Abstract

Dalam era digital, guru perlu memiliki kompetensi pedagogis, kepribadian, profesional, dan sosial, termasuk kemampuan menggunakan teknologi. Sementara itu, pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di MTs. Al-Hijrah NU Medan belum sepenuhnya dilaksanakan karena berbagai kendala, seperti belum dimanfaatkannya aplikasi literasi digital dengan maksimal. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan aplikasi literasi digital untuk membantu guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Beberapa kendala yang ada terkait ketersediaan perangkat dan pemahaman guru tentang literasi digital. Pembelajaran literasi digital diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengoperasikan teknologi karena hampir semua pembelajaran saat ini menggunakan media digital. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi aplikasi yang telah dikembangkan memperoleh hasil yang cukup baik, dimana memperoleh tingkat kepraktisan produk sebesar 83,13%. Sementara itu, penilaian yang diperoleh dari guru menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan sebesar 75% pada pengetahuan guru mengenai literasi digital dan peningkatan sebesar 81% pada kemampuan mereka dalam menerapkan literasi digital. Dari hasil perolehan nilai-nilai tersebut menyatakan bahwa pengembangan aplikasi yang dilakukan terbukti efektif dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar guru.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze public sentiment towards Starlink through tweets collected using the hashtag "starlink." The data crawling process was successful in collecting 1888 tweets. However, upon checking and processing the data, we reduced the number of valid and relevant tweets to 416. This reduction occurred due to duplicate data and the use of common keywords. We performed sentiment classification using the Naive Bayes model, yielding the following sentiment distribution: We classified 287 tweets (68.99%) as positive, 112 tweets (26.92%) as neutral, and 17 tweets (4.09%) as negative. The model performance evaluation shows good results with a recall of 0.80, precision of 0.90, F1 score of 0.83, and accuracy score of 0.80. The results of this study indicate that the majority of tweets related to Starlink have positive sentiments, indicating a generally favorable public perception of the service. A small proportion of tweets showed neutral and negative sentiments, which can provide valuable input for service improvement. The Naive Bayes model is able to classify sentiment with fairly high accuracy, making it one of the most effective tools for sentiment analysis.

Abstract

Efficient bus scheduling is a crucial element in urban transportation systems. This study aims to simulate a bus scheduling system on an urban route using the Discrete Event Simulation (DES) approach. The simulation models bus movement, passenger arrivals, and waiting times at each stop. The system consists of five bus stops and three buses operating on a fixed schedule. The simulation results indicate that passenger waiting times vary significantly across stops. The first stop shows the lowest waiting time, while mid- and end-route stops experience cumulative delays. The average waiting time can exceed 60 minutes at certain locations. Alternative scenarios involving additional buses show a notable decrease in waiting times and a significant improvement in scheduling efficiency. This study demonstrates that DES is an effective method for evaluating and designing adaptive and efficient transportation systems in urban environments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengelolaan antrian pada layanan ritel yang sering kali ditentukan secara intuitif, sehingga dampak perubahan jumlah kasir terhadap waktu tunggu pelanggan belum dievaluasi dengan cara yang terukur. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk merancang, mengembangkan, dan memvalidasi sistem simulasi antrian berbasis web untuk model M/M/C, dengan proses kedatangan yang mengikuti distribusi Poisson dan waktu pelayanan yang mengikuti distribusi eksponensial pada c pelayan/kasir. Sistem ini dirancang sebagai aplikasi web menggunakan Laravel, yang menerima input berupa laju kedatangan (?), laju pelayanan (?), jumlah pelayan (c), dan durasi simulasi. Selanjutnya, sistem ini menghitung metrik Erlang-C dan melaksanakan simulasi peristiwa diskrit. Keluaran sistem mencakup Lq, Wq, utilisasi (?), L, dan W, serta dilengkapi dengan visualisasi yang mendukung analisis. Validasi dilakukan melalui studi kasus observasi di Indomaret Jl. Lapangan Golf, Tuntungan 2, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara dengan parameter ?=10, ?=4, c=3, dan durasi 1000. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan kedekatan dengan Erlang-C: Lq 3,2914 dibandingkan dengan 3,5112 (6,26%), Wq 0,3299 dibandingkan dengan 0,3511 (6,04%), ? 0,8275 dibandingkan dengan 0,8333 (0,70%), L 5,7686 dibandingkan dengan 5,6112 (4,04%), dan W 0,5799 dibandingkan dengan 0,6011 (3,53%). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat dengan konsisten mereplikasi metrik antrian dan juga menyediakan alat evaluasi operasional berbasis web yang memungkinkan pengujian skenario perubahan parameter layanan (?, ?, c) secara terukur dalam konteks ritel.

