Abstract

Keberadaan ruang kelas sebagai ruang tatap muka akan berganti menjadi "cyber classroom" di era pendidikan abad 21. Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis IT dan (2) mengembangkan Blog sebagai ruang perkuliahan online. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa matakuliah Dasar Perancangan dan Rekayasa lingkungan. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berupa materi perkuliahan dalam bentuk handout, panduan kuliah mini research, perangkat evaluasi. Media pembelajaran berupa video pembelajaran dan powerpoint sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan, yang dipublikasikan ke web 2.0. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa secara umum blog sudah memenuhi kelayakan berdasarkan aspek konten pembelajaran, organisasi blog, desain dan tampilan,navigasi dan pemograman, serta tautan. Simpulan bahwa keberadaan blog sebagai ruang kelas dalam pembelajaran online sangat membantu para mahasiswa dalam memahami materi tanpa dibatasi ruang dan waktu.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the online learning implementation activities at the UNIMED Faculty of Engineering to determine the various weaknesses and constraints. The research approach used is the CIPP model of Stufflebeam. And it focused on the content/material, facilities, processes, and outputs of online learning. Data were obtained from UNIMED Faculty of Engineering students through online questionnaires. The results showed that 1) the availability of learning resources is still low, as a content aspect, 2) network strength is weak at the input aspect, 3) the helpdesk service is lacking at the process aspect, and 4) the online effectiveness is low at the product aspect. On average, out of these four components, the lowest is online learning tools. In conclusion, this research found that learning facilities contributed to online learning effectiveness at the UNIMED Faculty of Engineering.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Google Classroom-based flipped classroom model for teaching machining theory during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Medan, which impedes learning activities. In accordance with the current situation and conditions of the covid-19 pandemic, an alternative and appropriate solution is required, namely the application of the flipped classroom model based on the google classroom to improve student learning outcomes in the machining theory course. The flipped classroom model can assist students in achieving learning objectives in a manner that is considered simple. Through the Flipped classroom, lecturers at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Medan can utilize online learning to facilitate students' access to and study of course materials. It is crucial to conduct research on this issue for this reason. This research has three objectives: (1) to examine the learning outcomes of students who use the flipped classroom learning model assisted by Google Classroom in the treatment class; (2) to examine the learning outcomes of students who use the conventional learning model in the comparison class; and (3) to determine the effect of using the flipped classroom learning model assisted by Google Classroom on the learning outcomes of machining theory. The type of research employed is quasi-experimental. Class A and B students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Medan State University, during the even semesters of 2020/21 comprised the population of this study. Researchers used cluster sampling (cluster random sampling) to select two classes from the population and determine the treatment class and comparison class. The data was derived from the results of observations and assessments of learning outcomes. In this study, descriptive and inferential statistical analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis indicate that online learning methods result in higher average student learning outcomes (80,05) than traditional learning methods (64,45). On the basis of the results of an inferential statistical analysis, it is possible to conclude that the learning outcomes of machining theory attained by students using the flipped classroom learning model supported by Google Classroom are superior to or have a positive impact on the learning outcomes attained by students using conventional learning models.

Abstract

Research on the implementation of the scientific basis for vocational education in the implementation of vocational education at the course and training institution (LKP) Zere – Amin is based on the general view that formal and non-formal educational institutions are capable of producing individuals who are independent and have the expertise and skills to live life, especially in this world Work. The aim of this research is to find out and describe vocational education at LKP Zere Amin. The type of research used is field research, with a qualitative descriptive approach that has been obtained from the field and related literature. To obtain data through observation and interviews. The results of this research show that the management of vocational education at LKP Zere Amin, through skills training activities in the field of Fashion Design, organizes a work skills program, namely the vocational education implementation model uses a cooperative/dual system model. This model is also called the government-controlled market model, this model is called a dual system where the learning system is implemented in two locations, namely at LKP and at work partners (DU/DI) both of which help each other in creating capabilities. reliable graduate work. Carrying out good partnership program planning between LKP - Zere Amin and DU/DI with the result that DU/DI is able to contribute to LKP. The form of collaboration carried out in this case is curriculum preparation, DU/DI visits, guest teachers, learning, evaluations carried out at the end of learning, and job recruitment for graduates.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut dosen untuk memiliki literasi digital yang memadai dalam mendukung implementasi pembelajaran inovatif, khususnya model flipped classroom. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan kemampuan dosen dalam memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran secara optimal yang berdampak pada kualitas layanan pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dosen melalui program pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam implementasi flipped classroom pada dosen di Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Medan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan, praktik langsung, serta evaluasi melalui desain pre-test dan post-test. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial untuk melihat perubahan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada literasi digital dosen, dari rata-rata 47,19 ± 5,71 menjadi 83,07 ± 11,47. Uji t berpasangan menunjukkan perbedaan yang sangat signifikan (p 0,001) dengan ukuran efek yang sangat besar (Cohen’s d = 2,70). Selain itu, hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dosen dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran flipped classroom secara lebih efektif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa program pelatihan dan pendampingan literasi digital memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas layanan pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kompetensi digital dosen sebagai strategi dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran di era digital serta dapat direplikasi pada konteks institusi lain. Kata Kunci: Literasi Digital, Flipped Classroom, Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, Dosen, Peningkatan Kapasitas.  ABSTRACT The rapid development of digital technology requires lecturers to possess adequate digital literacy to support innovative learning models, particularly the flipped classroom approach. However, gaps remain in lecturers’ ability to optimally utilize educational technology, which affects the quality of learning services. This community service program aims to enhance lecturers’ digital literacy through structured training and mentoring in the implementation of flipped classroom practices at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Medan. The methods included training sessions, hands-on practice, and evaluation using a pre-test and post-test design. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential approaches to assess changes before and after the intervention. The results indicate a significant improvement in lecturers’ digital literacy, with the mean score increasing from 47.19 ± 5.71 to 83.07 ± 11.47. Paired t-test analysis revealed a highly significant difference (p 0.001) with a very large effect size (Cohen’s d = 2.70). In addition, the evaluation results demonstrate improved lecturer capacity in designing and implementing flipped classroom learning more effectively. These findings confirm that digital literacy training and mentoring have a positive impact on improving the quality of learning services. This program highlights the importance of strengthening lecturers’ digital competencies as a strategic approach to enhancing learning effectiveness in the digital era and provides a replicable model for similar institutional contexts. Keywords: Digital Literacy, Flipped Classroom, Community Service, Lecturer, Capacity Building.

