Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the importance of using E-LKPD in learning Indonesian. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach, namely describing and elaborating information related to the importance of using the E-LKPD in learning Indonesian. The data collection technique in this study was library research, namely collecting data related to research variables, namely LKPD and Indonesian language learning obtained from books, scientific articles, proceedings, websites and other reliable literary sources. The results of this study are that the use of E-LKPD in learning Indonesian is very important. This is seen from analyzes of the needs of E-LKPD in schools. Some of the things that cause the use of E-LKPD are needed in learning Indonesian are the lack of student interest in learning, the need for teaching materials that are still lacking, especially in text-based learning, the lack of teaching materials for use in distance learning, and the need for teaching materials in accordance with the demands of the curriculum and technological progress is still lacking. In addition, from studies related to the development of E-LKPD it can also be seen that the E-LKPD resulting from this development is valid and practical to use. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of E-LKPD is very important in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

This research began with various students' difficulties in maintaining cohesion and coherence when writing descriptive text. In addition, the use of appropriate vocabulary is also a significant problem. Students often use words that are not appropriate to the context or lack variety, so that their writing becomes monotonous and less interesting. These difficulties indicate that there is an urgent need to improve students' descriptive text writing skills through more effective and innovative learning approaches. This research is classified as an experimental type of research using a factorial design. Data was taken from 32 experimental class students and 32 control class students using descriptive text writing skills test instruments and learning motivation questionnaires. The results of the analysis and discussion in this research confirm that the Experiential Learning model is effective in improving descriptive text writing skills for both students with high and low learning motivation, so that the Experiential Learning model and learning motivation do not interact significantly with each other. These findings support the hypothesis that direct experience and critical reflection offered by the Experiential Learning model can enrich the learning process and improve descriptive text writing skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the Experiential Learning model is significantly more effective than conventional methods in improving descriptive text writing skills, regardless of whether students' levels of learning motivation are high or low. The implications of this research indicate that the use of experience-based learning models and increasing learning motivation can significantly improve students' writing skills.

Abstract

Novel “Pangeran Cilik” dipilih untuk dikaji lebih lanjut karena novel ini termasuk buku yang paling banyak diterjemahkan di seluruh dunia. Saint-Exupéry memasukkan nilai dan pengalaman manusia yang paling dasar, seperti kekuasaan, tanggung jawab, dan cinta lewat cerita dari seorang anak yang mengamati dunia dengan lugu. Novel ini juga tampaknya seolah cerita anak-anak, tetapi sebenarnya novel ini juga dapat dinikmati dan direnungkan oleh orang dewasa. Penulis novel ini mampu menyampaikan pesan moralnya dengan secara tersirat sehingga pembaca diperlukan untuk membaca setidaknya dua kali untuk memahami maksud dari si penulis. Tujuan pembaca menganalisis novel “Pangeran Cilik” yaitu untuk lebih mengapresiasi, menilai, dan mendalami karya sastra untuk mengetahui pesan moral di dalam novel “Pangeran Cilik”. Pembaca memilih pendekatan pragmatik untuk mengkaji novel yang berjudul “Pangeran Cilik” karya Antoine De Saint-Exupéry. Novel “Pangeran Cilik” karya Antoine De Saint-Exupéry ini merupakan novel bergenre fabel. Novel yang berisikan banyak moral ini mengajak pembaca untuk merenung dan mengambil pelajaran darinya.

Abstract

This research aims to provide an explanation of how slogans on billboards in Padang City are used and the different types of language used. This research used photographs as documentation. Qualitative descriptive method was used. The results show that slogans use simple and concise language. Most of the slogans do not change syntax and morphology. The aim is to help people remember the slogan. Slogans posted on billboards in Padang are mostly in Indonesian, most are in English, and some use both. Slogans also use regional dialects.

Abstract

Tuturan menjadi hal yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam menyampaikan sesuatu yang ingin dikatakan. Sehingga dapat memahami maksud yang diinginkan oleh penutur.  Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi untuk bisa menganalisis penokohan yang ada pada sebuah karya sastra melalui tindak tutur yang digunakan. Maka, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui tuturan direktif yang digunakan tokoh utama pada novel Hilda karya Muyassarotul Hafidzoh. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan cara membaca novel Hilda karya Muyassarotul Hafidzoh, serta teknik mencatat digunakan untuk merekam data yang telah dianalisis. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu berupa tindak tutur direktif yang digunakan oleh tokoh utama pada novel Hilda karya Muyassarotul Hafidzoh, yang dapat dijadikan acuan dalam menentukan bentuk penokohan yang terdapat pada tokoh utama.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Improving the quality of learning requires educators to adapt to innovative approaches, one of which is through gamification. This article aims to describe the implementation of gamification training for teachers in three schools (SMP N 1, 2, and 3 Batang Gasan) in Padang Pariaman Regency and analyze its impact on understanding, enthusiasm, perceptions of effectiveness, and the practice of applying gamification. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest design with 15 teachers as participants. The instrument, in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire, measured four main aspects, supplemented by an evaluation of training satisfaction. The four variables measured were understanding of gamification (scale 0–100), enthusiasm for innovation (scale 1–5), perception of the effectiveness of gamification (scale 1–5), and frequency of application of gamification techniques (scale 1–5). The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using a paired t-test. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in all variables. The gamification understanding score increased from 58.7 ± 6.4 to 84.5 ± 5.8 (t=12.37; p<0.001). Enthusiasm for innovation rose from 3.2 ± 0.7 to 4.6 ± 0.5 (t=10.12; p<0.001), perception of gamification effectiveness from 3.4 ± 0.6 to 4.5 ± 0.4 (t=9.64; p<0.001), and frequency of gamification application from 2.1 ± 0.8 to 3.9 ± 0.6 (t=8.88; p<0.001).  This improvement indicates that the training provided was successful in strengthening the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of teachers related to the use of gamification in learning. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi pelatihan gamifikasi bagi guru di tiga sekolah (SMP N 1, 2, dan 3 Batang Gasan) Kabupaten Padang Pariaman serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap pemahaman, antusiasme, persepsi efektivitas, dan praktik penerapan gamifikasi.
