Abstract

Program PKM dilakukan dengan metode memberikan pelatihan, bimbingan, dan pendampingan kepada peserta mengenai pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi yang dilakukan secara luring. Tujuan pelaksanaan PKM yaitu (1) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan pengetahuan peserta mengenai pengembangan media pembelajaran, (2) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai teknologi informasi, (3) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi, dan (4) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan program PKM yaitu (1) meningkatnya kompetensi dan pengetahuan peserta mengenai pengembangan media pembelajaran, (2) meningkatnya pengetahuan mengenai teknologi informasi, (3) meningkatnya kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi, dan (4) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan media pembelajaran terintegrasi teknologi informasi dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini diperuntukkan memberikan solusi pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar (SD) melalui pelatihan pendampingan kepada guru dengan fokus pada penulisan soal matematika berbasis konteks. Pelatihan ini menggabungkan dua komponen utama, yaitu sajian materi dan kegiatan praktek. Materi pelatihan melibatkan konsep pembelajaran matematika realistik, penulisan konteks matematika, dan pengaitan konteks dalam pembelajaran matematika. Kegiatan praktek melibatkan peserta dalam pembuatan dan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Matematika Realistik. Tim pelaksana terdiri dari para ahli pendidikan matematika dan matematika yang telah mengembangkan pembelajaran matematika dan program terkait. Pelatihan ini melibatkan 38 guru SD di kabupaten Gowa, dengan peserta aktif dalam menerima materi, interaksi, dan memberikan respon terhadap kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang penggunaan soal konteks sebagai media pembelajaran, menggiring kegiatan pembelajaran peserta didik dengan lebih baik, dan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika peserta didik. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan inovasi, kreativitas guru, dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an innovative mathematics learning design for Junior High School students, which explicitly integrates mathematical connection skills. These connections make learning more meaningful and relevant, thus enhancing students' ability to meet the challenges of the 21st century. This design is presented as a solution to the problem of low mathematical connection skills among students and the limitations of teachers in designing effective learning experiences. This design encourages students to actively construct their own understanding of mathematical concepts and their interrelationships. This research produces a comprehensive learning design, encompassing the formulation of measurable learning outcomes, the mapping and organization of coherent learning materials, and the design of learning activities and assessment strategies that align with the goal of developing mathematical connection skills. After undergoing a validation process by two expert reviewers, achieving an average score of 3.40 and categorized as valid, and incorporating minor revisions based on their feedback, this mathematics learning design is deemed ready to be piloted in learning setting. However, the scope of this article is limited to the development and validation stages of the learning design. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of mathematics learning at the Junior High School level, as well as equipping students with the critical thinking, creative, and problem-solving skills essential for their future success. By equipping students with strong mathematical connection skills, they will possess the essential thinking skills for success in the future, both in academic and non-academic fields.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi robotika saat ini telah merambah ke berbagai sektor, salah satunya dalam dunia Pendidikan. Robot dalam dunia pendidikan digunakan untuk mempermudah guru dalam memberikan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan mendalam bagi siswa. Kegiatan PKM ini secara tidak langsung membantu pemerintah dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan kompetensi siswa maupun guru di SMK/SMA yang selama ini sesuai dengan program pemerintah pusat yaitu gencar melakukan kegiatan revitalisasi SMK/SMA untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan daya saing sumber daya manusia. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 5 Majene. Kegiatan ini direncanakan akan berlangsung selama 8 (delapan) bulan dengan jadwal kegiatan mulai dari penyusunan proposal, implementasi kegiatan di sekolah, dan pelaporan ke LP2M UNM. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan memberikan 2 buah materi yaitu materi pertama: pengenalan robot dan bagian-bagian pentingnya, Internet of Things (IoT), pemrograman berbasis Arduino IDE, cara mengistall dan mengkonfigurasi aplikasi android, dan pengoperasian robot. Materi kedua berupa praktikum ujicoba pengendalian robot berbasis IoT menggunakan aplikasi android. Pada materi ke 2 ini, peserta pelatihan akan mencoba mengendalikan robot berdasarkan navigasi yang dinginkan baik kondisi pergerakan robot maju, mundur, belok kiri dan belok kanan. Kegiatan mendapatkan perhatian khusus bagi guru dan siswa karena materi yang disampaikan merupakan pendukung perkembangan teknologi Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan sangat penting bagi siswa sebagai bekal dalam mendukung keterampilan mereka

