It delves into the duty of church leaders to educate congregants on tax obligations, aiming to enhance awareness and adherence. The study underscores the significance of understanding taxation principles for improved compliance and suggests that such knowledge positively impacts the church's tax-related actions. Ultimately, it emphasizes the integration of Matthew 5:16, encouraging church members to let their light shine through responsible tax practices.

Abstract

True Christians build their faith on personal decisions born from spiritual experiences, particularly their belief in Jesus Christ. However, some individuals may join with impure motives, like yeast hidden in dough, which can negatively influence the community. This group includes deceivers, false prophets, and hypocrites who disguise themselves as fellow believers but are, in fact, hidden enemies. In Matthew 16:5-12, Jesus warns His disciples to be vigilant against the "yeast" representing the teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees. This study employs a qualitative approach and literature review to explore strategies for being vigilant against such symbolic "yeast." It offers concrete guidelines on how to protect Christian communities from harmful elements. The analysis outlines vigilance strategies based on biblical principles, helping Christians uphold the quality of their faith and bear the fruits of righteousness. By His grace, true Christians are expected to be effective witnesses for Christ and overcome deceptive efforts in the end times. Abstract

In the journey of marriage, challenges serve as tests for the commitments uttered in the sacred vow before God. Despite Christianity's rejection of divorce, the reality reveals cases of marital dissolution. This research employs a qualitative literature review approach, delving into Biblical verses to address the ethical concerns surrounding divorce in the context of Christian values. The study explores whether individuals who have experienced divorce can remain active in church service, illustrating diverse perspectives within the Christian community. The research focuses on providing solution-oriented views to facilitate recovery and support for those undergoing divorce while upholding Christian ethical norms. Marriage is not merely a formality but a sacred calling to complement one another, grounded in loyalty and affection. The integrity of marriage is sustained through adherence to Biblical teachings and the example set by Jesus Christ, perceived as a calling to make a positive impact on couples and society.

Abstract

Pastoral counseling plays a vital role in guiding and nurturing the congregation, employing a holistic approach grounded in Christian faith principles. Pastoral counseling not only serves as an advisor but also as a spiritual companion capable of addressing the emotional and behavioral aspects of the counselee. Balancing attention to both aspects, in line with pastoral theology, provides a solid foundation for a ministry committed to spiritual recovery, growth, and transformation. The use of the Bible as the primary guide requires wisdom in applying God's Word according to its context and meaning. Balancing present-day considerations with those of the past, and understanding sin, repentance, and forgiveness as fundamental to pastoral theology, form the basis of an effective counseling approach. The stages of counseling, the role of the counselor as a representative of Christ, and the wise use of the Bible create a solid foundation for effective counseling. This study employs a qualitative phenomenological method with literature review. Data analysis includes management, reading, description, interpretation, and representation. An inductive approach is used to formulate conclusions and predictions, supporting exploration in the context of pastoral counseling. Integrating psychology, humanities, and deep theology helps counselors understand the complexity of counselees holistically. Through critical evaluation and adaptation of the approach, pastoral counseling has a positive and sustainable impact on the spiritual growth and well-being of the congregation members. Pastoral counseling illustrates the church's commitment to guiding the congregation toward deep spiritual growth and well-being.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges of preserving and developing faith in Damarwulan Village, which boasts a rich and unique cultural and traditional heritage. Several issues have been identified, including nominalism, formalism in worship, and a lack of contextual approaches in faith preservation. The aim of this study is to explore effective strategies for nurturing the Christian faith, making it relevant to the local cultural and traditional context. The methodology employed is a case study with a qualitative approach, analyzing the process of faith revitalization through interviews and observations of the local congregation. The findings indicate that contextual renewal and preservation of faith can address the challenges of nominalism and formalism in worship, providing a solid foundation for deeper and more sustainable faith development. In conclusion, maintaining and growing faith that is aligned with the local cultural and traditional context is essential for strengthening the spiritual life of Christians in Damarwulan Village. This research also offers practical guidance for implementing faith-building strategies that are relevant to this specific context.

Abstract: This study delves into the instrumental role of religious figures in tackling pressing global economic issues, particularly poverty and inequality. Employing a comprehensive literature review methodology, the research illuminates the profound impact of religious teachings on economic behaviors and scrutinizes the endeavors of religious figures in alleviating socioeconomic imbalances. The narrative is enriched with compelling examples of successful initiatives spearheaded by figures such as Mother Teresa and Abdul Sattar Edhi, underscoring the tangible positive outcomes of religious involvement. Abstract

