Abstract

Received: Revised: Accepted: This paper describes the cycle model of integrative-interactive character learning strategies at ‘MTs’ (Islamic Junior High School) Islamic Boarding School. The data is focused on MTs Al-Qodiri 1 and Nuris 1 Jember. This study used a qualitative approach having a multi-site research principle. The findings of this study showed that the application of the cycle model of integrative-interactive character learning strategies in MTs Islamic Boarding School has its own characteristics and can be considered to be a successful model of student character development. Character learning materials, especially the character values are the integration of values within the formal curriculum and Sufi based Islamic Boarding School typical curriculum. The materials are organized through the process of determining the material, structuring the order, constructing analogy, and summarizing the contents of character learning. Various interactive, collaborative and learning media are used, so that the transfer process of character learning material is easily understood and practiced in daily life. In order to ensure that the organization and the process of learning provision are more optimal, the character learning regulation is carried out by a 24-hour scheduling process followed by a continuous process of monitoring, motivational management, and supervision.

Abstract

Conventional learning has limitations, leading researchers to propose personalized web-based learning tailored to individual student characteristics. This study focuses on enhancing web-based learning at Bhinneka PGRI University in Indonesia by customizing content and activities to align with students' learning styles. The research methodology uses a quasi-experimental design involving 72 information technology education students. Data collection includes assessments of learning styles, concept mastery, and concept application through tests. Descriptive statistical analysis shows that personalized web-based learning has a more positive influence on the mastery and application of concepts compared to non-personalized learning. There is no significant correlation between personalized web-based learning and students' learning styles. The findings indicate differences in mastery and application of concepts among students using web-based learning, but no disparities based on different learning styles. In conclusion, personalized web-based learning leads to variations in mastery and application of concepts compared to non-personalized methods, with no discernible discrepancy in the mastery and application of concepts between students with different learning styles. Research indicates that personalized web-based learning is more effective in enhancing mastery and application of concepts compared to non-personalized methods. By customizing web-based learning to individual learning styles, students can enhance the quality and outcomes of their learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of young Indonesians’ growing interest in the #KaburAjaDulu movement on the trend of labor migration abroad. The hashtag, which has gained popularity across social media platforms, reflects the dissatisfaction of Generation Z with the socio-economic conditions in Indonesia and their desire to seek better opportunities overseas. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review method, analyzing scientific journals, government policy documents, academic articles, and credible online sources. The findings indicate three significant impacts of this trend: first, a rise in brain drain, where skilled young talents migrate abroad and potentially weaken national human capital; second, the emergence of digital migration, with youth pursuing remote careers as digital nomads in more supportive global ecosystems; and third, growing social dissonance among Indonesian youth, marked by ideological divisions between those who choose to stay and reform the system versus those who leave it. These impacts highlight a shift in values, aspirations, and strategies among the younger generation. The study concludes that while migration offers individual benefits, it poses long-term challenges to national development and social cohesion, and therefore, requires comprehensive policy responses and public awareness initiatives.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has shifted student interactions from traditional communication toward digital engagement, particularly through social media. While social media use among students is relatively high, much of the activity is still dominated by entertainment consumption, raising questions about its impact on digital political participation. This study aims to analyze the effect of social media use intensity on both active and passive forms of digital political participation among students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 305 students. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring social media use intensity and various forms of digital political participation. Simple linear regression was applied to test the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The findings show that social media use intensity has a positive and significant effect on students’ digital political participation (B = 0.717; p < 0.05; R = 0.289; R² = 0.083). Passive participation dominates, particularly News Attention (76%) and Discussion (65.2%). In terms of active participation, collective actions such as Protest Activities (65.9%) and Consumerism (58.7%) are relatively high, while direct actions such as Contacting (28.5%) and Communal Actions (48.2%) are less frequent. The study highlights the importance of strengthening digital political literacy to ensure that student participation is not only quantitatively high but also qualitatively meaningful. Future research should consider internal factors such as political motivation, digital literacy, and social environment to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between social media use intensity and digital political participation.
