Abstract

The Teacher Certification Program (PPG) is a government program to support competency improvement and standardization of teachers in Indonesia. Program organizers are LPTKs that have met the requirements for further preparation and fulfillment of human resources, infrastructure, and supporting policies. Evaluation of the PPG Program is essential, especially for LPTKs still new to implementation. Evaluation of the PPG Program is carried out using the CIPP Model, an evaluation model in terms of Context, Input, Process, and Product. The evaluation was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, documentation, interviews, and survey instruments. The PPG program on the subject was carried out on 204 students involving 28 lecturers and 38 teachers for 94 days. The evaluation results show that the PPG Program implemented on subjects is a good and excellent value, with a context assessment directly proportional to the process and product. It is excellent, and the input assessment is good value with a comparison of students and human resources, which are still in minimum control. These results indicate that the program will be implemented very well if it fulfills the content and process aspects which are also very good for producing a product that is also very good. At the same time, the input, which consists of the number of students and human resources who have an unbalanced ratio, is not an obstacle if the implementation control is carried out as well as possible.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine whether the use of the Spotify app improves students' listening skills. A pre-experimental design was used in this research. The subjects were 35 tenth-grade students of SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. The researcher conducted a pre-test before the treatment and a post-test to assess the results of the treatment. These tests were used as instruments for data collection. Furthermore, the data were analyzed and interpreted using quantitative procedures with SPSS version 25. The results indicate that the mean score of the post-test is higher than the mean score of the pre-test: the mean score of the post-test was 82.86, while the mean score of the pre-test was 62.43. This shows a difference in students' listening comprehension of English songs and narrative podcasts before and after being taught using the Spotify application. Additionally, based on the statistical analysis using a T-test with SPSS version 25 for Windows, the result of Thitung was -12.116, which is higher than the Ttable value of 1.995469 (-12.116 > 1.995469). This indicates that there is a significant difference in listening comprehension scores before and after being taught with the Spotify application at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. In conclusion, based on the results, the Spotify application is an effective tool for teaching listening comprehension to students at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu kemampuan matematis yang diamanatkan dapat berkembang melalui proses belajar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang dilihat melalui kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah Bentuk Aljabar. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 69 siswa SMP Kelas VII di tiga kabupaten di Provinsi Aceh dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam tiga bentuk instrumen penelitian yaitu angket persepsi kemampuan siswa, soal tes, dan wawancara. Dari penelitian ini didapat hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik, namun berdasarkan soal tes dan wawancara diketahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa berada pada kategori cukup atau sedang. Siswa cenderung tidak memeriksa kembali hasil jawabannya karena tidak membuat persiapan rencana penyelesaian masalah dengan baik. Subjek penelitian merupakan subjek masa transisi antara Pendidikan Dasar ke Pendidikan Menengah sehingga pembentukan kemampuan pemecahan masalah belum dapat terbentuk secara stabil dan maksimal. Melalui hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan pengembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah karena menjadi penting dalam keberhasilan belajar.

Abstract

Kemampuan representasi matematis sangat penting untuk dimiliki dan dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan representasi matematis siswa, serta bentuk representasi matematis yang muncul. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus terhadap empat siswa SMP Kelas VII dengan kemampuan sedang, yang dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran Mengenal Bentuk Aljabar. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu angket, wawancara, dan lembar analisis pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VII merupakan siswa tahap abstraksi awal sehingga kemampuan representasi matematis belum banyak muncul dan berkembang dengan baik. Adapun bentuk representasi yang muncul yaitu representasi simbolik dengan tipe rendah dimana masih terdapat Gap antara berpikir konkrit dengan kemampuan abstraksi awal. Beberapa hal yang mempengaruhi munculnya kemampuan representasi adalah motivasi yang tinggi dalam memecahkan masalah, metode belajar yang disajikan, dan kemampuan siswa dalam belajar matematika. Mathematical representation ability is very important to develop. This study aimed to analyze students' mathematical representation abilities, as well as the forms of mathematical representations that appear. This study used case studies of four Grade VII junior high school students with moderate abilities, which were carried out in Recognizing Algebraic Shapes. The research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year in three meetings. The data collection techniques utilized questionnaires, interviews, and problem-solving analysis sheets. The results showed that class VII students were students at the early abstraction stage, so their mathematical representation abilities had not emerged and developed well. The form of representation that appears was symbolic representation with a low type where there was still a gap between concrete thinking and initial abstraction abilities. Some of the things that influenced the emergence of representational abilities were high motivation in solving problems, the learning methods presented, and students' abilities in learning mathematics.
