Abstract

The low level of education in Indonesia can be caused by the low level of educational human resources in Indonesia, namely educators or teachers who do not have professionalism in carrying out their duties. Academic supervision is one way that can be taken to improve the quality of education through career development or professionalism of a teacher. Academic supervision leads to improving educational problems by guiding, supervising, mentoring and directing teachers to become professional in their field to improve education and fix problems in education. Academic supervision helps teachers make plans in the learning process so as to produce the desired output in learning. The aim of writing this article is to examine academic supervision in increasing teacher professionalism. This type of article writing method uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. Based on research studies, several results were obtained that academic supervision consists of two parts, namely individual supervision and group supervision.

Abstract

Perencanaan dalam mengerjakan sesuatu sangatlah urgen (penting) hal ini, menjadi pedoman dalam rangka melakukan setiap tindakan-tindakan yang akan kita lakukan demi mencapai sebuah tujuan. Hal ini, memberikan sumbangsih yang besar bagi perkembangan dan layanan yang maksimal kelompok bimbingan ibadah haji dan umrah di KBIHU Nurul Haramain, selain itu, dengan adanya perencanaan ini, KBIHU Nurul Haramain dapat menetapkan tujuan yang ingin dicapai dan menyusun rencana untuk mencapai  tujuan tersebut. Penelitian ini, menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif untuk mengkaji penelitian secara detail dengan  jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian didapatkan dari Direktur KBIHU Nurul Haramain (purpose sampling) namun juga mempertimbangkan model snowball sampling. Adapun teknis analisis datanya dengan cara mengumpulkan data, mereduksi data, mendisplay data, dan mengambil kesimpulan. Sedangkan untuk keabsahan datanya menggunakan model trianggulasi (peneliti, sumber data, metode, dan teori). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan yang dilakukan KBIHU Nurul Haramain ialah rapat manajemen, menyusun perencanaan perjalanan, menentukan fasilitas ibadah haji, mempersiapkan fasilitas kesehatan, memastikan efektifitas jama’ah di tanah suci, mempersiapkan kebutuhan yang tidak terduga.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the application of religious values in every aspect of life at MI Miftahul Ulum Opo-opo and its impact on the formation of student character. The research method used is qualitative with data collection through interviews and observation. This research focuses on routine religious activities carried out in schools, such as congregational prayers, reciting the Koran, and the integration of religious teaching in general subjects. The research results show that the application of religious values in the school environment has a positive impact on the formation of students' character, especially in terms of discipline, responsibility, empathy and concern for others. Students become more disciplined in carrying out daily activities, respect time, and show concern for the environment and other people. Apart from that, close collaboration between the school and parents also strengthens the formation of students' religious character. Parents support religious activities at school and accompany children in religious activities at home. Overall, MI Miftahul Ulum Opo-opo has succeeded in creating an environment that not only supports students' intellectual development, but also strengthens character formation based on Islamic religious teachings. In this way, students are ready to face life's challenges with commendable morals and a strong religious foundation, making them individuals who are not only academically intelligent, but also have good morals.

Abstract

This study investigates how human resource management can enhance teacher competence through Qira'ati method training at Integrated Islamic Kindergarten (TK Islam Terpadu) Kraksaan Probolinggo. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with informants consisting of the school principal and three teachers selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted based on the Miles and Huberman framework, including data presentation, reduction, and conclusion drawing. The study results indicate that teacher training activities, mainly through the Qira'ati method, improve teacher competence at TK Islam Terpadu Kraksaan. This training introduces new teaching techniques and enhances teachers' understanding and skills in implementing the Qira'ati method in their teaching practices. By providing training that aligns with the educational needs at TK Islam Terpadu, it is expected that the quality of teachers will improve, positively impacting the teaching and learning process and developing students' character. This study contributes to understanding the importance of human resource management in optimizing teacher competence through structured and relevant training programs that address the educational needs at the kindergarten level.

