Abstract

This research aims to determine the similarities and differences between the Sulatsi Mujarrad chapter and the two books. This study utilizes a qualitative approach, relying on library research as the main methodology. Based on literature references, documentation, and content analysis were used for the data collection method. In the analysis and interpretation stage of the collected data, the researcher applied the comparative thinking method by comparing two Ṣaraf books. The first book is At-Taṣrīf, while the second Ṣaraf book, which is the object of comparison, is Amṡilah Taṣrīfiyyah. From the results of this research, it was found that there are similarities in terms of the form of taṣrīf and differences in terms of the arrangement of taṣrīf terms and taṣrīf Lugawī. The At-Taṣrīf book has a more complete taṣrīf structure, while the Amṡilah Taṣrīfiyyah book has isim alāt, fi'il madi and mudari majhul and isim maf’ūl which are not found in the taṣrīf structure.

Abstract

This study aims to explore Indonesian-Arabic translation strategies and their impact on translation quality. Using a qualitative method based on a literature review, data were collected through documentation techniques involving selecting and analyzing relevant sources. The Miles and Huberman data analysis model included data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that translation challenges include grammatical differences, ambiguities, cultural connotations, and meaning equivalence. Identified strategies include adaptation, amplification, reduction, domestication, and foreignization. Technology, such as online resources, also effectively supported the translation process. Moreover, a cultural approach and an in-depth understanding of the source text context are key to producing accurate and relevant translations. In conclusion, appropriate translation strategies and comprehensive contextual understanding are essential to improving the quality of Indonesian-Arabic translations. This study contributes to understanding effective translation practices and supports cross-cultural communication between these two languages.

Abstract

Abstract

This research examines applying a deep learning approach in teaching Arabic vocabulary (mufradāt) by integrating three main pillars: mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning. The research explores how these principles can enhance Arabic vocabulary mastery through innovative technology-based strategies. Using the Integrative Literature Review (ILR) method, this study synthesizes relevant literature from indexed journals, academic books, and research reports published between 2020 and 2025. Data was collected from trusted academic databases such as Google Scholar, Crossref, and Scopus. After a rigorous selection process, 12 high-quality literature sources were analyzed to identify key themes, methodologies, and findings. The analysis process involved identifying the theoretical foundation, objectives, methodology, findings, and relevance of deep learning-based mufradāt instruction studies. Key findings from various sources were synthesized to formulate a conceptual instructional model that integrates deep learning principles to enhance the effectiveness of Arabic vocabulary learning. The results show that the deep learning approach improves Arabic vocabulary mastery by encouraging student engagement, contextual understanding, and emotional motivation. Mindful learning enhances focus and retention through reflective practices and multimedia tools. Meaningful learning strengthens long-term memory by connecting new vocabulary with prior knowledge and real-life contexts. Joyful learning increases motivation through gamification, interactive media (such as Duolingo, Kahoot!, and Educandy), and collaborative activities. However, limited technological infrastructure in remote areas can hinder implementation. In conclusion, the deep learning approach supported by mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning strategies offers a transformative framework for teaching Arabic vocabulary. Educators can create engaging, effective, and sustainable learning environments by leveraging technology and student-centered pedagogy.

Abstract

Learning Arabic Speaking Skills (Maharah Kalam) in Indonesia is still dominated by a structuralist approach that emphasizes grammar and memorization, thereby limiting students’ opportunities for natural and reflective expression. This study aims to analyze the integration of post-positivist paradigm, humanistic approach, and reflective strategies in teaching maharah kalam, in order to offer a more meaningful and contextual instructional design. The methodology used is library research by examining primary and secondary sources related to post-positivism, humanism, reflection, and the theory of speaking skills instruction. The study's findings show that the post-positivist paradigm views knowledge as a dynamic social construct open to interpretation, while the humanistic approach positions students as unique centers of the learning process, and reflective strategies encourage continuous self-evaluation and development. The integration of these three paradigms forms a transformative learning model that not only enhances speaking skills but also builds character, empathy, and students’ social awareness. The contribution of this research lies in developing a conceptual framework for Arabic language learning that is more adaptive, holistic, and relevant to the challenges of modern education

Abstract

This study aims to examine violations of Grice’s Cooperative Principle in the story of Prophet Ibrahim based on QS. Al-Anbiya: 51–70, and to explore its relevance to contemporary da'wah strategies. The focus of the research is directed at prophetic dialogues involving Ibrahim that contain maxim violations—quantity, quality, relevance, and manner—not merely as linguistic deviations but as rhetorical strategies to convey the message of monotheism persuasively and contextually. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive method with a pragmatic content analysis approach. Data were collected through documentation of Qur’anic verses containing dialogical narratives, particularly from Surah Al-Anbiya, and were analyzed based on the Cooperative Principle and Conversational Implicature theory developed by H. P. Grice. The findings reveal four key verses that strategically demonstrate maxim violations: QS 21:53 (relevance), QS 21:56 (quantity), QS 21:63 (quality), and QS 21:66 (manner). These violations do not hinder communication; rather, they serve as rhetorical devices to provoke the audience’s awareness of the irrationality of idol worship and the importance of monotheism. In conclusion, maxim violations in the story of Prophet Ibrahim reflect communicative wisdom in prophetic da'wah. This approach is relevant to modern da'wah contexts, as it shows that non-literal yet reflective and rhetorical communication strategies can enhance the effectiveness of Islamic preaching. This study offers a novel integration of pragmatic analysis and Qur’anic narrative interpretation, revealing how violations of the Cooperative Principle inform effective strategies for contemporary Islamic da'wah communication.
