Abstract

Along with the increase in population and the acceleration of economic expansion, there has been a concomitant increase in the urgent requirement for additional property that can serve as a venue for a wide variety of community activities. It is not uncommon for large cities, which are the epicenter of urbanization, such as the city of Surabaya, to experience a sharp increase in the demand for land. One of the regions that has excellent accessibility is the Sidoarjo Regency, which is comparable to the City of Surabaya in this regard. The goal of this research is to use Web-GIS to conduct an analysis of spatial data to identify the land functions that are most suitable for use in residential areas. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Weighted Product Model (WPM) are two of the methodologies that are included in the spatial data modeling method that uses multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). The parameters of the characteristics that are used are derived from data such as the distance to the city center, the distance to the market, the distance to the hospital, the distance to public transportation, the slope, the type of soil, and the amount of rainfall. The results of the spatial data modeling categorize the suitability of new residential land into categories of land that is not suitable for residential use and land that is acceptable for residential use. A K value of 0.27 is the result of the comparison test that was run between the two MCDM approaches using Cohen's Kappa coefficients.

Abstract

Websites are viewed primarily as a platform from which SMEs can portray a sophisticated image and advertise/market their products. One of the main factor affect the adoption of e-commerce by SMEs is the enviroment influence. On small business, the process of recording orders and sales transactions was done manually. These lead to customers complaints because they have to wait for a long time to get the product. In addition, the owners of small business find it difficult to know the popular products among customers. Moreover, the companys are eager to reach out to potential customers. Therefore, an e-commerce website is required not only as a solution to all these problems but also as a bridge between the business and their customers. The website was developed using the Scrum method. The application development process required three sprints to complete the seventeen product backlogs. The system testing proved the system is running according to its function and is accepted by the user.

Abstract

Tourism accommodation distribution influences regional poverty rates, making accurate data essential for analysis. This study aims to create a data visualization on poverty rates and tourism accommodation, especially hotels, in East Java Province to examine the relationship between the two through geospatial data visualization. By using the spatio-temporal analysis method starting from data preprocessing, data integration, data identification, and data visualization, this process allows comprehensive mapping and analysis of the available data. The resulting data visualization will be very useful for stakeholders in identifying and understanding the relationship between the availability of tourism facilities and economic welfare. Through this visual representation, stakeholders can clearly see how the distribution of tourism accommodations, such as hotels, can affect poverty levels in different regions. The statistical analysis using an F-test regression model confirms a significant relationship, with an F-value of 7.19 and a p-value of 0.003, indicating that an increase in hotel accommodations is associated with a decrease in poverty levels. This is due to the potential opening of jobs in the tourism sector for local residents in each district or city area.

Abstract

The process of submitting travel authorization letters at SMKN 6 Surabaya was previously carried out manually, leading to issues such as writing errors, miscalculations, and the lack of a digital archiving system. These problems highlighted the necessity for a digital solution to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the process. This study aims to design and develop a web-based travel authorization system using the Extreme Programming (XP) software development method. The XP methodology emphasizes close collaboration with users and rapid iterations throughout the development process. The system was designed with multi-role features, online approval, and digital archiving, enabling a full replacement of the manual process. Testing was conducted using Black-box Testing to verify that the system's functionality worked as expected. Additionally, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) was carried out to assess the design, usability, and efficiency from the user's perspective. The results from the UAT showed an average user satisfaction level of over 80%, indicating that the system was well-received by the users. This indicates that the system is effective in supporting the administrative process for travel authorization at SMKN 6 Surabaya. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance administrative efficiency, reduce human error, and streamline the management and digital archiving of travel documents. Furthermore, by automating the process, the system reduces the time and effort required for manual processing, ultimately improving the overall workflow within the institution.
