Abstract

This community service activity (PKM) was motivated by the issues of marital satisfaction frequently faced by many families, particularly parents who care for children with special needs. This condition occurs due to pressure, difficulties, and emotional problems that often arise, which can undermine the family’s quality of life and marriage satisfaction. The PKM aims to provide psychoeducation to the community about the importance of spousal support and the role of a harmonious family in creating marriage satisfaction and parental happiness. The method used was a psychoeducational webinar held online on May 31, 2025, with 95–100 participants. The activity began with registration, material delivery, interactive games, and a Q&A session, and was concluded with a post-test and reflection. The results show an increase in knowledge and awareness among participants about aspects of marriage satisfaction, the roles of emotional, instrumental, informational, and appraisal support from spouses, and how these forms of support help maintain family unity and the well-being of both parents and children. This is demonstrated by the participants’ enthusiastic participation, improvement in post-test scores, and satisfaction with the material and delivery of the activity. Therefore, PKM through psychoeducation can be a useful and applicable approach to support families, maintain marriage satisfaction, and create a harmonious, resilient family that can provide the necessary support for a better quality of life.
