Abstract

The decrease of local revenue on retribution and restaurant taxes in Medan during the year of 2020 has become interesting to be researched. It then slowly increased back in 2021. A significant raise of revenue also happened to the local retribution and restaurant taxes in 2022. However this was not followed by the local retribution that faced a decline back in 2022. The research aims at observing points to be analyzed and it is found that there are effects on retributions and taxes of coffee shops to the local revenue of Medan from the perspective of Islamic economy. The method of the research applies secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Medan for five years, beginning in 2019 until 2023. The data information taken from the questions is collected using eviews 10 program. The result of the research indicates that the area of coffee shops has positive and critical influence to the local revenue of Medan. The territorial demands on the coffee shops have positive impacts to unique wages in the area of Medan city. Territorial demands and retributions on the coffee shops also have critical and positive effects to the local revenue of the city of Medan. In terms of Islamic finance system local demands and income are interesting factors that attract individual commitments and become the reasons for a prosperity full of blessings and mercy from Allah SWT.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan akad mudharabah dalam produk asuransi syariah pada PT. Takaful Keluarga Cabang Medan, mengetahui sistem perhitungan bagi hasil pada produk asuransi syariah pada PT. Takaful Keluarga Cabang Medan dan mengetahui kesesuaian penerapan akad mudharabah di PT. Takaful Cabang Medan dengan Fatwa Dewan Syariah Nasional No:115/DSN-MUI/IX/2017. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PT. Takaful Keluarga cabang Medan menetapkan akad mudharabah pada produk takaful dana pendidikan (fulnadi). PT. Takaful Keluarga Cabang Medan menetapkan sistem perhitungan bagi hasil melalui kesepakatan pembagian keuntungan yang ditetapkan pada rasio bagi hasil atau nisbah antara peserta asuransi sebesar 85% dan pihak perusahaan asuransi takaful sebesar 15% . Pada perhitungan bagi hasil kedua belah pihak tidak akan mendapatkan bunga, tetapi akan mendapatkan bagi hasil atau profit and loss sharing dari hasil kesepakatan bersama. Penerapan akad mudharabah dan sistem perhitungan bagi hasil pada produk PT. Takaful Keluarga Cabang Medan sudah sesuai dengan Fatwa DSN No:115/DSN-MUI/IX/2017.

Abstract

The Community Social Care Management Program (PPKM) in Sengon Sari Village is an initiative launched to improve community welfare through various social interventions. This program aims to address fundamental problems such as lack of public facilities, health services, education, and community economic conditions. By involving donations from more affluent residents, PPKM focuses on providing assistance to underprivileged communities, including orphans, the elderly, and families in need of educational support. This study evaluates the effectiveness of PPKM by considering five main indicators: community understanding of the program, targeted assistance, timeliness of implementation, achievement of program objectives, and real changes in community life. Data were collected through interviews with the Village Head, PPKM Chair, and village community, and analyzed using NVivo 12 Plus software to identify key themes and patterns in the data. The results showed that although PPKM provided significant benefits in increasing access to education and improving public facilities, there were challenges that needed to be addressed. The main challenges included a lack of community understanding of the program, resistance to change, limited funds, and uneven participation. To address these issues, strategies such as increased socialization, use of local media, and transparency in fund management were implemented. This study recommends expanding socialization methods and increasing community participation to improve program effectiveness. In conclusion, PPKM in Sengon Sari Village has shown great potential in improving community welfare, but the success of this program depends on better understanding, active participation, and effective management. The results of this study are expected to provide a clear picture of PPKM implementation and offer recommendations for future improvements.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the influence of lifestyle on impulse buying behavior with Maqashid Syariah literacy as a moderating variable. The study technique is descriptive quantitative, and 100 UIN North Sumatra Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business students who utilize E-commerce were surveyed. Online Google Forms questions generate data for regression path analysis. Research shows numerous important conclusions: 1. Lifestyle has a significant effect on impulse buying with a coefficient of 0.217 based on path analysis. 2. Lifestyle also has a significant effect on Maqashid Syariah literacy with a coefficient of 0.604. 3. Maqashid Syariah literacy has a significant influence on impulse buying of 0.539. 4. Simultaneously, Maqashid Syariah lifestyle and literacy influence impulse buying based on regression tests and path analysis

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the analysis of factors that influence students decisions to invest in sharia mutual funds in the Bibit application in North Sumatra. The population in this study consisted of enrolled students in North Sumatra, and the sampling strategy employed was purposive sampling, yielding a total of 100 respondents. The study was conducted using the SPSS 15 software test tool and multiple linear regression analysis tests. In order to gather data for this study, online questionnaires with a Likert scale were sent, and multiple linear regression analysis was carried out using the SPSS version 15 software. The study's findings suggest that while wealth has little bearing on investment decisions, financial literacy does, and that investment decisions are influenced by ease of application

