Abstract

Program PKM dilakukan dengan metode memberikan pelatihan, bimbingan, dan pendampingan kepada peserta mengenai pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi yang dilakukan secara luring. Tujuan pelaksanaan PKM yaitu (1) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan pengetahuan peserta mengenai pengembangan media pembelajaran, (2) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai teknologi informasi, (3) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi, dan (4) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan program PKM yaitu (1) meningkatnya kompetensi dan pengetahuan peserta mengenai pengembangan media pembelajaran, (2) meningkatnya pengetahuan mengenai teknologi informasi, (3) meningkatnya kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi, dan (4) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Scaffolding-metacognitive is a strategy to help students understand mathematical material, but some teachers do not yet understand the extent to which they can use the metacognitive scaffolding strategy in the learning process. This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of the implementation of scaffolding-metacognitive strategies in mathematics learning in secondary schools. Scaffolding-metacognitive strategies, combining step-by-step teaching with the development of students' awareness and control of their thinking processes, Scaffolding-metacognitive strategies are an effective approach to improving students' understanding of complex mathematical concepts and critical thinking skills. This study used a qualitative descriptive method and the participants consisted of 15 mathematics teachers from several high schools in Makassar City and Gowa Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation during the learning process. We used the Miles & Huberman analysis framework to analyze the collected data, namely: (1) data reduction; (2) data interpretation and condensation; (3) verification and drawing conclusions. The results of data analysis showed that 60% of teachers did not understand the scaffolding-metacognitive strategy, teachers mentioned several implementation challenges, such as the difficulty of adapting strategies to students' different abilities and limited time to plan and implement learning. In addition, teachers must estimate students' actual and potential knowledge so that teachers can provide scaffolding according to students' needs. Teachers need further support and training to overcome the challenges they face when implementing scaffolding-metacognitive strategies. This research makes an important contribution to the development of more effective educational policies and teacher training programs to improve the quality of mathematics education in secondary schools.

Abstract

Real Work Lecture (KKN) is one form of community service activities by universities carried out by students under the guidance of lecturers and local government leaders. Through KKN, students can apply the knowledge they have acquired in college into real life. KKN-T students who have the post in Lerang Village made a work program in the form of “Eight” Social Service activities (Delta Cares for the Environment). Social service is an activity carried out by individuals or groups as a form of concern for the surrounding environment. Social service is carried out by cleaning the environment. The targets of social service activities are mosques, village offices, fields and the surrounding environment. In general, the “eight” social service activities (Delta Cares for the Environment) went well and smoothly. and get full support from the community and with this social service activity, it is hoped that the community will have the motivation to keep the environment clean.

Abstract

To apply an assessment, all assessment data must be able to be recorded properly and easily traced back so that students who need special attention can be easily found and acted upon immediately. To facilitate the recording and tracing of values, the use of technological media is indispensable, such as the use of applications in assessments. SMP Tonasa 1 Kabupaten Pangkep is one of the campus partners experiencing problems, namely not being able to utilize information system technology as a medium for accessing and analyzing student grades. The purpose of this Community Service activity (PkM) is to have a PkM product in the form of the SiCekN application for SMP Tonasa 1 Kabupaten Pangkep, and to be able to increase partners' knowledge and skills in using the learning assessment information system application. The method used is in the form of making a Value Checking Information System (SiCekN) application with good communication and discussion with partners so that the application is in accordance with partner needs, preparing a manual for using the application, and training in the use of the Value Checking Information System (SiCekN) application. The result obtained was the realization of the Value Checking Information System (SiCekN) application for SMP Tonasa 1 Kabupaten Pangkep. The use of the application has been tested, developed and used properly since 2019 until now in 2023. Teachers have responded positively to the ease of inputting grades and the ease of access to the intranet network so they don't have to gather in a certain place. The use of the application consists of steps for students who will check grades and steps for teachers to input value data into the application.