Abstract

SMK masih menjadi penyumbang tertinggi pengangguran dibandingkan jenjang pendidikan lainnya. Ketidakselarasan kompetensi antara lulusan SMK dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Revitalisasi SMK merupakan alternatif solusi untuk mengatasi kesenjangan tersebut. SMK Pusat Keunggulan adalah program nyata dari kebijakan Revitalisasi SMK. Program Keahlian Agribisnis Pengolahan Hasil Pertanian merupakan program keahlian unggulan di SMKN 1 Sei Kepayang yang mendapatkan bantuan SMK PK. Pembelajaran berbasis produk yang menyetting iklim dan budaya belajar menyerupai pabrik (Teaching Factory) dibutuhkan masyarakat menjadi tantangan bagi SMK. SMKN 1 Sei Kepayang berada di sekitar perkebunan kelapa. Ketersediaan limbah air kelapa yang tidak termanfaatkan menjadi peluang produk pembelajaran praktikum yang ekonomis dari segi biaya. Guru Produktif APHP telah beberapa kali melakukan eksperimen untuk mengolah air kelapa menjadi Nata de Coco namun belum mendapatkan hasil sesuai yang diharapkan. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan 5 Tahapan: (1) To Know, (2) To Understand, (3) To Plan, (4) To Act, (5) To Know. Hasil kegiatan pengbadian kepada masyarakat ini teciptanya Produk Nata de Coco SMKN 1 Sei Kepayang yang langsung dihasilkan oleh siswa didampingi oleh mitra industri. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini peranan mitra praktisi sangatlah dibutuhkan dalam upaya meningkatkan pembelajaran Teaching Factory.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The selection of appropriate learning media plays an important role in improving student learning outcomes, especially in vocational subjects that require conceptual understanding and practical skills. This study aimed to determine the difference in average learning outcomes between students taught using an Auto Level Simulator and those taught using Video media in the subject Fundamentals of Construction and Housing Engineering on the Land Measurement element for Grade X TKP students at SMK Negeri 2 Medan. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Medan during the even semester of the 2023 2024 academic year. The research sample was determined using a cluster random sampling technique, with class X TKP 1 as experimental class 1 receiving the Auto Level Simulator treatment and class X TKP 2 as experimental class 2 receiving the Video treatment. The research method used was a quasi experimental design. The prerequisite tests included a normality test using the Liliefors approach and a homogeneity test using the Levene Statistic. Data analysis was conducted using a one tailed t test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that the significance value (2 tailed) was 0.04 < α (0.05), indicating that the average learning outcome of students using the Auto Level Simulator (86.69) was higher than that of students using Video media (82.41). Therefore, the use of the Auto Level Simulator is proven to be more effective in improving student learning outcomes in the Land Measurement element of the Fundamentals of Construction and Housing Engineering subject for Grade X TKP students at SMK Negeri 2 Medan. ABSTRAK Pemilihan media pembelajaran yang tepat memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, khususnya pada mata pelajaran kejuruan yang menuntut pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan praktik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan rata rata hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Simulator Auto Level dan Video pada mata pelajaran Dasar dasar Teknik Konstruksi dan Perumahan pada elemen Ukur Tanah kelas X TKP di SMK Negeri 2 Medan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 2 Medan pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2023 2024. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu kelas X TKP 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dengan perlakuan Simulator Auto Level dan kelas X TKP 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 dengan perlakuan Video. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen. Uji persyaratan analisis meliputi uji normalitas dengan pendekatan Liliefors dan uji homogenitas dengan pendekatan Levene Statistic. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t satu pihak dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai sig. (2 tailed) sebesar 0,04 < α (0,05), yang berarti rata rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan Simulator Auto Level sebesar 86,69 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penggunaan Video sebesar 82,41. Dengan demikian, penggunaan Simulator Auto Level terbukti lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada elemen Ukur Tanah mata pelajaran Dasar dasar Teknik Konstruksi dan Perumahan kelas X TKP di SMK Negeri 2 Medan.
