Abstract

The curriculum in Indonesia has undergone several changes. Each curriculum is used for approximately 10 years. The curriculum that is still used is the 2013 curriculum until now. Apart from that, the curriculum is also seen as an educational program that is planned and implemented to achieve educational goals. The research approach in this thesis is descriptive qualitative type. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis used in research uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data uses technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this research are: 1) Independent learning curriculum planning for class VII Indonesian language subjects at MTs Sirojul Islam Ombul Sabungan for the 2023/2024 academic year in Indonesian language learning is carried out independently by analyzing Learning Achievements, formulating learning objectives, developing a Flow of Learning Objectives, preparing Teaching Module, preparation of Learning Evaluation Types. The implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum is carried out face to face through preliminary activities, core activities include the use of teaching materials, learning media in the form of projectors, application of the Make a Match and Talaqqi methods, and finally the closing activities. Evaluation of the Independent Learning Curriculum uses three assessments, namely a Diagnostic assessment which is carried out before the implementation of learning, a Formative assessment during the implementation of the learning process, and a Summative assessment at the end of a material, the end of a semester and the end of a phase using assessment techniques in the form of tests and non-tests. 2) Results Obtained from the Implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in class VII Indonesian language subjects at MTs Sirojul Islam Ombul Sabungan, namely: There is development of student competence through flexible learning, Achievement of Learning Goals through the cultivation of the Pancasila Student Profile which is also starting to develop.

Abstract

The speaking skills of secondary school students have declined significantly amid the dominance of passive and non-verbal digital communication. This phenomenon has become a controversial issue because Indonesian language learning is still dominated by lecture methods that do not sufficiently train students' verbal expression. This study highlights a change in the learning approach through the application of the discussion method as a solution to overcome poor speaking skills. The purpose of this study is to improve the speaking skills of seventh-grade students at Miftahul Ulum Banyuates Sampang Junior High School through discussion-based learning. The research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, which was carried out in two cycles, each covering the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques (data reduction, presentation, and verification). The results of the study showed a significant improvement in speaking skills, from an average score of 69 in cycle I to 82 in cycle II, with a completion rate of 90%. These findings confirm that the discussion method not only follows the trend of active and collaborative learning but is also an effective solution for fostering students' courage, argumentation skills, and verbal participation in the context of 21st-century Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness and influence of collaborative learning methods on the learning achievements of Grade XI students in Civic Education at SMK Al Mas'udiyah Sreseh Sampang. The method used in this study is quantitative with an experimental research design. The population is all Grade XI students at SMK Al Mas'udiyah Sreseh Sampang. The sample was selected using purposive sampling. Data collection methods included tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using t-tests, which had previously been determined to be homogeneous and normal. The results of this study show that: 1) The level of effectiveness of the collaborative learning method applied to Civic Education in the 11th grade at SMK Al Mas'udiyah is in the category of quite effective. This can be seen from the N-Gain Score result of 59.3% (fairly effective category) and from the results of observations of student activities conducted during 3 meetings, which obtained a percentage of 93.3% (fairly effective) because it met the criteria of ≥ 75%. 2) The effect of collaborative learning methods on the learning achievement of Civics subject students in class XI at SMK Al Mas'udiyah Sreseh Sampang. This is shown by the results of hypothesis testing conducted using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05, which yielded a t-count > t-table, namely 7.074 > 2.021. Thus, it can be seen that there was an increase in the average post-test score of the experimental class, which was 87.09, and the control class, which was 77.55.

Abstract

The decline in a sense of responsibility among teenagers has become an issue that has attracted attention and sparked controversy in the world of education, especially at the secondary school level. Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) is expected to be a strategic means of instilling values of responsibility and moral awareness in students. This study aims to explore strategies for instilling a sense of responsibility among students at Arrohmaniyah Tambelangan High School, Sampang. The research approach uses a qualitative method with a case study design. The research subjects are 30 purposively selected 11th grade students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify internal and external factors that influence the formation of responsible character. The results showed that the instillation of responsible character was influenced by students' self-motivation, teachers' exemplary behavior, parental support, and a conducive school culture. Collaboration between schools and families proved to be a key factor in fostering consistent responsible behavior. These findings emphasize the importance of Civic Education as a solution to the crisis of students' moral responsibility (emergency) while also being in line with the trend of character education in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The development of reading and writing skills are two important skills in learning Indonesian that are interrelated. However, in reality, elementary school students still experience difficulties in understanding the content of reading and writing coherently and clearly. The reading and writing skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Ragung 2 are still low because the learning methods used tend to be passive and do not involve students actively. Therefore, an integrative and enjoyable approach is needed, one of which is the ECOLA method which combines four language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which was implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 14 fifth-grade students at SDN Ragung 2. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and tests. The instruments used included student observation sheets, student worksheets (LKS), and documentation of reading and writing results. The results showed an increase in students' reading and writing skills after the application of the ECOLA method. In cycle I, the average student score was 64.8 with a classical completion rate of 35.7%. After improvements to the learning process, in cycle II, the average score increased to 71.6 with a classical completion rate of 71.4%. This improvement demonstrates the effectiveness of the ECOLA method in Indonesian language learning to improve students' reading and writing skills in an integrated and meaningful manner.

