Abstract

Peningkatkan penggunaan ponsel di Indonesia membuat masyarakat semakin banyak berinteraksi dengan gadget terkhususnya anak-anak. Penggunaan ponsel yang baik dapat memberikan dampak pembelajaran yang signifikan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai fitur yang ada. Pada penelitian ini pengembangan media pembelajaran Gemar bertujuan menjadikan proses pembelajaran Al-qur’an menjadi menarik dan menyenangkan bagi anak-anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif dan Argumentatif. Subjek yang dituju pada penelitian ini adalah anak usia dini dengan rentang usia 3 sampai 12 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Game Belajar Al-qur’an memberikan kemudahan bagi anak-anak dalam pembelajaran dan menjadikan pembelajaran Al-qur’an menjadi menyenangkan. Dengan adanya pengembangan Game belajar Al-Quran maka dapat meningkatkan minat pembelajaran Al-qur’an pada anak-anak dan dapat membantu dan mempermudah guru dan orang tua dalam memantau pemahaman anak dalam mempelajari Al-qur’an Kata kunci: Al-Quran, Anak Usia Dini, Game Interaktif

Abstract

Educational supervision plays an important role in improving the quality of teacher professionalism in schools. The reality in Indonesia is that supervision is not well understood in terms of its function and purpose. In addition, supervision is still administrative in nature and has not focused on improving teacher professionalism. This research aims to reveal the implementation strategies of educational supervision that can improve teacher professionalism. This research method uses a literature study using Google Scholar data base indexed sinta 1 to 3 published in 2019-2024 using the keywords supervision, teacher, professionalism based on research topics that are relevant to the research objectives. The results showed that 1) strategies that can be used in educational supervision are the contribution of school principals, e-supervision-based and collaborative approaches. 2) The characteristics of teacher professionalism are dedicated, competent, communicative and integrity. With this research, it is hoped that it can contribute to making a supervision policy programme that focuses on developing teacher professionalism in educational institutions

Abstract

The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in predictive maintenance (IoT-enabled Predictive Maintenance) for industrial electrical equipment offers significant potential to enhance system efficiency and reliability; however, its implementation is constrained by challenges related to sensor data integration, communication infrastructure quality, and security issues. This study addresses a gap in the literature by describing patterns of successful IoT-enabled Predictive Maintenance implementation in industrial electrical applications. The contribution of this research lies in providing a systematic synthesis of leading technologies and key success factors in the adoption of IoT-enabled Predictive Maintenance.  The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA approach, which resulted in 16 relevant articles. The findings indicate that the combination of IoT technologies, sensors, wireless networks, and edge-cloud architecture represents an appropriate technological configuration for building an effective Predictive Maintenance chain. These implementations are predominantly found in the manufacturing, energy, and transportation sectors, with the main success factors determined by data quality and network sustainability. These findings offer practical solutions for industry practitioners in improving the efficiency and sustainability of their systems. In conclusion, the successful implementation of IoT-enabled Predictive Maintenance in industrial electrical systems is highly dependent on the suitability of technological infrastructure, data governance, and service-based business models, while also opening opportunities for further research and the expansion of applications into other sectors.

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) are essential in vocational and engineering education; however, empirical evidence explaining how communication and student engagement jointly shape the development of HOTS remains limited, particularly in automotive contexts. This study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous influence of communication and student engagement on students’ HOTS, including problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. An ex post facto quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 208 undergraduate and diploma students from the Automotive Engineering Education and Vocational programs at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Data were collected using validated questionnaires, and multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to determine both independent and combined effects of the predictor variables. The findings reveal that communication and student engagement each exert a positive and significant influence on HOTS, while their simultaneous contribution explains 71.9% of the variance in students’ HOTS scores. These results indicate that students who actively communicate, participate, and engage cognitively, behaviorally, emotionally, and agentically demonstrate stronger analytical, reflective, and creative thinking abilities. The study confirms that communication and engagement are not merely supporting attributes, but key drivers of advanced cognitive development in automotive vocational education. Implications highlight the importance of designing interactive and collaborative learning environments that foster participation and meaningful academic involvement to prepare students for increasingly complex professional challenges.

Abstract

This study evaluated the capacity of the drainage system along Rela–Sutomo Road, Medan, to accommodate rainfall runoff and domestic wastewater. Rapid urban development and population growth have increased impervious surface coverage, surface runoff, and domestic wastewater generation, potentially exceeding the conveyance capacity of the existing drainage channels. This study aimed to determine whether the existing drainage system could accommodate the combined design discharge. The analysis included population projection using the least-squares method, estimation of domestic wastewater discharge, rainfall frequency analysis using the selected probability distribution for a 10-year return period, rainfall intensity estimation using the Mononobe method, runoff calculation using the rational method, and channel capacity calculation using Manning’s formula. Sediment depths and channel dimensions were directly measured across 10 drainage segments. The results showed that the design runoff discharge for the selected 10-year return period reached 24.46 m³/s, whereas the existing channel capacity was only 1.31 m³/s. Sediment accumulation reduced the effective cross-sectional area and decreased the channel capacity by up to 30%. Consequently, the combined inflow substantially exceeded the available channel capacity, indicating critical hydraulic overload and a high risk of flooding and surface inundation. The existing drainage system is therefore inadequate and requires channel normalization, periodic sediment removal, and hydraulic capacity improvement

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of implementing the flipped classroom model using the Moodle and Google Classroom learning management systems in enhancing pedagogical competence and learning management skills. This model is implemented through pre-class, during-class, and post-class learning stages facilitated by digital materials, interactive forums, and automatic evaluation mechanisms on the platform. The research method used a one-group pretest–posttest design with 37 lecturers in the Faculty of Engineering as subjects. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test, one-sample t-test, and N-Gain calculation to assess competency improvement after the intervention. The results showed a significant increase in lecturers' initial and final competencies after participating in the flipped classroom model, as evidenced by a significant value of (p = .00 < .05). The N-Gain value of (.502) was in the moderate category, reflecting a consistent improvement in lecturers' abilities in the aspects of learning design, digital technology utilisation, and feedback provision through the platform. The integration of technology also strengthened the efficiency of classroom management and enabled lecturers to implement more adaptive, collaborative, and vocationally-oriented learning. This research implies that the flipped classroom model can be used as a strategy for developing lecturers’ professional skills in instructional design, the use of digital media, and interactive classroom management, and can serve as a basis for vocational higher education institutions to systematically integrate digital platforms to drive a transformation towards more effective teaching practices.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The building sector contributes significantly to energy consumption; therefore, literacy regarding energy-efficient buildings needs to be strengthened from the school education stage onwards. This study aims to analyse improvements in understanding and the ability to identify energy-efficient buildings within the school environment. The study employed an educational-participatory approach with a single-group pre-test–post-test design. The research sample consisted of 30 Year 10 students from the Construction and Housing Technology Department at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The activities were carried out over four sessions, comprising the delivery of material, discussions, a pre-test, a post-test, and practical exercises in identifying aspects of natural lighting, ventilation, lighting usage, and user behaviour. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and a paired-samples t-test. The results showed that the mean score increased from 46.80 to 80.43, with the pass rate rising from 0% to 86.67%. Meanwhile, the practical assessment achieved a mean score of 81.90 with a 100% pass rate. The paired-samples t-test revealed a significant difference (p 0.001) between initial and final knowledge. The research findings indicate that education based on direct observation is effective in improving students’ literacy and practical skills regarding the knowledge and identification of energy-efficient buildings. Keywords: Energy-Efficient Buildings, Vocational Education, Participatory Learning, The School Environment.
