However, the use of this slang raises concerns about the existence of the Indonesian language as a national cultural property. This article discusses how slang on social media can be a threat to Indonesian language culture in adolescents. In this article, the authors update that the continuous and increasingly widespread use of slang can reduce the quality of Indonesian used by teenagers. In addition, the use of slang can also change the mindset and attitude of teenagers towards Indonesian as the official language of the state. This article also discusses how teenagers can strengthen the existence of the Indonesian language by avoiding the use of slang on social media, enriching their knowledge of the Indonesian language, and increasing awareness of the importance of the Indonesian language as a national cultural treasure. Thus, this article can provide insight and better understanding of the influence of slang in social media on Indonesian language culture in adolescents.

This research aims to examine differences in sibling rivalry in terms of gender and living with parents or guardians (grandmother/siblings), as well as the implications of family counseling as an effort to prevent student sibling rivalry. This research is comparative research, the research sample was selected using random sampling technique. The research sample consisted of 241 students (25.7% men and 74.3% women). Data was collected using the sibling rivalry questionnaire (SRQ), which consists of 27 question items. Through the application of the RASCH model, the questionnaire was reviewed to determine internal consistency and measurement structure. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and Anova with the help of JASP Version 18.0. The results show there are significant differences between sibling rivalry based on gender and living together. In addition, female tend to behave in sibling rivalry at home compared to male. Further research is recommended to identify other factors that influence sibling rivalry, including economic conditions and parental education.____________________________________________________________Mengingat tingginya kasus sibling rivalry yang dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan psikologis anak dan dinamika keluarga.

Abstract

The transition from high school to university represents a significant period of change in the lives of first-year students. This adjustment often involves challenges in academic, social, and personal domains, with students needing to adapt to new learning environments, peer dynamics, and, in some cases, independence from family. The aim of this research is to examine differences in first year students' adjustment based on gender, culture, and domicile and living with parents or in a boarding house. The methodology employed in this study utilizes a descriptive comparative approach, which involves the integration of Two Way ANOVA with the Rasch Ranking Model. This integration is achieved by converting the raw data into logarithmic data. The study obtained politomy data using a self-adjustment scale instrument, which was disseminated online. The data were analyzed using the Rasch model. The findings show there are significant differences between the adjustment of male and female students, as well as between the Batak tribe and other tribes. Adjustment is influenced by interactions between gender and ethnicity, as well as between ethnicity and place of residence. However, no major differences in adjustment were observed with respect to specific residences or housing types.

Abstract

This associative quantitative research aims to determine the influence of self-efficacy and social support on the resilience of students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and interviews, with analysis using multiple linear regression and coefficient of determination using SPSS 27. The research population was 177 students majoring in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, and the sample used was 123 people using the Slovin method. The test results show that simultaneously, self-efficacy and social support influence resilience, with Fcount > Ftable (78.403 > 3.92). The partial test shows that self-efficacy (X1) has a significant effect on resilience (Y), with a value of tcount > ttable (10.695 > 1.657), while social support (X2) has no significant effect, because tcount < ttable (0.388 < 1.657). The significance value for self-efficacy < 0.05 and social support > 0.05. The results of the coefficient of determination test show that 56.6% of the variance in resilience can be explained by self-efficacy and social support, while 44.4% is explained by other factors not studied. Thus, self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on resilience, while social support does not show a significant effect

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of democratic parenting patterns and self-regulated learning on self-adjustment of class X students in one of the Islamic boarding schools in Medan City. This study uses a quantitative method using a total sampling technique involving 150 students. The research instruments used in this study were the democratic parenting pattern scale, the self-regulated learning scale and the self-adjustment scale. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method through the Smart PLS 4.0 and SPSS 26.0 programs. The results showed that democratic parenting patterns had a positive and significant effect on self-adjustment with a coefficient value of 0.524 and a P-Value = 0.000 < 0.05. Self-regulated learning has a positive and significant effect on self-adjustment with a coefficient value of 0.500 and P-Values = 0.000 < 0.05. Democratic Parenting Patterns and Self-Regulated Learning are able to explain or influence Self-Adjustment by 66.8%. This shows that both factors play an important role in the psychological development of children and adolescents. The remaining 33.2% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work environment and organizational culture on employee performance. This research method uses quantitative methods. The population was 110 and the sample was 110 employees with a total sampling technique. Based on the results of the t-test, there was a significant effect of the work environment on performance, which was obtained by the regression coefficient value of the Work Environment variable (t count) of 12.987 with a t table of 1.658, meaning that the t count value ˃ t table and significance of 0.000 ˂ 0.050, so that the first hypothesis was accepted. Based on the results of the t-test, there was a significant effect of organizational culture on performance, which was obtained by the regression coefficient value of the Work Environment variable (t count) of 12.987 with a t table of 1.658, meaning that the t count value ˃ t table and significance of 0.000 ˂ 0.050, so that the second hypothesis was accepted. Simultaneously there is a significant influence between the Work Environment and Organizational Culture on performance as seen from the calculated F value of 61,667 and the F table value of 3,081 with a significance of 0.000 <0.050, then it can be said that the calculated F value> F Table and significance 0.000 <0.050. In addition, the coefficient of determination (R²) = 0.309, which means that the work environment and organizational culture have a 30.9% influence on employee performance.