Abstract

Konsep budaya yang terkait dengan matematika merupakan bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran, misalkan terkait dengan arah mata angin dengan materi denah.. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menelusuri etnomatematika ditinjau dari arah mata angin dalam bahasa Bugis-Makassar sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 4 orang informan yang menguasai Bahasa Bugis-Makassar dan berasal dari suku Bugis-Makassar. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara dengan narasumber, dengan triangulasi data yang diperoleh dari studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengungkap unsur-unsur etnomatematika penunjukan arah mata angin dalam Bahasa Daerah Bugis-Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan istilah pada Bahasa Bugis dan Bahasa Makassar untuk penyebutan arah mata angin, yang juga berbeda dengan Bahasa Indonesia. Masing-masing memiliki istilahnya tersendiri. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai pendekatan untuk mengkontekstualisasikan matematika pada materi denah dan arah mata angin.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology requires teachers to possess strong digital literacy skills to create learning experiences that are creative, efficient, and aligned with the needs of 21st-century students. However, many teachers in regional areas still face challenges in utilizing technology due to limited infrastructure and a lack of technical knowledge. This program was conducted to help teachers improve their skills in developing engaging and time-efficient digital learning media through training on the efficient use of Canva, aiming to strengthen teachers’ digital literacy and support the transformation of classroom learning. The training was implemented in four stages: needs analysis, face-to-face training, post-training mentoring, and evaluation. The needs analysis was carried out through an online survey to assess teachers’ initial digital skills. The face-to-face training was conducted for one full day at the SMPN 1 Maros auditorium and involved 15 teachers (11 mathematics teachers and 4 from other subjects). Using a hands-on approach, the training focused on introducing Canva’s features, strategies for utilizing templates, visual design principles, and integrating the media into online learning platforms. Post-training mentoring was conducted over two weeks via an online group and consultation sessions with facilitators. The results showed that all participants successfully created at least one digital learning product that was more visually appealing and efficient, and these products received positive responses from students. This program demonstrates that short, hands-on training combined with online mentoring is effective in enhancing teachers’ digital literacy and fostering their active participation in developing creative digital learning materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution of origins of prospective new STKIP Pembangunan Indonesia students during the COVID-19 pandemic based on the student's name, religion adopted, chosen study program, and sources of information on new student admissions. The method used is clustering with a total sample of 27 regions in Indonesia. In this study, 3 clusters were formed, namely cluster 1 which had the most students with members namely East Jakarta, East Kalimantan, Gowa, Maros, Takalar, Bantaeng, Manggarai, West Manggarai, East Flores, West Sumba. Cluster 2 has not too many (moderate) prospective students with members namely Makassar, Barru, SInjai, Bulukumba, Soppeng, Enrekang, Jeneponto, Selayar, Polewali Mandar, East Maggarai. Abstract

Program PKM dilakukan dengan metode memberikan pelatihan, bimbingan, dan pendampingan kepada peserta mengenai pelatihan inovasi model pembelajaran berbasis matematika realistik yang dilakukan secara luring. Tujuan pelaksanaan PKM yaitu (1) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan pengetahuan peserta mengenai inovasi pengembangan model-model pembelajaran, (2) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai pembelajaran matematika realistik, (3) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam proses pembelajaran, dan (4) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan pada SD Negeri 2 Malino Kecamatan Tinggi Moncong, Kabupaten Gowa, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pembimbingan dan pendampingan kepada peserta secara daring. Peserta kegiatan PKM adalah guru-guru Sekolah Dasar di Malino Kecamatan Tinggi Moncong. Materi yang disajikan dalam kegiatan PKM yaitu (1) teori & konsep: pembelajaran matematika realistic, (2) pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis matematika realistic, dan (3) implementasi pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan program PKM yaitu (1) meningkatnya kompetensi dan pengetahuan peserta mengenai inovasi pengembangan model-model pembelajaran, (2) meningkatnya pengetahuan mengenai pembelajaran matematika realistik, (3) meningkatnya kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam proses pembelajaran, dan (4) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam proses pembelajaran. Luaran/output kegiatan PKM yaitu (1) laporan hasil pelaksanaan PKM, (2) artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan dalam prosiding ber-ISBN dari seminar nasional, (3) artikel pada media massa cetak/elektronik, (4) video yang kegiatan yang dipublikasikan secara luas pada media online youtube, dan (5) adanya peningkatan keberdayaan mitra sesuai permasalahan yang dihadapi.

Abstract

Clustering is a method in data mining that aims to group data based on certain similarities or characteristics. One of the clustering methods or algorithms is the Spatial-Temporal Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (ST-DBSCAN) algorithm. This algorithm was chosen because of its ability to analyse data based on spatial and temporal dimensions simultaneously, using the parameters of spatial distance (ε₁), temporal distance (ε₂), and minimum number of points (MinPts). This study aims to determine the results of the ST-DBSCAN algorithm in clustering earthquake points in the Sulawesi Region. The data analysed is secondary data obtained from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) for the period 2019-2023, covering 12109 earthquake points with magnitude ≥ 3 on the Richter scale. The results show that earthquake points in Sulawesi are concentrated in subduction zones and active faults. The most earthquake-prone areas include North Sulawesi and Gorontalo, which are affected by the subduction of the Pacific and Eurasian Plates. In addition, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi are also at high risk due to the activity of the Palu-Koro Fault. Earthquake intensity around the Flores Sea and Banda Sea increases in 2021-2022 due to subduction of the Indo-Australian Plate. This study provides new insights into seismic activity patterns in Sulawesi that can be utilised to support disaster mitigation and earthquake risk reduction policies.
