Abstract

ABSTRAKPara Harimau Yang Menolak Punah(Imanda Dea Sabiella dan Edho Cahya Kusuma, 2013) merupakan judul dokumenter televisi produksi Eagle Institutedengan ciri filmis berupa paduan antara gambar dan tuturan (wawancara). Dokumenter ini merupakan objek material yang menarik untuk diteliti dalam konteks kontinuitas dan perubahan estetika, selama era pasca reformasi dengan zaman Orde Baru sebagai pembanding. Jika pada masa orde baru, kampanye pelestarian lingkungan melalui media dokumenter notabene diproduksi oleh pemerintah melalui estetika sinematik yang bersifat propagandis, maka saat ini dokumenter produksi Eagle Institutejustru menggunakan estetika sinematik yang kritis sebagai konter bagi pemerintah. Fakta dan fiksi (faksi) menjadi istilah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebagai bentuk kontinuitas dan perubahan dokumenter televisi Indonesia. Alasan pemilihan istilah ini adalah dunia fenomenal dalam banyak kasus, seperti yang terlihat dalam dokumenter, seakan berbeda dari "dunia nyata", meskipun dalam kenyataannya rekaman itu berasal dari “dunia nyata/realitas”. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan film kognitif untuk mengamati sejauh mana Faksi beroperasi sebagai media kritik yang secara estetis merangkai dokumenter tersebut. Struktur mental digunakan untuk menjelaskan Faksi melalui petunjuk filmis hingga diperoleh kesimpulan tentang kritik yang ingin disampaikan melalui dokumenter. ABSTRACTPara Harimau Yang Menolak Punah (Imanda Dea Sabiella dan Edho Cahya Kusuma, 2013) is the title of a television documentary produced by Eagle Institute. The documentary has characters that specifically contains of expository shots. This documentary is an interesting material object to be examined in the context of continuity and aesthetic change, during the post-reform era with the New Order era as a comparison. During the new order era, environmental conservation campaigns through documentary media were produced by the government through propagandist cinematic aesthetics. Whereas, the post-reform documentary produced by Eagle Institute actually uses a critical cinematic aesthetic as a counter for the government. Fact and fiction (faction) became the term used in this study as a form of continuity and change of Indonesia documentary. The reason for choosing this term is the phenomenal world in many cases, as seen in the documentary, as though it were different from the "real world", even though in reality it came from "the real world". This study uses a cognitive film approach to observe the extent to which the Faction operates as a criticism medium which aesthetically assembles the documentary. The mental structure is used to explain the Faction through filmic clues to the conclusion of the criticism that the documentary wishes to convey.

Abstract

Technological development and change in the broadcasting regulation cause television stations in Indonesia to modify their broadcasting strategy. One of the alternatives is to distribute broadcast television content into the online path through user generated content sites such as Youtube. In addition to getting free broadcast path and reach a wider audience, ease of access also monetize broadcast channel in order to earn advertising revenue from every impression through the online. The government regulation of changing broadcast technique from digital to analog lines, still has not been fully successful. It becomes the easiest way out for local television stations of Jember whose capital is limited to switch from analog broadcasting method to cheap or even free digital broadcasting. With an online distribution, television stations can distribute contents and accessible to viewers through digital devices in a more flexible way, as long as connected to the internet. Television stations are also entitled to income from the number of viewers with contents uploaded to the site.Keywords: local private TV, user generated content, digital broadcasting, online media

Abstract

This research discusses the promotion strategy of Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1 movie. Purpose of the research is to find out the creative ideas on strategy of getting the audience. Research data based on phases done by the Falcon Pictures promotion team, consists of preparation, action, and monitoring. It also explained the number of audiences gained based on promotional activities that have been done. This research uses qualitative methods with observation, interview, and literature study, that expected to show the effectiveness of promotions has made on the number of audiences that gained.