Abstract

Public speaking is an essential skill for students to face both academic and professional challenges. One factor believed to enhance this ability is participation in student organizations. However, many students have not fully utilized organizations as a medium for self-development, particularly in public speaking. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational involvement on public speaking skills, identify contributing factors, and examine organizational strategies to improve these skills. The research employed a quantitative survey method involving 69 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, observation, documentation, and analyzed with SPSS version 25 through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression. The findings reveal that organizational participation significantly affects students’ public speaking skills (sig. 0.000; F = 79.214). The most influential factors include the level of participation, roles undertaken, types of activities, and the social environment within the organization. Effective organizational strategies consist of communication training, group discussions, leadership development, and assigning active roles in activities. These results confirm that student organizations serve as an effective platform for shaping and enhancing students’ public speaking skills.

Abstract

Listening skills are important for students which must be developed to sharpen memory and responsiveness in learning in the classroom and to train a student's focus. This research is a qualitative research. While the method used in data collection is the method of interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis used is data reduction to choose focus, simplicity, abstracting and transforming data that emerges from field notes, then proceed with presenting data, then the data will be organized, arranged in a relationship pattern, so that it is easier to understand and then Verification or conclusion. The results of the research according to the focus of the research found: (1) from the video given by the researcher to class X students of SMK Darul Ijtihad Parajin Banyumas Sampang, only 60% were said to be proficient or 15 students could be said to be superior with a score of 578-640 and 40% could be said to be intermediate with score 482-577 (2) Factors supporting students' listening skills as a form of Indonesian language proficiency in class X at SMK Darul Ijtihad Parajin Banyumas Sampang are physical, psychological, motivational, gender, and community roles. (3) The inhibiting factor for students' listening skills as a form of Indonesian language proficiency is the students themselves who play an important role in listening skills in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

Kesantunan berbahasa merupakan hal memperlihatkan kesadaran akan martabat orang lain dalam berbahasa, baik saat menggunakan bahasa lisan maupun bahasa tulis. Etika dalam berbahasa berkaitan dengan norma-norma sosial dan sistem budaya yang berlaku dalam suatu masyarakat. Etika berbahasa ini mengatur apa yang harus dikatakan seorang lawan tutur pada waktu dan keadaan tetentu. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, adalah penelitian yang bermaksud untuk memahami fenomena tentang apa yang dialami oleh subjek penelitian seperti perilaku, persepsi, motivasi, tindakan, dan lain-lain Hasil penelitian ini sesuai rumusan masalah yang ditemukan. Deskripsi jenis penyimpangan yang terjadi dalam interaksi belajar mengajar ‎bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas X SMA Khairul Ulum, penyimpangan yang paling banyak ditemukan yakni maksim kesimpatian dengan jumlah 4 tuturan siswa yang menyimpang. Sedangkan alasan terjadinya penyimpangan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa dalam interaksi belajar mengajar bahasa ‎Indonesia siswa kelas X SMA Khairul Ulum, menganggap guru sebagai teman sehingga siswa berkomunikasi selakyatnya berbicara dengan teman, kondisi geografis siswa yang mengakibatkan siswa terbawa nada bicara yang keras, dan kemajuan teknologi.

Abstract

Musik Daul merupakan sebuah kesenian lokal yang sudah menjadi ciri khas di Kabupaten Sampang sejak tahun 1980-an  namun dengan seiring berjalannya waktu kesenian musik daul itu sendiri sudah mengalami kemerosotan yang dipengaruhi oleh masuknya kesenian modern yang sudah mulai digandrungi oleh anak muda, maka dari itu diperlukan sebuah pembaharuan dari semua lini baik dari kontribusi Pemerintah setempat, elemen masyarakat serta para pegiat musik daul agar kesenian musik daul di Kabupaten Sampang tetap terjaga dan menjadi sebuah ikon yan dapat dibanggakan. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah: 1). mengetahui implementasi kesenian musik daul di Kabupaten Sampang; 2). mengetahui upaya pemerintah Kabupaten Sampang dalam menjadikan kesenian musik daul sebagai identitas lokal yang dapat dibanggakan. Hasil penulisan menunjukkan bahwa; 1). Implementasi dapat diwujudkan melalui kegiatan Festival Musik daul setiap tahunnya baik acara formal atau non-formal, melalui bentuk kegiatan inilah diharapkan mampu meningkatkan dan mengembangkan promosi dan pemasaran pariwisata di Kabupaten Sampang terhadap daerah lain; 2). Pemerintah harus memberikan support penuh baik berupa pembinaan, fasilitas, akomodasi, alat transporatasi dan konsumsi terhadap penyelenggaraan parade dan pegiat musik daul yang diadakan secara intensif sehingga terjadi timbal balik antara dua belah pihak sehingga kesenian tersebut dapat terus berkembang dan menjadi ikon yang dapat dibanggakan oleh masyarakat.

Abstract

Aiming to find out how active the speech writing ability of class VII students at SMPN 2 Tambelangan semester 1 is, this research uses quantitative research. The variables of this research are the use of the SQ4R learning method as the independent variable and concluding the content of the text of the speech in class VII SMPN 2 Tambelangan after the learning process takes place as the dependent variable. The learning results concluded that the content of the pinato text in the experimental class had increased greatly. The normality test results obtained a value of p= 0.841 for the experimental class and p= 0.573 for the control class. Provided that if the p value > α= 0.05 then the data comes from normally distributed data. Data from SPSS analysis shows a p value= 0.841 > α= 0.05 in the experimental class and a p value= 0.573 > α= 0.05 in the control class. This shows that the use of the SQ4R learning method is effective in learning Indonesian in particular on the basic reading competency of students at SMPN 2 Tambelangan Birem Tambelangan SPSS data analysis.
