Abstract

Stunting is a condition in which a child's height falls below -2 standard deviations (SD) on the WHO growth curve, indicating that the child is short or very short. Indonesia's health development in the 2020-2024 period is focused on several priority programs, one of which is reducing stunting rates. One effort that can be made is increasing public knowledge about stunting prevention. This study aims to determine the effect of telemedicine based on a growth and development application on Android devices on improving the knowledge of adolescents in Central Lampung Regency. This research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional study design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The tools used in this study were an Android-based application and a questionnaire. Data analysis will be conducted using the non-parametric test (Wilcoxon). This study was conducted at SMA N 1 Sendang Agung with a sample of 54 respondents. The results of the study showed a significant effect of telemedicine (growth and development app) on improving adolescents' knowledge about stunting, with a p-value of 0.002 < 0.05. This indicates that the intervention through the app successfully improved adolescents' understanding of stunting. Increasing knowledge about stunting through the use of the growth and development app has proven effective. This app not only provides theoretical information about growth and development but also provides usable access, such as direct consultations with doctors. Therefore, recommendations can be given to expand the use of this app to more schools and other community groups to increase awareness and knowledge about stunting prevention widely.

Abstract

Abstract

Stunting refers to a condition when a child experiences impaired growth and development for his age due to malnutrition. Factors that cause stunting can be found during pregnancy or the early stages of child growth. In this study, researchers wanted to find out about the use of technology as a determinant of mothers' knowledge about stunting in toddlers aged 1-5 years. This type of research is quantitative using a cross-sectional study design. The design of this study was chosen to identify the influence of variables on Android mobile phones and growth and development applications on maternal knowledge about stunting aged 1-5 years. The research population was all mothers who had toddlers aged 1-5 years in Tanjung Sari Natar Village, South Lampung. The sample size using the non-probability sampling quota sampling technique is 50 respondents. The test was carried out using the Pearson correlation test, whether ownership of an Android mobile phone and growth and development applications is related to a mother's knowledge about stunting. The results of a significance value > 0.05 (cellphone 0.195, growth and development applications 0.113) mean that there is no significant correlation between owned mobile phones and growth and development applications, with knowledge of stunting.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a major health problem in Indonesia with complex risk factors, including lifestyle. This study aims to analyze the relationship between consumption of salty foods, instant noodles, sweet drinks, and smoking with the prevalence of hypertension at the provincial level. Methods: This cross-sectional study used data from 38 provinces in Indonesia in 2023. Normality tests were carried out followed by Spearman correlation analysis to measure the relationship between variables. Results: Consumption of salty foods showed a strong positive correlation with hypertension (p<0.001), while instant noodles had a moderate negative correlation that was not significant (p=0.052). No significant relationship was found between hypertension and consumption of soft drinks (p=0.210), energy drinks (p=0.280), or smoking (p=0.540). Conclusion: Excessive salt intake is a dominant risk factor for hypertension in Indonesia, which requires policy intervention, and the insignificance of other lifestyle factors requires further research with a longitudinal approach and multivariate analysis.

Abstract

Nutritional status in Indonesia, especially in toddlers is still a health problem, including malnutrition and stunting. Stunting is a linear growth disorder caused by chronic malnutrition or recurrent chronic infectious diseases. Risk Factors for chronic nutritional status in toddlers are not the same between regions, so this study aims to determine the risk factors for stunting in children under five in Gunung Batin Udik Village. This type of research was quantitative and the research design used observational analytics with a case-control approach. When this research was conducted on 5-20 November 2021 in Gunung Batin Udik Village, Terusan Nyunyai District, Central Lampung Regency in 2021. The population in this study were all toddlers of age 1-5 years old with a sample size of 120 respondents using simple random technique sampling. Data collection used questionnaires and observations then analyzed with the chi-square test. The results showed several risk factors for stunting events such as exclusive breastfeeding (OR: 2.704), mother's education level (OR: 3.455), mother's knowledge level (OR: 2.444), and family income (OR: 3.541). Whereas the fewer risk factors such as LBW (OR: 1,588), mother's employment status (OR: 2,093), latrine ownership (OR: 1,481), ownership of standard trash bins (OR: 0.576), and standard SPAL (OR: 0.619). Several factors are at risk for the incidence of stunting in infants.

Abstract

Introduction:Independent practice doctors are one of the goals for patients to get health services. In practice, before a patient comes to an independent doctor's practice, the patient has already decided whether to go to a general practitioner or a specialist. Doctors who practice independently in their services obtain data and information from the patients themselves. The data obtained is in the form of health data and identity data from the patient. related to the health data obtained, whether the independent doctor's practice has collaborated with the nearest health service facility and how health data management is carried out. This research discusses Health Data Management Analysis at Independent Practicing Doctors, Sendang Agung District, Central Lampung Regency. Method: Qualitative research using triangulation techniques using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The research was conducted at the independent practice of Dr. Siti Nur Indah, Sendang Mulyo Village, Sendang Agung District, Central Lampung Regency. There were 3 contributors to this research information. Results: the data produced at Dr. Siti Nur Indah's independent medical practice in the Central Lampung area is complete, this is shown in the registration book and patient medical records. Everything is recorded appropriately and completely. The completeness of the data available is still manual-based, meaning that the data recorded only uses paper without any digitization or use of supporting applications, so in this case there is still the potential for files to be difficult to find and lost. Apart from that, the data has not been reported to the nearest health service facility, this is evidenced by the lack of cooperation between private medical practices and community health centers, but regarding diseases that have the potential for outbreaks and treatment needs to be carried out at the community health center level, independent practicing doctors directly coordinate with the nearest community health center staff. , this is proven by WhatsApp messages sent to community health center officers regarding patients who need further treatment. Conclusion: Independent medical practice at dr. Siti Nur Indah's data management is good, complete and stored appropriately. However, the implementation is still done manually without using computer applications and devices. Apart from that, the health data obtained has not been made into graphic tables or carried out further analysis to determine disease trends and health status in the community. Apart from that, there has also been no reporting to the nearest health center regarding health data.
