm Optimization has the smallest Roort Mean Square Error which is 265,326, and the two Neural Network Genetic Algorithm are 266.801, Neural Network Forward Selection is 275,372 and Neural Network without optimization has the largest RMSE which is 297.204. These results can be used as a reference for the use of similar algorithms in time series data, both Covid-19 data and other data.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mengubah paradigma dalam penyimpanan dan akses terhadap informasi akademik. Dalam pengembangan sistem penyimpanan, permasalahan efektivitas dan efisiensi penyimpanan tugas akhir mahasiswa, serta kehandalan dan ketersediaan akses informasi muncul. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan rancang bangun web repository menggunakan CMS Eprints sebagai tempat penyimpanan dokumen akademik yang efektif dan efisien. Metode pengembangan System Development Life Cycle dengan model waterfall diterapkan. Data diperoleh melalui angket dan wawancara, melibatkan dosen sebagai validator dan mahasiswa sebagai pengguna akhir. Pengujian mengacu pada standar kualitas ISO/IEC 25010 yang mencakup functional suitability, usability, performance efficiency, dan portability. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan functional suitability mencapai 100%, menunjukkan pemenuhan kebutuhan fungsional sesuai penilaian dosen validator. Usability mencapai 89,72%, mencerminkan kelayakan yang sangat baik menurut mahasiswa sebagai pengguna akhir. Pengujian performance efficiency, dengan rata-rata semua halaman sebesar 77% dan waktu respon 2.4 detik, mencerminkan kinerja yang diterima dengan baik. Pengujian portabilitas menggunakan berbagai aplikasi browser dan perangkat berbeda mendapatkan hasil 100%, menegaskan akses yang luas dan konsisten dari berbagai platform. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa implementasi web repository dapat memenuhi kebutuhan penyimpanan di lingkungan akademik, meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas manajemen dokumen akademik, serta mendukung pengembangan pengetahuan dan keterbukaan informasi di kalangan mahasiswa dan dosen.

Abstract

The source of electricity for the Taman Tiga Generasi facility, a Green Open Space in the City of Balikpapan, is highly dependent on PLN sources, resulting in an electrical energy crisis. Also, not all parks have facilities and infrastructure such as benches for visitors to sit on. Community service aims to apply electric bench technology with solar cell electricity generation for parks and implement Appropriate Technology products for the community based on solutions to partner problems. This community service method considers the health protocol in which the process is carried out directly and is limited. The stages are (1) Application of solar cell electricity technology to provide electricity for garden facilities; (2) Training by service team for partners regarding the operation and maintenance of electrical bench products with solar cell power supply; (3) Counseling regarding the conservation of electrical energy for partners. This community service resulted in a multifunctional electric bench product as a seat, as a place to charge mobile electronic devices, and as a source of lighting for the garden area with a solar panel-based power supply. Community service activities as part of the realization of alternative solar cells for electricity generation in Indonesia in saving electrical energy.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement an innovative park bench that combines solar panel technology with the Arduino platform. The methodology of this research consists of designing the integration of solar panels with Arduino components that are assembled integrated on the physical bench. In the analysis phase, measurements of solar energy production were conducted under various light and weather conditions. The performance of the system in battery charging and fulfillment of energy needs was evaluated. Environmental data from Arduino sensors were analyzed to illustrate the effect of environmental conditions on system operation. The results showed that the solar bench produced higher energy during daytime and reduced during nighttime conditions. The system can supply energy for purposes such as lighting and charging electronic devices. The voltage and current data at night show inefficiency in charging the solar panel, while the cell phone charger condition works as long as the battery is above 15%. In addition, environmental analysis through Arduino sensors revealed a correlation between light intensity and energy production and usage. These findings can be used to optimize the operation of the smart bench system based on changing environmental conditions. In conclusion, this solar bench design has the potential to reduce environmental impacts and support the use of renewable energy in urban public spaces, with the potential to increase public awareness of sustainable energy

Abstract

Parking space management in metropolitan settings has become more difficult as a result of increased urbanization. To increase parking effectiveness, technological solutions like the Internet of Things (IoT) have been suggested. However, further research is still needed to fully understand the application of IoT in parking systems. This study focuses on the deployment of an Internet of Things-based smart parking system in Balikpapan City's Klandasan Parking Building. Our objective is to increase the effectiveness of parking use and eliminate the frequent parking spot shortage. In the Klandasan Parking Lot, we design and deploy an Internet of Things-based smart parking system. We evaluate the accuracy of infrared sensors, system response time, and parking efficiency before and after system implementation. The findings of our one-week test indicate that the smart parking system can accurately (with 100% sensor accuracy) and quickly (with an average reaction time of 7 miliseconds) detect parking availability. Additionally, the online application gives consumers another level of ease when it comes to getting data about parking availability and making payments. The findings of this study significantly advance our understanding of how IoT is being implemented in parking systems. As a result of this study, it may be possible to apply comparable ideas to urban parking issues on a larger scale

