Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Work Schedule Flexibility and Work-Life Balance on the Productivity of Generation Z Employees. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The study involved 100 Generation Z employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The data analysis techniques included validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, F-test, t-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) using SPSS software. The results indicate that Work Schedule Flexibility has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). Likewise, Work-Life Balance also has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly influence employee productivity. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.540 indicates that Work Schedule Flexibility and Work-Life Balance explain 54.0% of the variation in employee productivity, while the remaining 46.0% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for organizations in developing flexible work policies and promoting work-life balance to enhance the productivity of Generation Z employees.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effects of organizational experience and competence on the work readiness of final-year university students, both partially and simultaneously. The study was motivated by variations in students’ levels of involvement in student organizations and their mastery of competencies that support their readiness for the workplace among students of the Management Study Program, Class of 2023, at Widya Dharma University Pontianak. This study employed a quantitative approach using an associative research design. The sample consisted of 92 respondents, determined using the Slovin formula and selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a 5-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS. The results of the instrument testing showed that all items were valid and reliable. The regression analysis produced the equation Y = 4.924 + 0.586X1 + 0.457X2. The t-test results indicated that organizational experience (t-count = 8.401; sig. = 0.000) and competence (t-count = 5.857; sig. = 0.000) each had a positive and significant partial effect on work readiness. The F-test results showed that both variables simultaneously had a significant effect on work readiness (F-count = 47.456; sig. = 0.000). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.505 indicates that organizational experience and competence explain 50.5% of the variation in work readiness, while the remaining 49.5% is explained by other variables outside the scope of this study. These findings indicate that organizational experience has a relatively stronger influence on students’ work readiness than competence.