Abstract

In the context of Indonesian society, health practices are often influenced by local culture, which is rich in traditions and values of wisdom. However, religious legal values also have a significant role in shaping people's views on health. The relationship between these two aspects raises various deep questions. How exactly can local culture-based health practices harmonize with religious legal values? Can the two go hand in hand, or is there a potential for conflict? The modern era brings new challenges in integrating local traditions with the ever-growing development of health science. This challenge also includes how the principles of religious law remain relevant in maintaining a balance between preserving local culture and the need for adaptation to modern progress. Amid this rapid change, exploring how religious law can support traditional health practices without ignoring modern scientific values is essential. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature study approach (library research). The aim is to analyze the relationship between health, local culture and Islamic teachings, assess the role of local culture in an Islamic perspective, examine the relevance of Islamic teachings in a modern context, and formulate practical steps by sharia to maintain health and respect local culture. The research results show that the synergy between Islamic teachings, local culture and health can create a healthy, harmonious society that adheres to religious values, even amidst the challenges of modern progress.

Abstract

The mental health of university students has increasingly become a global concern due to academic pressures, social challenges, and personal stress. Many students face barriers to accessing traditional mental health services, such as stigma, cost, and limited resources. In this context, this study highlights the potential of chatbots as an innovative tool to bridge gaps in mental health services within academic institutions.This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at Nurul Jadid University. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation to gain an in-depth understanding of the impact of chatbot usage on students' mental health. The respondents were students and lecturers, providing diverse perspectives on chatbot utilization. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and verification using content, discourse, and interpretive analysis methods. The findings indicate that chatbots are effective in addressing mild to moderate mental health issues but remain limited in handling more complex problems. A lack of personalization also emerged as a significant concern, with 55% of students and 60% of practitioners suggesting that improvements in this area are necessary to optimize the chatbot's ability to meet users' needs.

Abstract

In-depth interviews and documentation data analysis, this research found that transparency in finances, delivery of daily activities, publication of achievements, and policy announcements are the main components in Islamic boarding school communication strategies. Communication media such as official websites, social media and printed reports synergistically convey information to various audiences. The research results show that open and targeted communication not only increases public trust but also strengthens the image of Islamic boarding schools as professional, responsible and competitive institutions. This research contributes by offering a communication model relevant for other educational institutions, although there are limitations in the context and research methods that require further exploration.

Abstract

Wujud karakter manusia tidak dapat begitu saja lahir dengan perilaku yang baik. Karakter baik perlu ditanamkan dan dibiasakan selalu terjadi pada manusia, di mana ia selalu beraktivitas dan berinteraksi bersama sesamanya. Lembaga pendidikan melalui programnya merupakan tempat yang tepat untuk penanaman dan pembiasaan karakter yang baik. Namun keadaan ini tidak bisa dilakukan oleh satu orang saja. Semua elemen dari struktur tertinggi sampai terendah pada lembaga pendidikan harus bisa menyempatkan, mampu, dan berkemauan untuk berpartisipasi dalam menjadikan karakter baik itu tercipta pada setiap diri peserta didik. Oleh karena itu perlu kebijakan dan manajemen pengembangan kurikulum berbasis karakter yang terencana pada lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Pembahasan dalam artikel ini dianalisis melalui berbagai referensi (pustaka) tentang manajemen pendidikan karakter kontemporer, dikuatkan melalui observasi dan interview terhadap beberapa pihak pemangku lembaga pendidikan kontemporer. Temuan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa manajemen pengembangan kurikulum yang berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter dapat dilakukan melalui kombinasi metode yang integrated dalam kurikulum antara lain, metode uswatun hasanah (role model), simulasi praktik (experiential learning), ikon dan afirmasi (icon and affirmation), kekuatan kharisma (charismatic power), 99 Asma’ul Husna (99 Names of Allah), membangun kesepakatan nilai keunggulan, dan penggunaan metafora dengan tetap memperhatikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada setiap mata pelajaran, prinsip, dan inovasi pengembangan kurikulum berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter baik bagi peserta didik.