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the influence of student consumption habits on the management study program at the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business UIN North Sumatra. This hedonistic lifestyle encourages excessive consumption, which in this case is contrary to Islamic teachings. Islam prohibits excessive consumption triggered by this hedonistic lifestyle. The hypothesis of this study is that management students at the College of Economics and Islamic Business UIN North Sumatra have a positive relationship with hedonistic and consumptive lifestyles. The participants in this study were students of the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, UIN North Sumatra University. A total of 91 responses were obtained using the Slovin formula. This study used IBM SPSS version 27 for data analysis. According to the results of this study, hedonic lifestyle has a significant influence on consumption in management students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the development of Fintech technology and E-Commerce for UMKM in Padangsidimpuan city. The development of financial technology in Padangsidimpuan City is increasing, but there are still many people in Padangsidimpuan City who have not been served and use information technology. This study uses a qualitative approach with the types of data used by this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data, obtained based on interviews with respondents or informants. While secondary data obtained from journal literature, data, news, surveys, reports and theories related to research problems. This study uses analysis seen from the IFAS and EFAS matrices obtained from informants who are MSMEs in Padangsidimpuan City. The results of the study show that an aggressive strategy is the right strategy in encouraging the development of UMKM in Padangsidimpuan City to continue to maximize the strengths and opportunities that exist. From the results of the interviews, technological developments have not completely affected the SMEs of Padangsidimpuan City, because some of them are still attached to traditional culture. However, some of the UMKM in Padangsidimpuan City have used Fintech and E-Commerce services in their companies.

Abstract

Business competition between banks now shows increasingly tight competition to get customers, so banks are struggling to provide the best services and services. This research aims to find out whether there is an influence of Cross-Selling and up-selling in increasing customer loyalty at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KC Kuala Simpang. This research was conducted at BSI KC Kuala Simpang. This type of research uses quantitative methods, which collect data in the form of questionnaires that are distributed to users or customers of BSI KC Kuala Simpang. The population in this study was 1,200 customers with a sample size of 100. To determine the number of samples taken, the Slovin formula was used. Meanwhile, the analysis technique uses SPSS 25 software, which explains that the Cross Selling and up Selling variables have a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty. Cross-selling and up-selling are two strategies that companies often use to increase sales and increase customer satisfaction. Although they are two different techniques, they are closely related and often work together to maximize sales potential. Both strategies have the same goal, namely increasing the average transaction value per customer. Cross-selling involves selling additional products that are complementary or related to what the customer has already purchased, when it comes to up-selling, the aim is to persuade customers into buying a higher-priced or deluxe version of the product they initially planned to buy.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the decline in visitor interest in traveling to the Gundaling Hill tourist attraction and the many complaints from visitors after visiting Gundaling Hill Berastagi in the form of criticism and suggestions. The criticism and suggestions indicate dissatisfaction among visitors after visiting Gundaling Hill Berastagi which may be caused by reduced visitor satisfaction with the management. This study aims to analyze the influence of visitor satisfaction on visiting decisions. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive and quantitative. The sample in this study were people who had visited Gundaling Hill Berastagi, totaling 96 people. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using path analysis with a multiple linear regression model. The results of statistical tests show that the product variable has a positive effect on the intention to revisit (hypothesis 1 is accepted), the price variable has a positive effect on visitor satisfaction (hypothesis 2 is accepted), the place variable has a positive effect on visitor satisfaction (hypothesis 3 is accepted), the promotion variable has a positive effect on visitor satisfaction (hypothesis 4 is accepted), the regulation variable has a positive effect on visitor satisfaction (hypothesis 5 is accepted), the visitor satisfaction variable has a positive effect on the decision to visit (hypothesis 6 is accepted), the 4p+regulation variable does not have a positive effect on the decision to visit through visitor satisfaction.  . This study identifies factors such as product, price, place, promotion, and regulation that influence satisfaction and visitation decisions, but focuses on how visitor satisfaction mediates these relationships. This novelty provides tourism managers with insights into the importance of focusing on visitor satisfaction as a key element in increasing repeat visitation intentions, especially in local contexts that have rarely been analyzed before.

Abstract

The trend of trendy drinks in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth. The Es Teh Indonesia brand has gone viral and reached various cities, including Medan. This study aims to analyze the influence of price, promotion, product innovation, and social media on purchasing interest in the trendy drink Es Teh Indonesia brand in Medan City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire to 100 respondents aged 17-30 years and above who are consumers of Es Teh Indonesia. This study analyzed the data using the linear regression method with the ordinary least squares estimator. The results of this study indicate that social media and product innovation are the most dominant variables influencing purchasing interest. This study helps understand the younger generation's choice of trendy drinks, so that marketing strategies can be created that align with current trends and the use of digital media. Abstrak Trend minuman kekinian di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan pesat, salah satunya ditandai oleh merek Es Teh Indonesia yang menjadi viral dan menjangkau berbagai kota, termasuk Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh harga, promosi, inovasi produk, dan media sosial terhadap minat beli minuman kekinian merek Es Teh Indonesia di Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui kuesioner kepada 100 responden berusia 17-30 tahun keatas yang merupakan konsumen Es Teh Indonesia. Penelitian ini menganalisis data dengan metode regresi linear dengan estimator ordinary least square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media sosial dan inovasi produk menjadi variabel paling dominan mempengaruhi minat beli. Penelitian ini membantu memahami generasi muda memilih minuman kekinian, sehingga bisa membuat strategi pemasaran yang sesuai dengan perkembangan trend zaman sekarang dan pemanfaatan media digital.