Abstract

Kualitas sinyal internet yang buruk menjadi permasalahan utama di banyak area, termasuk di TK Tunas Bangsa Terpadu, yang menghambat proses pembelajaran yang memerlukan koneksi internet yang stabil. Masalah ini disebabkan oleh sinyal yang lemah dari penyedia layanan yang tidak memadai untuk mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan antena microstrip patch elips pada frekuensi 2,3 GHz untuk meningkatkan kualitas sinyal internet. Sebagai solusi, antena dirancang menggunakan material FR4 epoxy dengan konfigurasi MIMO 2x2 dan MIMO 4x4 untuk memperkuat sinyal dan meningkatkan kapasitas jaringan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah simulasi antena menggunakan perangkat lunak CST Studio Suite 2019, diikuti dengan fabrikasi antena dan pengujian lapangan untuk mengukur kecepatan unduh, unggah, PING, dan jitter. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa antena MIMO 2x2 menghasilkan VSWR 1,91160, return loss -25,2379 dB, dan gain 2,304 dB, sementara MIMO 4x4 menunjukkan VSWR 1,87547, return loss -35,048 dB, dan gain 2,180 dB. Pengujian lapangan menunjukkan bahwa antena MIMO 2x2 mampu mencapai kecepatan unduh 9,627 Mbps dan unggah 0,304 Mbps, sedangkan MIMO 4x4 mencapai kecepatan unduh 10,924 Mbps dan unggah 0,342 Mbps. Meskipun kedua konfigurasi antena memberikan peningkatan yang signifikan, penggunaan MIMO 4x4 menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih optimal. Penelitian ini menyarankan penggunaan antena MIMO 4x4 sebagai solusi terbaik untuk memperkuat sinyal internet di lokasi dengan masalah sinyal yang lemah.

Abstract

As web services and applications become increasingly complex and user demand grows—especially with the rising number of students—the need for a reliable E-Learning system becomes critical. At Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan, the current E-Learning platform operates on a single server, leading to slow response times and potential server downtime under high traffic conditions. This study addresses the issue by implementing load balancing using two algorithms: Round Robin and Least Connection, across three web servers and one separate database server. Testing was conducted using Apache JMeter with 1000 requests per 10 seconds. Results show that the Least Connection algorithm outperformed Round Robin, achieving an average response time of 155.8ms, compared to 184.2ms. Compared to the single-server setup, the load-balanced system showed significant improvements in response time, error rate, concurrency, availability, upstream, and downstream metrics. CPU load was also reduced due to traffic distribution across multiple servers. This demonstrates that server resource optimization via load balancing can significantly enhance the overall performance of E-Learning services. These findings provide a strong foundation for more efficient and scalable IT infrastructure development and support better decision-making in managing high-demand educational platforms in the future

Abstract

Pengasutan sebagai eksitasi merupakan cara menghidupkan dan menggerakkan mesin listrik dalam kegiatan industri. Proses pengasutan mesin listrik untuk mendapatkan efisiensi daya maupun efisiensi torsi dengan menggunakan variable speed drive yang membutuhkan daya kecil tetapi menghasilkan torsi yang besar. Inverter ini mampu melakukan pengasutan mesin-mesin listrik satu fase maupun tiga fase. Pengasutan oleh inverter ini menghasilkan lonjakan arus listrik yang kecil dan kecepatan yang dihasilkan tidak membuat kerusakan pada mesin listrik maupun rangkaian driver dan penghubungnya. Namun demikian pengasutan inverter dapat dikendalikan secara full otomatis maupun setengah otomatis oleh rangkaian pengendali. Pengendalian setengah otomatis dilakukan oleh sistem relay dengan perpanduan kontaktor, sedangkan pengendalian dengan full otomatis dilakukan oleh Programmable Logic Control. Tujuan penelitian ini, mengaplikasikan teknologi mikrokontroler Arduino untuk menggantikan peran kontaktor dan PLC dalam pengoperasian mesin listrik. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa konsep pengendalian motor 3 phase menggunakan inverter VSD dan mikrokrontroller Arduino. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemakaian Arduino mampu mengendalikan start-stop, putaran maju, putaran mundur, serta mengendalikan kecepatan putaran motor yang biasanya dilakukan oleh PLC. Disamping itu, proses pengendalian dapat ditampilkan pada tampilan display.Kata Kunci: Pengendalian Inverter, Pengaturan Variabel Kecepatan, Arduino, Pengendalian Program Logika