Abstract

Digital interface design plays a vital role in user interaction with software, especially through visual elements such as color and typography. This study was motivated by the need to understand how these visual elements affect user comfort while interacting with an application or website. The purpose of this study was to analyze user perceptions of the use of color and typography, and their impact on visual comfort. The method used was a descriptive quantitative approach by distributing online questionnaires to 20 respondents from various age groups. The collected data were analyzed descriptively by comparing preferences and comfort based on the age of the respondents. The results showed that the majority of respondents felt that color and typography greatly influenced the comfort of using digital interfaces. Dark background colors and sans-serif fonts with proportional sizes proved to be the most preferred choices because they provided reading comfort and reduced eye fatigue. A balanced combination of color and typography was also considered important to improve readability and the overall user experience. In conclusion, the selection and use of appropriate visual elements contribute greatly to creating a friendly and comfortable interface design for users of various age ranges.

Abstract

The continuous evolution of technology has significantly transformed the way humans interact with computers, moving beyond traditional keyboard and mouse inputs toward more natural and adaptive interfaces. This literature review examines the current and emerging trends in user interface (UI) development within the context of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), with a specific focus on future-oriented innovations. Key areas of discussion include voice-user interfaces (VUIs), gesture-based interaction systems, adaptive and context-aware UIs, artificial intelligence (AI) integration, and neuroadaptive technologies. The study employs a qualitative analysis method, drawing upon scholarly publications from 2020 to 2025 and emphasizing the contributions of researchers from Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, particularly M. Khalil Gibran. These technologies are assessed for their usability, accessibility, efficiency, and their ability to enhance user satisfaction through personalization and contextual awareness. Results from reviewed studies suggest that adaptive and AI-driven UIs are becoming essential in delivering personalized user experiences

Abstract

An online video application specifically designed for the elderly, with a focus on ease of use and fulfillment of entertainment and hobby needs. Common problems of the elderly related to cognitive decline, loneliness, and difficulty adapting to technology are the background to the design of this application. The research method used is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a prototyping model. The design process includes creating a process flow diagram, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) for database modeling, and an intuitive user interface (UI) design. The results of this study are in the form of an application prototype that includes a login feature (with a no-registration option for the elderly), a homepage with favorite video categories, an interactive search feature, a search results page, and a video player interface with simple interaction options such as like. The interface design prioritizes minimalist aesthetics and navigation that is easy for the elderly to understand. It is hoped that this application can provide alternative entertainment, reduce loneliness, and improve knowledge and decision-making for the elderly through relevant video content.

Abstract

The swift advancement of mobile technology compels developers to create user interfaces (UI) that are both practical and user-friendly. This research focuses on creating a mobile application User Interface through the User-Centered Design (UCD) method, emphasizing users as the core of the complete design process. The approach comprises four UCD phases: analyzing usage context, identifying user needs, developing design solutions, and evaluating through usability testing. Testing involved 30 participants utilizing the System Usability Scale (SUS) approach and think-aloud technique. The findings indicated that the created UI design attained an average SUS score of 82.5 (Excellent category), alongside a 67% enhancement in task efficiency relative to the original design. This research demonstrates that the UCD method greatly improves the usability quality and user experience (UX) of mobile apps.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has increased the use of web-based and mobile systems, but it has also posed challenges related to the security of user data. This study aims to analyze the influence of user interface design on data protection in digital systems. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach by collecting data through a Likert scale-based questionnaire to 20–30 respondents who actively use digital services. The data is analyzed to see the tendency of user perception of the relationship between interface design and data security. The results show that the majority of respondents agree and strongly agree that a clear, structured, and easy-to-understand interface design can improve understanding of security features and a sense of security in using digital systems. In addition, poor or confusing design has the potential to cause users to ignore the security aspect. These findings suggest that interface design has an important role not only in terms of convenience, but also in supporting the protection of user data. Therefore, the development of digital systems needs to integrate security aspects in interface design to increase user trust and vigilance.

Abstract

Digital financial service developments have also increased the use of digital wallet applications among university students, especially boarding house residents who have relatively high daily transaction needs. This study was conducted to examine the ease of use level of digital wallet applications by applying the System Usability Scale (SUS) approach. The research data were obtained through questionnaire distribution to 20 respondents who actively use digital wallet applications. Furthermore, the collected data were processed to determine the system usability level based on the SUS score obtained. The results showed an average SUS score of 74, which falls into the acceptable category with grade B and adjective rating Good. Although the application has been able to provide a fairly positive user experience, several aspects still require improvement, particularly in navigation arrangement and interface consistency.