Abstract

Salah satu kompetensi yang dibutuhkan adalah kemampuan untuk melihat keterkaitan antar konsep dalam matematika sehingga perlu dikuasai siswa agar dapat memahami matematika secara utuh dan menerapkannya dalam berbagai konteks. Pembelajaran in action, menawarkan sebuah desain pembelajaran yang menekankan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam eksplorasi dan resolusi masalah, dihipotesiskan memiliki potensi signifikan dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pendekatan tersebut terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Desain penelitian yang diadopsi adalah OneGroup Pretest Posttest Design. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kompetensi koneksi matematis yang disusun dalam format uraian dan diberikan sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran in action. Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan  bahwa  pembelajaran  in action  yang  dirancang  dengan  baik,  yang  melibatkan  siswa  secara  aktif  dalam  menghubungkan  konsep  matematika  dengan  berbagai  representasi,  mengaplikasikannya  dalam  konteks  nyata,  dan  merefleksikan  pemahaman  mereka,  dapat  meningkatkan  kemampuan  koneksi  matematis  siswa.  Kata Kunci:  koneksi matematis, pembelajaran in action

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of errors, types of errors, and the causes of errors made by students in solving social arithmetic story problems in terms of students’ initial abilities. The type of research us ed is dercriptive research. A total of 28 students of class VII became subjects in this stu dy. Data was collected using written tests and interviews . The collected data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the percentage of errors from the largest to the smallest in a row is a problem with the concept of profit, purchase price, net weight, interest, discounts and taxes. The types of errors from the largest to the smallest percentages are errors in understanding the proble m, errors in completing mathematical models, errors in making mathematical models, and errors in writing the final answer to the questions. The causes of students errors are not understanding the meaning of the question, not mastering the concepts related to the problem, not mastering the steps in solving the problem, lacking mastery in the calculation process, unable to determine the next formula to solve the problem, making mistakes in the previous process, unable to write final answer, forgetting factor, and lack of practice working on the questions.

Abstract

This research aims to know the difficulties of mathematical problem solving of climbers (high AQ), campers (moderate AQ), and quitters (low AQ). The type of this research is qualitative research with descriptive approach. Subjects of this research are students of class VII Junior High School in Makassar, academic year 2017/2018. Retrieval of the subject is performed by providing questionnaire ofAQ. From the results of the questionnaire, categorize the subject by type of AQ. Then giving the test of mathematical problem-solving. After giving the test, selected purposively three subjects based on climbers student (high AQ), campers (moderate AQ), and quitters (low AQ) to be interviewed. The results of the research show: 1) Climbers subject experience a little more difficulty in problem-solving compared to campers subject and quitters subject. Climbers subject experiences two difficulties in working the test of mathematical problem solving that are the conceptual difficulty and operational difficulty. 2) Campers subject experience a little more difficulty in problem-solving than quitters subject. Campers subject experience three difficulties in working the test of mathematical problem solving that are the conceptual difficulty, principle difficulty, and operational difficulty. 3) Quitters subject experience the most difficulty in problem-solving. Quitters subject experience four difficulties in working the test of mathematical problem solving that are the conceptual difficulty, principle difficulty, operational difficulty, and careless difficulty.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the types of errors, (2) the level of error categories, and (3) the causes of students making mistakes in solving problems of rank and root form based on Watson's criteria in terms of gender differences. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. There are six research subjects, namely three male students and three female students. The instruments used in data collection were test instruments and interview guidelines. The results showed that male students tended to make errors in the response level conflict with a fairly high error category where students had tried to solve the problem but students did not understand the concept of working on the problem so they failed to get the right conclusion. In addition, students only write the final answer without being accompanied by a clear reason or step for solving it because students do not know the right way to work on the problem. Meanwhile, female students tend to make mistakes in the skill hierarchy problem with the small error category where students lack the skills to calculate some arithmetic operations contained in the problem solving step and tend make mistakes other than the seven Watson categories with the small error category where students do not answer questions because students do not know the steps. solution that must be used in the work because students rarely work on problems with different forms.

Abstract

This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach aimed at describing the mathematical literacy skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Malunda, Majene Regency. There are 6 subjects selected based on high, medium and low mathematical abilities. Data collection techniques used were tests and interviews. The instruments used in obtaining the data were tests of mathematical literacy skills and interviews. The data analysis techniques used are data condensation, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that of the 6 levels of mathematical literacy ability in PISA, students with high mathematical abilities fulfilled 3 levels, students with moderate mathematical abilities fulfilled 1 level, and students with low mathematical abilities did not fulfill the 6 levels of mathematical literacy ability in PISA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical conceptual knowledge of SMK students specifically for class X on the material of a three-variable system of linear equations. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The indicators of conceptual knowledge used are recognizing examples and non-examples of concepts; interpreting models, symbols, signs, or terms used to represent concepts; manipulate ideas related to the use of multiple representations; and identify the principles related to the material of the three-variable system of linear equations. There are four research subjects, namely two students in the middle category and two students in the low category. The data collection technique used is interviews. The instruments used in data collection were conceptual knowledge test instruments and interview guidelines. The results showed that students in the medium category were only able to fulfill the indicators of interpreting models, symbols, signs, or terms used to represent concepts and identify principles related to the material of a three-variable linear equation system. Meanwhile, students in the low category are only able to fulfill the indicators of interpreting models, symbols, signs, or terms used to represent concepts and identify principles related to the material of a three-variable linear equation system.
