Abstract

Drugs are substances, guide substances, and biological products that are used to influence or investigate physiological systems or pathological states. Medicines can have generic names and trade names. People think that drugs with generic names produce lower therapeutic effects than trade names, as is the case in the Genteng Kulon community. The aim of this community service activity is to provide information regarding the differences between medicines based on generic names and trade names to the Genteng Kulon Village community. The method used was counseling and giving leaflets. Apart from that, people also do pre-test and post-test questions. This community service activity was attended by 50 representatives of posyandu figures in Genteng Kulon Village. The result of community service activities is that representatives of posyandu figures receive information regarding the differences in medicines based on generic names and trade names. People can use drugs with generic names without worrying about efficacy, especially for people who receive drug services from BPJS. There is an increase in the post test score compared to the pre test.

Abstract

Gummy candies adalah permen kunyah yang terbuat dari gelatin dan karagenan. Tujuan dari formulasi ini adalah memformulasikan infusa daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum) ke dalam bentuk gummy candies. Penelitian ini menggunakan variasi konsentrasi pemanis gula stevia dan sirup jagung. Formula 1 berisi 2 % gula stevia dan 12 % sirup jagung, formula 2 berisi 4 % gula stevia dan 10 % sirup jagung, dan formula 3 berisi 6 % gula stevia dan 8 % sirup jagung. Metode pembuatan yang digunakan adalah metode cetak tuang. Gummy candies diuji secara organoleptis, uji pH, keseragaman bobot, dan stabilitasnya pada suhu sejuk, suhu ruang, dan suhu hangat. Menurut hasil penelitian didapatkan organoleptis untuk seluruh formula adalah berbentuk love, berwarna hijau, beraroma khas gelatin, memiliki tekstur kenyal, dan rasa yang kurang manis pada formula 1, rasa manis pada formula 2, dan lebih manis pada formula 3. Seluruh formula memiliki nilai pH sebesar 5 dan ini telah memenuhi persyaratan pH sediaan gummy candies. Seluruh formula memenuhi persyaratan keseragaman bobot. Hasil uji stabilitas seluruh formula stabil disimpan pada suhu sejuk yaitu 8°C – 15°C.

Abstract

The number of positive cases of COVID-19 is still being reported in Indonesia. However this number has decreased significantly compared to the previous time. Prevention efforts are still being carried out by the government in suppressing the number of COVID-19. One of the efforts is the Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS). An example of PHBS is to use hand sanitizer. People can use hand sanitizer if there is no place to wash their hands with soap and water. The manufacture of hand sanitizers has also developed by utilizing herbal plants. This herbal plant certainly has medicinal and antibacterial properties. This plant can also be cultivated around the yard of the house. The purpose of this activity is to optimize the use of Sereh Wangi into pharmaceutical dosage forms that are useful for the community. The methods are counseling activities, guidance and manufacturing practices, and the provision of hand sanitizers. The students of the Asy Syafi'i Islamic Boarding School have knowledge about other benefits of Sereh Wangi after participating in community service. Santriwati feels happy because she can make and apply the products that have been made by herself.

Abstract

Telang flowers are found in many tropical areas, one of whuch is in Indonesia. The content of telang flowers can be used as anticancer, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. The amount of healt potential contained in telang flowers is important to do standardization. This study aims to determine the standardisation of telang flower extract in maceration method with 96% etanhol, ethyl acetate and n-hexane solvents. Standardisation testing includes specific and non-specific parametes. The results showed that the telang flowers used was included in the Clitoria ternatea species. Weight yield, drying shrinkage, specific gravity, moisture content and ash content have met the standard. The largest yield weight is found in ethanol solvent which is 11.83%. The highest secondary metabolite content was found in ethanol solvent, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, tanins, and saponin. While in n-hexane solvent there were only terpenoids and steroids.

Abstract

Pondok pesantren (ponpes) merupakan salah satu kekuatan dalam mengembangkan sumber daya manusia. Ponpes tidak hanya membekali santri dengan pengetahuan agama namun juga perlu memberdayakan santri dalam mengasah skill sehingga kelak ketika lulus dari ponpes bisa mandiri secara ekonomi. Salah satu skill penting di dunia modern saat ini adalah skill kewirausahaan untuk menciptakan peluang usaha dan meningkatkan ekonomi dalam masyarakat. Ponpes Putri Ibnu Katsir Jember adalah salah satu ponpes yang sangat mendukung hal tersebut, namun karena keterbatasan sumber daya dana dan manusia, kegiatan peningkatan skill santri dalam berwirausaha belum dapat dilakukan. Oleh karena itu dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan pembuatan produk sabun padat dengan memanfaatkan limbah kopi yang tidak terpakai, serta implementasi digital marketing dalam mempromosikan produk yang sudah dibuat. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan interaktif, praktik pembuatan produk, dan evaluasi berupa pretest serta posttest. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman santri dalam teori dan teknik pembuatan sabun padat, serta pengetahuan terhadap digital marketing. Hal ini sesuai dengan hasil rata-rata nilai pre-test peserta di awal kegiatan yaitu 60,4, lalu pada nilai post-test meningkat menjadi 87,2. Berdasar hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan skill kewirausahaan para santri.