Abstract

The widespread use of social media has also affected the business aspects of creative industries such as film production and marketing. This happens because social media is used as an open public discussion space and brings together social media users with customers and potential customers of creative industry businesses. The film industry is a field that requires special strategies in the promotion process due to its dynamic nature and its competitive scheme that changes every week. This makes pre-consumption opinions made by social media users important as it can affect the sales performance of the released film. This study uses uses and gratification theory to discover how social media users use digital spaces to get satisfaction. This study separates individual engagement and interactive engagement as two important things that determine customer satisfaction in using social media and how it influences the pre-consumption opinions that circulate. This study is also useful for academics who have a focus of study on media studies, communication, business, as well as actors in the creative industry to determine promotional strategies from the time of film release until the product gets its gross profit.

Abstract

Generally, television programs are divided into two parts, which are popular entertaining program called entertainment program and information called news program Television station provides as how that covers the two elements which is known as edutainment. Si Otan program is an edutainment program that explains about animal world. Based on that, to know how far Si Otan program gives influence so that it can broaden knowledge and change perception about animal world. The data of the research were reviewed by using learning theory by Jerome Bruner, the theory that emphasizes the way how people choose, maintain, and actively transform the information. Knowing that Si Otan program can be well accepted by children, so they can understand and draw the information they get from the program. Qualitative research method wasused to know directly the children's perceptions based on their learning process. The result of the research showed that edutainment program that involved animation attracted children's learning interestso that the obtained information became a useful knowledge.

Abstract

This research discusses creative strategy the of KENZO World The New Fragrance version ad. Purpose of the research is to find out the creative ideas and the impact to the audiece. Research data based on repeated observation and describe with additional theory of Mise-en-scene. This research uses qualitative methods with observation, interview and literature study, that expected to show the effectiveness of crative strategy.

Abstract

Desa Manggisan di Kecamatan Tanggul, Kabupaten Jember memiliki potensi destinasi wisata alam Air Terjun Antrokan yang sejuk dan masih asri. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah mendorong terbentuknya SDM yang memiliki kemampuan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan keahlian mengelola program desa wisata dengan strategi dan ekonomi kreatif disamping memiliki SDM yang siap melakukan pelayanan, pemeliharaan, dan pengembangan, pembangunan sektor infrastruktur, sarana prasarana guna mendukung ecowisata Air Terjun Antrokan di desa Manggisan. Metode pelakasanaan pengabdian ini adalah menggunakan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada masyarakat desa Manggisan khususnya POKDARWIS dengan berbagai macam tahapan pelaksanaan mulai dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dalam tahap persiapan berupa observasi awal, pemetaan masalah, dan penyusunan rancangan kegiatan pendampingan. Adapun dalam pendampingan membuat desain atau konsep wisata air terjun dan pelatihan Sistem Tata Kelola dan Sistem Manajerial beserta Pengembangan SDM yang Produktif, Kreatif dan Inovatif. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan pengandian ini masyarakat desa Manggisan memiliki kesadaran kemampuan mengelola dan mengembangkan Ecowisata Air Terjun Antrokan berbasis pengembangan ekonomi kreatif.

Abstract

This study is a critical perspective in exploring changes in social, cultural and political forms related to the development of contemporary communication technology. The main theme of this research is YouTube's digital space with the topic of utilizing the main features of geo-tagging, hashtags and live streaming. Researchers observed three content creators in utilizing the features of the digital platform to carry out social interactions and actions. The purpose of this study is to explain that the character of the users and the current use of digital platforms is a representation of the interaction and socio-cultural situation of contemporary society as a part of the digital ecosystem. This research is qualitative in nature with specific observations on micro phenomena, so the results are not generalizations, but in the form of data findings to support the hypothesis, namely the importance of a critical perspective of digital ecology to explain contemporary digital ecosystem phenomena. This article is supported by comparative descriptions and descriptions of the development of several theoretical models as well as social-technological changes that have occurred before. This research contributes to providing an important perspective that media and technology studies must move from discussions about human and technology interactions, to discussions about human interactions in technology. As a study of ongoing phenomena, the researcher places this research by opening up to the potential for the latest changes that can occur along with technological developments.
