Abstract

The problem of decentralization is one of the main problems in madrasa modernization and independent learning. This is due to the difficult coordination and expensive learning processes being experienced. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the impact of the educational policy implementations on madrasa, with the existence of regional autonomy in Serang and Pandeglang Regencies, Indonesia. This qualitative study involved 10 participants, which contained district madrasa heads and supervisors, institutional managers, education staff, and teachers in Serang and Pandeglang. The utilized instruments were the interview protocol and observation sheet, with the data analysis being obtained through the Huberman and Miles's technique. This included reading, meaning, and data developed within the framework of the historical and ethnographic approach analysis. The results showed that there was no difference in the curriculum between public and private Islamic schools under the local government. The advantage was also observed for regional autonomy, regarding the emergence of superior, exemplary, regular, and vocational madrasas, respectively. However, the disadvantage of this policy was the difficulty in improving the quality of madrasa institutions, funding, and education personnel. These results indicated that all parties should contribute and supervise the implementation of autonomous education, to optimize the goals of each madrasa and achieve independent learning. Explicit rules are also needed regarding the understanding of discriminatory decentralization policies, especially in madrasa and other educational institutions.

Abstract

This study examined character education in a different paradigm. In this case, character education was implemented through a variety of activities that existed in educational institutions, especially student coaching activities. Not all students’ activities were able to instill the values of character education, so it was expected that through student coaching activities, character education could be achieved as it was formulated in the government regulations. The purpose of character education was to create students with good personalities. Once they grew up with an excellent character, the students would grow with their capacity and commitment to do the best things and do everything right and tended to have goals in life. Effective character education was found in a school environment that allowed all learners to show their potency to achieve significant goals. By doing so, character education in various student development activities could be connected and provided positive energy for the development of students in educational institutions. This research was a library study (library research) that utilizedliterary materials as the primary source and employed a qualitative approach. Therefore, the researcher exploredseveral data both primary and secondary data with concrete steps as follows: read and examine in-depth primary data such as books which are the results of the priorstudies, theses and dissertations related to character education and government regulations particularly the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 39 of 2008. Document study, namely looking for data about things or variables in the form of notes or transcripts, books, newspapers, magazines, and other documents needed for research data. This research proves that the flow of renewal in Islamic education finds momentum when the Indonesian government is able to synergize with Muslim figures. Likewise, the accommodative and cooperative attitude displayed by some Indonesian Muslim leaders and Islamic community organizations has contributed to the government's belief that advancing Islamic educational institutions is not something that is scary but will add stability to the condition of government and politics in Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and knowledge with student anxiety in nursing clinical practice. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a correlational approach, the data was collected using a questionnaire method. The research sample was taken with a total sampling of 67 students who carried out nursing clinical practice. The results of data analysis showed that there was a very significant negative relationship on self-efficacy with anxiety, which was indicated by the correlation coefficient rX1Y = - 0.655 with p < 0.01. This means that the better the self-efficacy, the lower the anxiety experienced. Furthermore, there is a very significant negative relationship between knowledge and anxiety, which is indicated by the correlation coefficient rX2Y = - 0.674 with p < 0.01. This means that the more knowledge students have, the less anxiety they experience. There is a relationship between self-efficacy and knowledge with anxiety, which is indicated by the coefficient F = 32.646 with p < 0.01. The magnitude of the correlation is r = 0.711 with R2 = 0.505, this means that together self-efficacy and knowledge contribute to the emergence of anxiety by 50.5% and there is 49.5% anxiety experienced by nursing students is influenced by other factors. By assuming knowledge is in a constant condition, every increase of 1 unit of self-efficacy variable will reduce the level of anxiety experienced by students by 0.375, and vice versa by assuming self-efficacy in constant conditions, every increase of 1 unit of knowledge variable will reduce student anxiety level by 1,996.