Penelitian ini menggali hikmah mendalam yang terkandung dalam perumpamaan Talenta, dengan fokus pada aspek tanggung jawab, pelayanan, dan kesetiaan dalam kehidupan Kristiani. Dalam perumpamaan ini, Yesus mengilustrasikan tiga hamba yang diberikan talenta oleh tuannya. Kami berpendapat bahwa konteks teologis dan budaya dari perumpamaan ini secara tegas menunjukkan pentingnya memanfaatkan karunia yang diberikan Tuhan dengan setia, seiring dengan peringatan akan akibat ketidaksetiaan dan kelalaian dalam pelayanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami implikasi mendalam dari perumpamaan ini bagi kehidupan Kristiani dan mendorong penerapan prinsip-prinsip tersebut dalam pelayanan sehari-hari. Metode penelitian melibatkan analisis eksposisi teks, kajian konteks budaya dan teologis, serta penafsiran teks dengan pendekatan eksegetis. Temuan penelitian menggambarkan bahwa perumpamaan ini mengajarkan pentingnya kesetiaan dalam pelayanan dan tanggung jawab dalam memanfaatkan karunia-karunia yang diberikan Tuhan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini merangsang refleksi dan tindakan dalam kehidupan pelayanan Kristiani, mengingat urgensi pemanfaatan karunia-karunia yang diberikan untuk kemuliaan Tuhan dan kemajuan Kerajaan Sorga.

Abstract

Leadership cannot be separated from the responsibility inherent in it, as the core of this role is being accountable for the outcomes of one's actions. In an era of disruption filled with various challenges, a leader's ability to adapt or become ensnared by the changes of the times becomes crucial. This research employs a qualitative method and references relevant literature and journals to understand the essence of responsibility in the context of church leadership. This article discusses the price that leaders must pay, such as receiving criticism, pressure, and rejection from both internal and external sources. In the context of the church leader's responsibility to serve, discipline, and guide the congregation, the relevance of sacrifices made, such as draining energy, mental faculties, and even facing loneliness in carrying out duties, is apparent. Integrity in leadership becomes a focal point inseparable from ministry. The author aims to provide a deep understanding through this article, so that the spirit of Christian leaders remains steadfast in fulfilling their noble calling as co-workers of God. Kepemimpinan seseorang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari tanggung jawab yang melekat padanya, sebagai inti dari peran tersebut adalah pertanggungjawaban atas hasil dari tindakan yang dipimpinnya. Di era disrupsi yang penuh dengan berbagai tantangan, kemampuan seorang pemimpin untuk beradaptasi atau terjebak oleh perubahan zaman menjadi sangat penting. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan mengacu pada literatur dan jurnal terkait untuk memahami esensi tanggung jawab dalam konteks kepemimpinan gereja. Artikel ini mengulas tentang harga yang harus dibayar oleh pemimpin, seperti menerima kritik, tekanan, dan penolakan baik dari internal maupun eksternal. Dalam konteks tanggung jawab pemimpin gereja untuk melayani, mendisiplinkan, dan membimbing jemaat, terlihat relevansi antara pengorbanan yang harus dilakukan, seperti menguras tenaga, pikiran, bahkan menghadapi kesepian dalam menjalankan tugas. Integritas dalam kepemimpinan menjadi sorotan yang tak terpisahkan dari pelayanan. Penulis bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam melalui tulisan ini, agar semangat para pemimpin Kristen tetap tegar dalam melaksanakan panggilan mulianya sebagai rekan sekerja Allah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran Pendidikan agama Kristen dalam mengatasi tantangan Kesehatan mental pada lansia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Kesehatan mental pada lansia dapat ditingkatkan melalui pendeketan Pendidikan agama Kristen sebagai fondasi yang kokoh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Perhatian terhadap lansia perlu dilakukan agar terjadi peningkatan kualitas hidup para lansia, mengingat pada usia lansia banyak terjadi persoalan yang dapat menyebabkan lansia menjadi depresi, hingga mengalami keputusasaan karena jarang mendapat perhatian khusus. Kesehatan mental perlu menjadi perhatian dalam keluarga agar para lansia dapat mengalami kualitas hidup yang bahagia diakhir hidupnya. Pada usia lansia, pemikiran setelah usia pensiun memiliki dampak yang signifikan dari usia produktif yang biasa disibukkan dengan pekerjaan dan aktivitas yang relatif banyak berubah menjadi saat berkurangnya jenis kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan. Penurunan kegiatan ini didukung oleh berkurangnya penghasilan yang diperoleh sehingga tidak leluasa dalam melakukan hal yang diinginkan. Pendidikan Agama Kristen bagi lansia harus terus dilakukan dalam pendekatan Pembangunan karakter lansia sehingga dapat mengatasi segala gangguan kesehatan mental baik secara jasmani maupun rohani.

Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of moral issues among adolescents with a focus on sexual integrity. Using a literature review approach, the research discusses the key roles of spiritual, moral, and emotional maturity, as well as the application of religious values in understanding and maintaining sexual integrity. The analysis of Joseph's life in Genesis 39 highlights that integrity is not limited by external situations but is closely related to the foundation of individual maturity. The conclusion emphasizes the crucial role of parents, teachers, and spiritual leaders in guiding the younger generation towards sexual integrity. The foundation of this maturity needs to be integrated into adolescent education to shape individuals who are moral, resilient, and capable of facing the challenges of the times.
